Sam’s Club

This is a very nice Sams club.
They have a wide selection of everything needed. The employees are always super nice.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead if 5 is because of the parking lot. The parking spaces are very tiny and it seems like they don’t have enough spaces to hold the cars needed to shop here.

The good thing is you can get in as early as 7am with a business membership. (Usually you can ‘sneak ’ in if you don’t). Definitely great prices on bulk items, fresh produce and varieties of wine. Perhaps they have gotten a new GM lately as club looks better recovered and stocked. But the associates still have a hard time greeting customers and asking if they needed assistance. Sam W. Is rolling over in his grave, I’m sure. Waited 15 minutes for help in meat department to inquire about a potential large order but no one ever came. Including the one who said they would get help for me. I’d really like to give this club more stars because it’s close to my house, but I will end up going to the Greenwood club instead if nothing changes.

Here, it seems, the store is in chaos regularly. Most of the product was recently relocated in different areas of the warehouse. Some of the food items have been moved and integrated with the rest of the merchandise. Typical ‘advertising’ to herd shoppers closer to impulse items. Why would one look for a 4 pound bag of M&M’s next to a patio set?
Can’t complain too much. Red Lobster biscuit mix and olive oil are generally cheaper here than anywhere else.

It’s sams! The only negative for me is that the gas station doesn’t accept cash. I was told I could drive to the warehouse to get a SAMs gift card with the cash and then come back and use the gift card. Uh…

This club is in a somewhat difficult location, but the employees are generally friendly. The man who was checking cards today looked like he didn’t care and didn’t want to be there, though.
I like this location because of the gas station. Inside the store, things are okay, but just, though I don’t know how the other two Indianapolis area stores work. It could be a lot better. My visit today was probably my 20^th and I’ve seen the store better and worse.
I went there specifically today because Sam’s Club sent a Twitter message saying that the Google Nexus 7 tablets were in all stores. I asked about them, and was told that they had not arrived yet. I was left wondering whether the employee didn’t know, receiving didn’t handle them yet to get them to the floor, or their headquarters are just unaware of reality. Things happen.
In any case, the store is not that far off Post Road, so it’s more convenient than West 86^th or East 96 (Fishers?). I just wish that someone cared as much as they do at typical Sam’s Club stores.
Once again, no Visa cards accepted.
I must say that the associates in tires and batteries had to clean up someone else’s mess. I’d had tires installed in Cincinnati, and on the way to Southport, the tires had a terrible vibration. I stopped here and they re-​balanced all four tires. They definitely get another star for taking care of business correctly.

Pretty quick check-​out, fairly friendly and helpful staff, especially in the optical center. This is my regular eye doctor not just because exams are CHEAP, but because she’s really thorough and does a nice job explaining things. The techs are nice too.
