Came here to find a sari for a wedding I am in this summer. It was a pretty meh experience. However I adore the sari I ended up purchasing and cannot wait to get it altered and wear it in June!

I came all the way from Chicago to visit Sai’s Boutique.(despite having a little India of our own just blocks away from where I live) I’ve ventured into almost every Indian saree shop in Chicago, and have YET to experience the level of quality in service and saree styles as I have at this place. This was actually our second time here and on both occasions, we were shopping for wedding related sarees. Very excited to come back soon for the next sister of mine who will be getting married. :)

We were in the neighborhood for the Unilocal Elite event at Spice Nation across the hall. It just so happened that Sai’s was part of the festivities! We arrived early and strolled in the shop to have a look around. They have saris as far as the eye can see, and many beautiful pieces of jewelry and accessories to add a little bling. We had our photos taken as part of the Unilocal event at Spice Nation in beautiful clothing that the shop owners generously let us borrow for the camera. It was a great evening and you can bet we’ll be back when we’re in the area!

I know I love Indian food, so why not try Indian fashion? My friend Amy C. invited me on her search for a sari in which I happily replied«yes!» I had been eying Sai’s jewelry collection for quite some time(I often find myself rolling out of Spice Nation feeling miserable from my gluttonous feasting and have never made the stop). Sai’s is located in a strip mall that could easily be called Little India with several eateries, a grocery, hair salon and fashion stops tucked away inside. Sai’s is conveniently located across the hall from one of my favorite restaurants(Spice Nation). Their selection ranges from highly adorned and glitzy clutches and sandles to saris for for all audiences. However, what catches my eye the most at Sai’s is their collection of costume-like jewelry. Never will I ever go to a gala again without one of these beauts on my neck. Vibrant colors and layers upon layers of jewels make up these intricately over-the-top gems. Clearance prices start around $ 20 for earrings(that’s where you’ll find me). As for the clothing — there are soooo many options! You wouldn’t assume there was as much tucked away in the shop as there is by walking past. Dressing rooms are available in the back. Even if you’re not looking for a flashy-style dress, there are dozens and dozens of laid back and flowy dresses available. Make an afternoon of it and hit the grocery and restaurant while there!
