Frozen custard delicious. Décor adorable especially with the old school music. Comparable to Orange Leaf even(alternate ice cream place). I enjoyed my 2-scoop sundae. My children enjoyed their treats. However the workers and their little friends bring this place waaaay down. I would give this place a 3.5−4 star but this kids hanging out in here(clearly friends of the workers) made this an unhappy experience. The people hanging out in the dining room were loud… using foul language in front of my three young children. How rude?! If those were my friends, I would’ve asked them to keep it down or something. I don’t know. I know a business can’t choose its patrons, but if I know you, I’m going to ask you to keep it down. I don’t know??! The next time I come(if I come), we’ll get the custard outside and sit in my car or something. Managements needs to take note This is my first time here and I took my time checking out the menu and all they had to offer.

This location really needs some serious maintenance. The soda machine has been down for a long while now. The edges of the tables are filthy with old ice cream that never gets cleaned off. It needs a lot of help. We went there this evening and I ordered a Turtle Sundae. First off, it tasted like mint. What? So, I took it back up. They had mint in the vanilla mixed up together. They made me a new one but I’ll say that their ice cream scoop holder looked filthy. It had need of some serious cleaning. I’m always a bit worried about those ice scream scoop holders anyway… where they have some kind of liquid in them and the store the scoop there after scooping the flavor. All the flavors mix in that junk. BUT, the sad thing is that I noticed the vanilla now has lost it’s flavor there. Ritters has now gone down hill. Why? Did they sell out or did the kids take over and want mansions? I think I’ll hit up Handels when I need an ice cream fix from now on.

I love Ritter’s Frozen Custard! This stuff is above and beyond regular or even premium ice cream! The flavors are fantastic, so are the cakes, And the sundaes — oh delicious culinary creativity! My personal favorite is the Black Raspberry Glacier — their answer to the Flurry. Delicious, very rich, and very worth it! Just ask for a glass of water with your treat. This location is a bit different than any other Ritter’s Frozen Custard places. First off, its open all year long! This is great news for you ice cream/frozen custard connoisseurs, like myself! Second, there is indoor and outdoor seating, which is why its year long. Third, there is a drive-up and outdoor pick up! Well this location used to be a fast food restaurant, so they are utilizing the building perks. And this is great perk for when you need your frozen custard needs in the rain or snow storm(yes, people do that!) The only downside to this location is the surround neighborhood. Unfortunately this side of town is in decline. Sometimes this location tends to shut down for long periods of time, so thanks to the economy its hard to tell if this location is here to stay.
