Maybe because this is my first-time buying storage EVER, I could be being a little hard. Of course, I expected to pay more than the«First Month Rent for $ 1» bait to draw customers in. W/no prior warning, as soon as I reserved a unit online, ‘BAM’ a $ 24 Administration Fee was added. Hidden Fee #1. I would’ve appreciated a heads up, but okay, I can accept that. The email then stated in BOLD text, ‘Total cost to move in: $ 25′. Great. When I get to the office to claim my reservation, I’m given the run-down. The office manager takes me to see the unit and demonstrated how to unlock, open, close and lock it. When we get back to the office, she pulls out paperwork. I’m then told about Hidden Fee #2! Insurance is mandatory! I’m not even storing a lot in the unit, so I reluctantly select the lowest insurance level for $ 11, which covers up to $ 3,000. If that wasn’t enough, towards the end of the paperwork, I am told that about Hidden Fee #3! I am also being charged $ 21.39 for the LOCK! As if it somehow makes it better, I’m told that I can keep the lock, for life. I don’t care about keeping a lock that I’ll probably never use again, they can keep the stupid thing when I leave! So much for that email that said, «Total cost to move in: $ 25». LIES. The total cost to move in ended up being $ 57.39, more than DOUBLE what the email states. If I wasn’t short on time, I’d’ve walked out of there.

I love the fact that you’re able to access your belongings 24 hours a day! Not a big deal to most, but a huge deal to me. It would be nice if the gate were unlocked during business hours. Office staff is pretty decent too.
