Went to Paradise bakery to pick up four dozen cookies. They said they could maybe scrounge together a dozen assorted. It’s a bakery its two clock and they have no cookies which is something they’re known for I would call this a huge fail. Said they could have some in 20 minutes, I went to marsh.

The food is completely unappealing to me but the highlight is the coconut chocolate chip cookies. These are some very good cookies worth 5 stars on their own. Other than that its not worth visiting.

I hate to be a Negative Nancy but everything about this location is all wrong. The ordering process is stressful: they write down your sandwich but then you have to walk to order your pre-determined ingredient salad at a salad bar? Or do you order your salad from the girl with the paper pad too? So confusing because I have been asked/told both ways. The salad ordering process is so slow. «I’ll have the Chicken Avocado Cobb with NOBACON» and the girl says«do you want egg? Avocado? Tomatoes? Which tomatoes?» «Yes I want everything it comes with except bacon and whichever tomatoes it normally comes with…» You have to tell the cashier what you ordered. It’s such a chore. The employees don’t even know how the ordering process goes. Next, there are no bins or trash cans to clear your table…& no one comes to take plates off for you. Stuck with a table full of plates and trays I don’t need while I’m trying to do hw. Great. Ciabatta is no bueno. Very few electrical outlets. It’s seriously just such a mess. I came a couple times just to do homework, but now I’d rather go to Taco Bell ;) Oh, yeah, my salad ended up with bacon and I ate only a few pieces of lettuce. Thanks, «Paradise»!

Ehhh. How can a business so simple and not busy fail so hard in one short evening? I hadn’t been here in years and was looking for a place to hang out and talk with my friend, this food sounded good and was a convenient spot for us to meet. We both already knew what we wanted to get so we walked up and we ordered. I decided on the Roasted Turkey & Avocado sandwich. We went to pay and were not offered any sides or even a drink so we just awkwardly walked over and got water and sat down. Our food came out pretty fast [there is one positive] and while the food tasted pretty good my sandwich was small for $ 8. Yes, I also got a cookie, yes, it was good but not worth the overall price of the food. But good cookies is not all a business should ride on to impress their customers. While the sandwich’s flavor was fine, it was nothing to write home about. I am mad at myself for not taking a picture, but I was just so hungry I dove right in. By the time I got home later, I was hungry again. Also, it was really cold in the part of the dining room we sat in. It got even more weird when I went to order a to-go meal for my husband. After standing awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge me, I finally got a bored looking employee to write down the order. Went to pay and the manager was the one ringing me up. She first rang me up for what appeared to be a half size sandwich and then realized the paper said full so I paid for the $ 9 flatbread. But hey, at least she asked if I wanted anything else with it. When I got my bag from the bored employee, I noticed there was just one simple box in there so I checked and realized I didn’t get a cookie. He begrudgingly gave me one. It wasn’t until I was driving home that I realized I may have only received half a sandwich, after the effort she put in to correct what she rang up and charge me for a full, I would have expected the order to go through correctly. Ugh. I wish I had noticed while I was there. Please see the picture for what I paid $ 9 for, with a cookie of course. Who knows, maybe that is the full… TL;DR — Just not worth the price, grab some cookies if you must but the food is a let down.

This is a Panera Bread location, bit is not sure what it wants to be. I had lunch today and ordered the half a soup and sandwich. The sandwich had no mayo, or mustard, and when I asked is they had any I was pointed to the counter which had ketchup and hot sauce. Thats it! The sandwich was bland and the soup tasted burnt. I would look elsewhere for a good meal.

The food is good, service is usually quick. Today there was no wait. strangely enough. If you need variety, from salads to soups to sandwiches and not your standard Panera style lunch — worth checking out.

I was wanting to actually get something to eat but wife had just got out of minor surgery and wanted something«to go» I get it. Asked what do you want? Got a «whatever» Paradise Bakery was ahead, Paradise Bakery it is I guess. As alluded before yes it’s Panera, yes it’s disorganized what is up with that ordering system? Girls were nice, it was late so no line build up behind me making me panic, had to go back to get my salad. Got a cookie with each meal, hey I don’t eat sweets! Ate all 3 before I got home. Arrgh! Squash soup was wonderful, thai chicken salad full of giant croutons(?) chicken cranberry flatbread a-ok. Total was under $ 20, their forte is more pastries and breads much like Panera. Not sure if this is a chain or not, it’s ok.

Find somewhere else. Incredibly poor customer service, disorganized, overpriced, okay food. I really want to like this place, but the constant deer-in-the-headlights look from their staff, mumbling mouths, and poor organization has irked me. I pop in a few times a month for lunch — which is always packed, but the menu is Panera Bread, so it’s easy(you’d think)… just don’t ask for anything special in or out of your salad… it’s like a sudden algebra question for the guys making your lunch. For example, today I went to Paradise for a quick breakfast and coffee — it was 10:06… sorry, sir we stop serving breakfast at 10. Okay, it’s just a few over, can ya break a couple eggs and make me an egg sandwich? No. And that’s the third time that’s happened to me there. I usually say okay and choose a muffin or something comparable… So today I asked to speak with the manager and see if I could persuade him to make this happen for me. Nope. Company policy. How about a company policy to make some money? Nope. I guess they don’t need my five bucks, which is fine — plenty of other restaurants do. Done with them.

Paradise is a decent place to have a meeting. I’ve been going here with a life coaching group for about a month and a half, and the layout is such that you can have a private conversation without feeling like people at other tables nearby are hearing it, too. If a good conversation is your goal, though, be careful about where you sit — for some reason the music sounds much louder in the back of the restaurant! Staff are always friendly, if a little slow at times. Food is pretty good, coffee is decent, cookies are delicious — definitely save room for dessert, or stop by for a snack.

Great atmosphere and their baked goods are to die for! I stopped by here on the way to work this morning to grab some fresh baked cookies for a co-worker who got a promotion. Best gift! Also their lunch menu is very nice and healthy. A great assortment of soup and sandwiches. Plus outdoor seating!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Paradise for lunch, and I think it will be some time before I return. The entire experience was confusing and poorly managed. I grabbed my tray at the beginning of the line. The guy before me ordered a sandwich from an employee and took a number. Right after he ordered, the employee left, so I hung around waiting on him to return(while the line behind me continued to grow.) When he finally returned, I told him my order. He told me he only did sandwiches, so I looked up at the menu to repeat my sandwich selection and when I looked back, he was gone again. Finally, I was able to order my ½ sandwich. I wandered down the line, not knowing where I picked it up, or where I was supposed to order my ½ salad until I finally asked someone. I had passed it, and had to swim back upstream to the salad station. I ordered the shrimp and couscous salad. After they started making it, they told me they were out of one of the key ingredients and asked if I minded. Kind of, but I’d rather get the hell out of the line and safely to my table, so just make it. The person with me was battling the line, trying to swim upstream to order her mac & cheese, so I took my salad, paid, and found a table. The food was so/so. I’d put Paradise right on par with Panera Bread. Because of the poorly managed half-assed cafeteria line, I’ll be visiting Panera instead though.

I’ve been to Paradise before for cookies. The cookies are amazing. Today I went for lunch and a meeting. I ordered the chicken tortellini special. The pasta was okay. I think any Italian restaurant would be better, but this is a cookie store, so we’ll let it slide. The chicken however was terrible. It stunk, was cold, and still had imprints from whatever can it had been removed from. That is the chicken on an $ 11.00 bowl of pasta! Straight out of the can and f’ing terrible. Ruined the meal. I may be back for cookies, but for any kind of food, I’ll hit McAllister’s or even better, Daddy Jack’s across the street.

it’s basically a Panera. In fact, I think they might be part of the same chain? The format and the menus are pretty much the same. We hit up this location for a breakfast meeting and it’s certainly good for that. Lots of business folks here and free wifi available. Be aware that it does get very loud when crowded due to the high ceilings and hard surfaces. Adding an extra star for the stellar selection of iced teas available — sweet, regular, berry, mango AND hibiscus, plus iced coffee. As a great lover of iced tea this made me extremely happy.

I had a ticket to Paradise Bakery and Café on a Sunday morning. I ordered breakfast sandwiches which they said they stopped serving breakfast. The web site and the manger behind the cashier both said they are still serving breakfast. I had to wait around for quite sometime before the manager checked in on me and noticed I was still waiting. The sandwiches didn’t even get started. :\ They did turn out to be very yummy, so I hope they get their stuff together and I’ll be back.

Off to Zen Dentistry for a cleaning… ooops…I’m 40 minutes early. «Hey go down to Paradise for lunch until the people come back». Sure. why not? I think they are owned by Panera. They have similar stuff on the menu, and their wi-fi says. uh…“Panera”. The lunch cafeteria style ordering(grab a tray and head on down the line) was kinda cool. They had lots of high top table, booth, and group table seating… not too shabby. Lots of pretty girls there on their lunch break. but I’d expect no less. it was Meridian Hills. I had a half Turkey on Molasses bread with cranberry spread. It was just okay. I also ordered 2 Snickerdoodle cookies. and I kid you not. they were sooooo DRY that they literally disintegrated in my hand. I’d like to say that next time I’ll try something else. but right now I don’t feel like it. My next cleaning is a full 6 months away, and I certainly won’t go looking for another location. :) I’ll stick with regular Panera. They never fail.

It’s a decent chain which can be great for quick lunches and weekend breakfast. They have a good selection of sandwiches and salad that are priced ok and decent portions too. They always give you a free cookie when you’re about to pay. Their chocolate chip cookie is pretty darn soft and good. I can just imagine the amount of butter and sugar in it but its hard not to finish a piece.

Paradise can mean different things to different people. For me, it’s as if the PIXAR headquarters has been magically transported to Bora Bora and I’m in charge of making sure the cereal bar is well stocked for the animators and every once in a while, they have me do the voice of a zany marmoset. As far as Paradise Bakery is concerned, the paradise might mean a spot where people can get some outstanding baked goods, delicious sandwiches made to order and any number of healthy salads. Now, I’ve been visiting Paradise Bakery for many years now — I believe the first one I enjoyed was the Castleton location. However, this review is for one of their newer locations on North Meridian just south of 465. This spot is very easy to get to for us and I’ve always had a positive experience. While the ordering process is a little confusing at first, mostly because of the extensive choices, once you get the hang of it, it’s a fairly smooth process. As I am now in a «plant based» lifestyle, I can really only comment that in the past, I’ve really loved their Chipotle Chicken sandwich and I was a huge fan of their Turkey Cranberry sandwiches. Paradise does an outstanding job with their baked goods, and I’ve never had anything there I haven’t liked. Their cookies are just delicious and their scones, brownies and other pastries are wonderful. Many happy returns.

This place drives me crazy. No matter when you visit, the service is maddening. At lunchtime, it is packed. The cafeteria line concept is OK, but the design of the line makes it impossible to quickly get your meal ordered and paid for. The check out process is really slow and little things, like handing to-go orders to the diner, but not having bags for them to carry all of the stuff readily available lead to unnecessary delays. It can easily take 10 – 15 minutes to navigate the line and pay. During lunch, the noise is also off the charts. Forget having a conversation. Visit in the evening, after all of the office workers are gone, and it is equally frustrating. The evening staff is not a well trained and there are sure to be items that are not available because they have run out of ingredients. This recently happend to me, when the could not fulfill my children’s kids meals orders because they had run out of wheat and white bread. Are you kidding… you have the word Bakery in your name and you don’t have bread to make kids a grilled cheese at 6PM? In this case the manager was apologetic and offered coupons for us to return, but I will still be hesitant to take my kids back, given the limited options and availability issues. If you can’t keep your ingredients in stock by 6PM, maybe you should close after the lunch rush. the food here is ok and a bit pricey, but the food is not good enough to overcome the service issues. If I’m going to pay $ 25 for lunch for two, I want to relax a little bit. This is not the place for a relaxing experience.

Holy fire roasted tomato soup! Mmmmmmmm. I LOVE this soup. I really thought about trying the lemon orzo soup. It sounded good, it really did. But I just can’t not get this soup when I’m here. And even though the seat of my car burned my skin when I got into it to head over to Paradise Café, and my skin started to condensate when I shut the car door, I knew I was going to get the soup. I really can’t help it. They ask if I want the sour cream and tortilla strips. It’s good with sour cream in it, too, but it’s really not necessary. It’s creamy enough without it, so I usually just say no. Today, I got the California Turkey sandwich. I was going to forder a half(½ soup, ½ sandwich), but the lovely chef in the line made me a whole! So I got away with a whole sandwich– BONUS! The best thing to happen to me all day. I’ve kind of had a crappy day– So thank you wonderful Paradise person! The sandwich itself is alright. It has this pesto mayo that I’m sure some people would clamor over. I’m sure it’s probably super hip to some. Not a huge fan of mayo, and pesto, while good in some dishes, just isn’t my favorite. I LOVE bacon, but I usually have to cook it myself becuase I like it so burnt and cruncy. It was still good and tasted like bacon. It was pretty nice and fresh. I ated all of it, though. Still pretty yum. I almost called in the order, but the process is so quick, that I can get right in and right out. It’s pretty pointless to call in the order, really. Nice n’ Quick! Good job!

Any place that gives you a cookie with your meal is my kind of place! I haven’t been to a Paradise since I lived in Phoenix so when my sister told me they had a few in Indy, I got giddy thinking about their chocolate chip cookies. This Paradise is huge, I’m talking high ceilings, food art, muchos tables and just a very clean space. It was so huge that we were there with my two yr old niece who was having a freak out session and we didn’t even get any disapproving looks or anything, weird. I love their pick two combo where you can get soup, salad or a sandwich and their chicken salad never disappoints. And the cookie? Just as good as I remembered…
