I would only use this Merry Maids if you plan to be at home and watch over them as they clean, otherwise, you will come home to a half done job. That has been my experience after using their service about 4 – 6 times a year for the last year.

The best word I can describe for Merry Maids is ‘Inconsistent.” After nearly three years of twice monthly cleaning, it has not improved very much. Every time there is a new person, it is like I am starting from scratch. On of my biggest beefs is that things are moved and not returned to the original location. After every cleaning, I have to readjust the blinds, lampshades, and appliances on the kitchen counter. They simply don’t pay attention. The other issue is that they go through the motions, but they don’t really clean. Sure, they run a cleaning rag across the kitchen counters, but the counters are still sticky. They don’t seem to check. And, even when I tell them they can keep any money they find between the couch cushions, they never clean there. I want to be a satisfied client, not a quality control inspector.

This was my first call to Merry Maids and a pretty desperate one at that! They listened to my needs & brought in their team to literally work miracles in my parents home. There was so much to be done in so little time that they called in reinforcements to get the job done. They were friendly, professional, detailed & affordable. I feel relieved & satisfied! Worth every penny!

The actual cleaning from Merry Maids should receive five stars. However the mistakes and how it has been handled by management has pushed it to two stars. When I walk into my house after a Merry Maids visit, it smells wonderful. They do a great job with the kitchen and usually vacuum the couch which is important since I have a cat. The problems I have had, on the smaller end of the spectrum, is that they have missed cleaning the shower, dusting my nightstand, catching the cobwebs in the corners, and not dusting the ceiling fans until I called and complained. I understand that things can be forgotten but for the price we pay for this service, really nothing should be missed. And now for the biggie: They have locked us out of our house and we had to call a locksmith to get in. Most recently, they left our front door open. I’m not talking just unlocked. It was open! It scared me to death as I thought someone was robbing the place. When my husband called we received an apology. Really? I practically wet my pants in fear, our house was open all day to anyone who wanted to waltz in, and all we get is an «I’m really sorry?» Not good enough. I’m now shopping around.
