The staff at Local Hands is very personable and I felt like I could discuss my views for my home remodel with them easily. The free estimate was great, and they gave great suggestions on what I should buy for my bathroom remodeling. I have already recommended this business to my family and friends, I’d definitely go back to their business if I have any other remodeling needs!

Used LocalHands to renovate my kitchen. It turned out and I was really happy we decided to go with them. Price: We got quotes from 3 different contractors and LocalHands was the most competitive. They helped us identify what products were compatible and we purchased materials to keep the cost lower. They would have purchased them also for us, but told us they would need to charge for pick-up and delivery which is fair. Quality: Quality was great. Cabinets and backsplash turned out great… I thought it would have been quicker but not complaining that they took their time to do it right. Interface: Zach helped coordinate everything from start to finish. They kept us involved with the schedule and timeline and have this online app and website that we could easily interact and pay. I’m not sure if less tech savvy people would figure it out, but it’s great for us! Definitely very modern and will use again.

I am honestly appalled at how I have been treated as a returning customer of Local Hands this year and will not be giving them any additional business. To give some perspective, last year I had Local Hands do my weekly lawn-mowing, as well as a spring clean-up. Their lack of professionalism and competency has been astounding over the last 1.5 months, as indicated by the timeline below. Mar 6 — Initial email to request estimate/scheduling for spring clean-up. No response. Mar 11 — Second email to request estimate/scheduling. Mar 17 — Estimate provided and April 1st scheduled for clean-up. April 1 — Work not completed. No communication to me whatsoever as to why or when it will be rescheduled. As a courtesy, I gave Local Hands several days to reach out to me. No communication. April 4 — In the morning, I emailed to ask why the work hadn’t been done on April 1st. No reply. April 4 — In the evening, I called to ask why the work hadn’t been done on April 1st. Voicemail was full, so was not able to leave voicemail. April 7 — Call Local Hands again, finally reaching them. As a reminder, at this point there has been no communication to me whatsoever as to why the clean-up wasn’t completed six days previously. It’s explained to me that they prioritized Groupon customers over me, a returning customer. At this point, April 14 is provided as day that the work will be completed, even though the weather forecasts plenty of dry days between April 7th and April 14th. Although I’m fairly annoyed that they would prioritize Groupon customers over me, I give them the benefit of the doubt and schedule it for April 14th. April 14 — Work not completed, and again, no communication as to why. Upon discovering that the work hadn’t been done, email Local Hands, asking to call me to discuss spring clean-up. No response. April 15 — Leave voicemail for Kyle, asking to discuss spring clean-up. After waiting an hour, decide that two strikes is enough and cancel the job. I write them an email to cancel the job, provide the timeline above, as well as express my frustration with this experience. I also indicate that I will be leaving a negative review. Not surprising, only 20 minutes after sending the email, I receive a phone call because they don’t want me to leave negative reviews. So they’re capable of being responsive, but only when a negative review is on the line.

I had LocalHands fix some lighting in my kitchen and do leaf removal and gutter cleaning. Scheduling and getting quotes is really easy and they did quality work. I’ll definitely use LocalHands again in the future!
