Great place for strong margaritas. When I came in last week, I had guacamole and didn’t care for it at all. It lacked lime juice and seasonings. It was just bland for my taste. I realize that La Mulita and Delicia aren’t the same restaurant, but I do wish La Mulita’s guac tasted like Delicia’s. I’ll be back to try other things, as I hear good things about the tacos.

After coming a few times I feel like I can finally get a good feel for the place. The margaritas are great, but run small compared to several other establishments in the area. I have the same complaint about the guacamole. If I am paying 5 bucks I’d like more than 4 tablespoons of guac. It’s good, there just isn’t enough to really share or justify the price. As far as food, you can’t go wrong with the Cubano. It’s an unexpected addition on the menu and my go-to!

This is our favorite little joint when we want some killer tacos. We stumbled upon La Mulita one day on accident and it has easily become one of our go tos in the Broad Ripple area. Nestled right next to delicia, it is the adorable, quiet, low-key taco version. It has great tacos, good draught beers and amazing chips and Guac. The tacos come in orders of two, so if yore like my boyfriend you’ll be completely torn between two or four. I love their fish tacos and their house sauce(salsa) is delicious on top! We once tried the hot dog and it was also killer. The service is great and when I say it’s low-key, I mean it as there have never been more than a handful of guests at a time. We love these tacos. Definitely worth the try!

This place is plain cool. Who doesn’t love to eat tacos beneath string lights? For me, that’s always the goal and this place nails it. La Mulita is connected to Delicia(the Delicia sign is easier to see from the road) and they share a kitchen, as they are owned by the same company. La Mulita is the more«street food/casual» of the two. Let’s go back to the tacos. They were perfect. I’m very picky about my tacos, especially those with corn tortillas(they can get too chewy and consume the taco). However, the Cochinita Tacos were brilliant. I was there for a Unilocal party so this is not usually on the menu, however their other tacos include similar ingredients: achiote roasted pork, pickled onions, black beans, and avocado. I was blown away and I haven’t even told you that they have incredible guac yet. The staff here is also incredible. The owner, Nicole, Mohit the GM, Alejandro the server… So kind and accommodating!

Quite good. The young man tending bar was very knowledgable in Mezcal. Nothing beats a smokey cocktail. Ask for the Oaxacan campfire.

We had a great Saturday lunch(with margaritas!) at La Mulita. Arrived right at noon and there was only one other table, but when we left at 1:30 it was nearly full. Great, prompt, informative service by the bartender. They’re serving Saturday brunch items from 11 – 2 and we ordered from that menu. The chilaquiles verdes were exactly as advertised and my friend loved the biscuits and chorizo gravy skillet. Solid guacamole 27th really nice crispy chips to start the meal, fabulous churros to wrap things up. HIGHLY recommended Broad Ripple lunch option.

Everything worked! I had the Pork Milanese Cimita, because I had never heard of it before. Two sandwiches with a thin breaded tenderloin on a pretzelly roll, with a thin layer of egg, mild cheese and spicy Caribbean sauce. Incredibly good — complex flavors got better with each bite. Loved the industrial– chic décor, fast and friendly service, easy parking. Chose to watch soccer on one of the screens, good music in the background. Can’t wait to try their dinner/late night sister restaurant, Delicia, immediately next door.(And I wish I could have tried their specialty cocktails!) SO glad they are both part of Dining Out For Life on Thursday April 28!

We already knew we loved Delicia, but who knew they had such a cool little sister? Excellent tacos, the BEST guac, brunch on Saturday, and a stellar Bloody Mary or margarita. I couldn’t love this place more. Our favorite bartender is Will, who puts up with my chatty ways and is always on top of things!

Great food. Comfortable atmosphere. The tacos are great and they change up the flavors often. The taco that I think is going to be good is always good but the one that is usually my second choice based on its description is often my favorite. Also they may have the best sweet potatoes fries in Indy. Crispy, flavorful, just the right size and perfectly cooked. They lose one star because the lemonade is subpar and more fresh lime would be appreciated with the food.

I visited La Mulita last month with my book club ladies at the recommendation of one of our members. If you blink, you’ll miss it, even when Siri tells you«you have arrived». If I had read the Unilocal tips before going, I would have known it is attached to Delicia which is more visible from the street. Once I stepped inside this little restaurant, I found my friends at one of the picnic tables available toward the front of the restaurant. I loved the vibe of the restaurant right away. Simply decorated with brick walls, but definitely not a dive. My friends had already gotten chips and salsa(not free, but only $ 3) so I sampled theirs and ordered myself the guacamole and chips($ 5). The salsa was very good and very different from any salsa I had ever had. Smoky in flavor, evidently from roasted sun-dried tomatoes. The guacamole was a tad bit spicy for me, but I am one of those sensitive-tongued women with a very low tolerance for hot flavors. I still liked it and ate almost the whole order… in between gulps of water. I had read a few Unilocal reviews and decided to go with the Chilaquiles($ 7.50) which seemed to be a favorite. I didn’t know what Chilaquiles were, so I was excited to try something new. For $ 4 more you can add chicken(which I did) or steak, which one of the other ladies ordered. For another $ 1 they will put two fried eggs on top. Sounded perfectly strange to me and being in an adventurous mood, I decided to try it. I have to admit, those fried eggs were an amazing addition to this dish of what I would describe as «a different kind of nachos» and I absolutely loved it… for the first 5 minutes. After that, as I got to the middle of the nachos, they became soggy and not good at all. I thought maybe it was because of the egg yolk, but my friend said hers got soggy as well and she didn’t add egg to hers. Fortunately, I was full enough from the salsa, guacamole, chips and 5 minutes of my entrée that I didn’t leave hungry, but I definitely would’ve eaten more had they stayed crispy. This is the only reason I’m offering 4 stars rather than 5, and what may or may not keep me from going back. Other friends at our table ordered tacos. Two loved them, one wasn’t a fan, but we all agreed that service was outstanding and if it’s dishes like these that you like, it is a quick and affordable place to grab a meal.

Pisco!!! Ever since I visited the land of Pisco this summer(Peru), I had yet to experience a restaurant in the US offering a cocktail with this most delicious and exotic of spirits. Tonight’s special creation was the Pisco Punch Royale, and believe me, I took full advantage! I just hope to be able to sample some other amazing concoctions with Pisco in the future! I decided to partake in the chef’s special for the night, the Poblano Chicken, which was a sandwich with chicken, melty cheese, arugula, and cilantro on top! For me, it doesn’t get any better than cilantro, but the arugula just added that right bite of bitterness on top! My husband and I had to have 2 orders of guacamole! The heat comes courtesy of serrano peppers! I can’t really put into words how much I love guacamole, but this for me was bliss! Husband also had the pork tacos. He immediately recognized the menu as street food, and I really wish he’d share his opinions via Unilocal! La Mulita has a parking lot in front and back(very limited spaces) so plan to park on the street or elsewhere if you come during a busy time. I’m already planning to bring my sister here(who lives in Mexico!) during the Christmas season. I can’t wait to go back!

Holy Mole! That was good. Enjoyed a wonderful evening here as part of a Unilocal Elite event. Got to sample a wide variety of their food, and each dish was better than the next. The cocktail — created special for the event, I think — was fantastic(and I’m not usually a cocktail kind of guy…). The manager and staff are as attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly as could be. Basically, I consider the whole event an enticing appetizer for a much-anticipated main course: coming back for a full meal!

I just left a Unilocal Elite«Dia de los Muertos» themed party at La Mulita and am already planning when I can go back. Heads up, La Mulita; I will be asking for the custom Marigold Hotel cocktail every time I visit. Pure gold, that’s what that is. Great job partnering with Unilocal,La Mulita! What a great way to check out a new(to me) restaurant; cocktails, tapas, face paint, flowers, cake– the whole enchilada, if you will!

I always love coming in when Justin is battening. He’s definitely been a great staple for a log time along the bar tending community in Indy. His alcohol knowledge is vast and he’s always ready with a great recommendation. He’s also one of the best bartenders service wise, that I’ve come across.

Solid spot with very good and reasonably priced food. We got here pretty much right when they opened so it wasn’t busy which is always nice. Service was quick and with the prices we were able to try quite a few different things. To start we got chips and guac which was very fresh and a good way to start off our lunch. My wife and I followed that up by sharing and order of chilaquiles with eggs, on shrimp and one carne asada taco(2 for 7.50 if i remember correctly), and a Mexicano dog. All were excellent, the egg was a little too runny for my wife’s liking. The Mexicano dog my have been the highlight to be but it is extremely messy so be prepared to ask for lots of extra napkins. We finished off our meal with some churros & chocolate. These were very good but the chocolate is basically just a warm chocolate milk so just know that going in.

Do you like tacos? you’ll love these! I have only had the tacos, quac and salsa here but have been told the rest of the menu is delicious. This is the baby sister to Delicia so some of the menu items and drink list are shared between the two places. Recommendations! Tacos: Fish, Pork, Carne Esada and Shrimp. the tortillas and the toppings are fresh and pop with flavor.(all the tacose are great, these are just my favs) Guacamole: probably one of the best in the city and made fresh. besides the normal guac they add in fresh jalapenos and pistachios. its amazing! Salsa: nothing fancy just darn good salsa! Drinks: their margaritas are made with no store bough mix, they create it in house. not too sweet not too sour. there are a couple of other drinks that are from the Delicia menu like the fire and ice that are pretty great. The bar is small but they have a nice beer selection with some locals on tap. The place is small but quant and fun to dine at. I have been many of times and only once did we have an issue. It was slammed busy and the waitress that was working our section was horrible(not purposely just couldn’t keep up). A few tables left without ever getting anything ordered and our order got screwed up. All the other times i have had exceptional service and great food.

I finally had a chance to experience La Mulita and I’m glad I did. We arrived about eight minutes before they opened for their Sunday evening meal, which left us eagerly awaiting the unlocking of the doors. La Mulita occupies a small space and is kept tidy. We sat at the bar, which is crafted of sturdy concrete. The bartender was super nice and very helpful, suggesting drinks and meals we should try. I followed his suggestions and ordered the margarita, one of the cocktails they are known for, as well as one of their well-known dishes, the Chilaquiles. If I had to describe it in a word, «Wow!» I ordered mine topped with eggs and chorizo. The oozing egg yolks and the gooey cheese screams comfort food. The spiciness of the chorizo gives a needed kick, adds a flavor jolt, and makes the dish interesting. Furthermore, the margarita was delicious. The agave nectar and orange blossom provides a nice taste twist to the normal margarita, and what puts my joy over the top is the price. It was only $ 6.00! I had an excellent experience and don’t have one complaint. The food, atmosphere, service, and price are spectacular, therefore my rating is five stars. I can’t wait to return!

The folks at SoBro Café apparently decided to take an extended holiday vacation, so my friend and I opted for La Mulita instead — best fate-driven decision ever. Situated to the left of Delicia, this is a great little spot with a bar, variety of wooden tables for small groups, and some booth seating for a few pairs of couples in the back. Décor is a touch industrial, but unique and fun, with big string lights hanging across the ceiling. Bit more of an intimate atmosphere — nothing wild and crazy… or at least, not on a Wednesday night. Food-wise, my friend and I opted for a cocktail each(about $ 6 – 7 each), split an order of guac($ 5 — delicious!) and ordered our own cemitas(a.k.a. slider sandwiches). I ordered the veggie and I’m pretty sure I could live off these things — breaded eggplant as the«burger,» topped with roasted red peppers, cheese, and chipotle mayo on a bun(recommend removing the nob on the bun and eating that separate, btw). We also split an order of churros($ 3.50) and while good, I’d prefer a thicker, chocolate-ier sauce. This was more like dipping it in hot chocolate, which wasn’t quite substantial enough in the presence of all that fried doughy goodness! Overall, though, very pleased with the food. Service was fantastic — very attentive and helpful in explaining drinks, entrees, and portion sizes. Will definitely be returning — chilaquiles are calling my name!
