The products are cool, but you will have a hard time finding a more dishonest and unorganized staff. If you are local, maybe they are ok, but I would NOT buy from them by mail order. If you have any issues they are incredibly rude and won’t even stand behind policies made on their website. Just buy on discogs and avoid them!

Tons of fun in a little room and nice selection from other labels. They also have shows in their office for first friday that you should check out. Nice people who managed to find a way to make some money off music.

So came here with the hubby, Andrew D. who I graciously let post first review… I was definitely surprised by what this teen tiny shop has accomplished. First off. It looks like a really nice walk-in closet of the Murphy Center. I would say 5 people max and this place is packed. But that’s cool. It was just Andrew and I with the shop owners, and we were just looking at records and talking to them about what their label covers and some new stuff coming out this fall. They were super nice and you could tell they were dedicated to having a good product and getting to know the neighborhood. They had vinyl, cds, and cassettes(huh?) and of course the vinyl has a download because that’s how we do it in this century. I am definitely excited to see how Joyful Noise grows in our neighborhood and am very happy they can call this place home. I know I will be back in, probably with the hubby, to find new music and hoping for some more great service! Thanks!

New record store opened up in the Murphy building for local label Joyful Noise. They carry their own artists and I think some others as well. I definitely noticed something from Asthmatic Kitty. They had vinyl, cds and even cassettes. I’m not sure who’s buying the cassettes, but maybe they’re so lame they’re cool again? The vinyl seems to all come with a code to download a digital copy, which is the best of both worlds. It’s a tiny little location, but the staff was really friendly and hours are good. If you’re not familiar with any of their artists check out Kishi Bashi. He’s pretty awesome.
