Jockamo’s is flat-out one of the best pizza places in Indy, let alone the nation(I travel a reasonable amount for work… and stand by this. It’s not hyperbole). To be fair, they are(from what I understand) part of an excellent pizza lineage here. We eat exclusively at the bar — service is great, staff are very helpful and friendly. Solid wine selection and locally sourced beers. Prices are way reasonable. Favorites are the Cheese Louise, Baja(I have ask for«easy» on the fresh jalepenos — and I’m a spice lover — they don’t mess around with those), and Slaughterhouse Five for the meat-lovers out there. For something different, the Thai and the Bollywood are good choices, too. We haven’t really explored the sandwich menu too much — but I am a total pizza nerd. Thumb’s up, all around.

This place was not for us, it was just very average pizza that is easy to forget. I am surprised by all the good reviews. On a bright note, our server Ana was very nice, attentive and friendly. There has to be much better pizza in the area!

Let me start by saying that I am a pizza-O-Holic so I am very picky. With that being said this place is pretty good! I love the service and the atmosphere more than the food. We have had Vanessa both times we have been here and she is great! The other employees all just seem so relaxed and helpful! Both times I ordered a 10″ pizza and 3 breadsticks. First time pepperoni and onion. It was pretty good once I got used to the crust. And second time I order the Maui pizza which is ham, bacon, pineapple and onion! It was pretty freaking good! So overall the wife and I leave happy. She gets her sophisticated pinky in the air pizza, and I get a classic!

Loved this pizza place! I hear the one in Irvington has a totally different look but both are cute. The pizza was very different and extremely tasty. We came as a recommendation and It lived up to hype. We tried the cheese Louise and another specialty pizza loaded with meat. Sadly the one I forgot the name of was my favorite loaded with meat. Both were excellent. Staff was very professional and Helpful. We were happy to see they offered beer and wine and the selections wet spot on for food at good prices. Will definitely be back. Glad to see a great option in the area.

Pizza is great. Service was much better. Each time we go the staff shows improvement. Think they are over the opening jitters and should be clear sailing. I am not from Chicago so not a pizza know it all. For my money this is one if the best 3 – 4 pizza places in town. To all the people from Chicago who criticize Indy pizza just remember that deep dish is NOT pizza. It is Chicago trash! Jockamo’s is great pizza !!!

very good food. I loved starting with the health nut — extremely refreshing with a lot of crunch! veggies were very fresh. my creole pizza was good. it doesn’t normally come with cheese but our waitress suggested adding mozzarella. unfortunately, there was too much cheese to where that was almost all I could taste, but it was very good mozzarella! food came out quickly and piping hot! the breadsticks are on the basic side but still good. the house-made Parmesan dipping sauce was unlike anything I’ve ever had before but overall pretty tasty. there is a busser who is constantly filling drinks, taking away dirty plates, grabbing whatever you might need, etc. this was a nice addition! overall very satisfied with the kind staff, quick service, food taste/temp and price(most small pizzas start at $ 10 and come with 6 slices — very filling even though the crust is very thin).

The food at this particular establishment was second only to the service my wife and I received. We ordered a slaughterhouse five pizza, and when it came out the server mentioned that it was too dark and they had already started another pizza for us, free of charge. We did not ask for another pizza. Upon tasting the first pizza it was actually delicious and not burned at all. Our server and the hostess were very friendly. All in all it was a very good experience.

Super accommodating to the 12 of us(6 kids). Got a seat right way outside on a Sunday at 6pm. Pizza is awesome– tried baja, jockamo, & cheese Louise. Others had margarita, BBQ pork. & buffalo… also loved. Beer selection above average. Breadsticks are good, not great. Spin artichoke bread was great.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about Jockamos? Indy has a few great pizza spots so it’s hard to say which 1 is the best but I can’t argue with anyone who wants to put Jockamos on top. Living in Fishers going to the south side or Irvington locations have never been practical for me. Now with the Ft. Harrison location I can have all the Jockamos I want. Thx for the extra 10 pounds!

Great pizza to go! The Caprese pie was wonderful… sun dried tomato pesto and basil with a tasty cheese combo and with it on a thin crust, you can truly enjoy the toppings. We will definitely be ordering from here in the future when we are near the Fort.

We flew home to Indy late afternoon and hustled to our daughter and son-in-law’s house to babysit our grand baby. We called this new Jockamo location for delivery of pizza and stuffed peppadews. Though the menu has a wide range of both common and unique options, we are devotees of simple pizzas. The one topping daily special with breadsticks was right up our alley. Delivery was quick, food was hot, price was right, quality was great! I particularly liked the toothsome but not too chewy or messy cheesiness over a not too thick crust. Tomato topping was with very fresh tomato pieces. Peppadews stuffed with goat cheese was a nice change from spicier stuffed jalapeños. Ahh… the breadsticks! The breadsticks took us high to low to high. What does that mean??? HIGH: really tasty, soft and flavorful with a good tasting cheese dip. LOW: we got the breadstick that came with the peppers and we got one more instead of the three that were to be included with the pizza special. If they hadn’t been so good, we might not have cared. HIGH: Our call to question the delivery was met with truly excellent customer service delivered in a delightful manner. I’m a bit of a customer service fanatic since its been so important in my business over many years so this really ‘rang my bell’ so to speak. I strongly recommend this place and note that the customer service response to a human error salvaged a downgrade to ‘4’.

Way to step up your game, Lawrence! It could become a problem having a Jockamo’s 5 minutes away from my office… Love the breadsticks, gotta get the alfredo and spicy cheese. Kelly R. and I tried the Lasagna pizza and weren’t disappointed– cheesy, saucy, sausage-y? We were in an out in 40 minutes, so perfect for a weekday lunch.

Good food — Great service! Wednesday, dinner at six. We, grandparents accompanied by granddaughters, one a 26-year-old beer connoisseur-vegetarian and the other a 21-year-old teetotaler, found the menu offered food and drink to please each of us. The staff was gracious and considerate. We observed all to be well trained and engaged — even the busser was on it without being obtrusive. Why only four stars? Acoustics in the dining area. Friday, 8÷7÷2015, business lunch. $ 5 for a slice, salad and coke. No acoustics issue outside. Friday lunch gets a 5.

I’ve been to Jocamo’s twice now, and neither experience was particularly noteworthy. I tend to order pizzas that are very vegetable heavy, and they have a great selection for that. Service was slow, taking around 10 minutes to order, 20 minutes to get the beer we ordered, 40 minutes to get our pizza and right over an hour to pay(while we ate) and leave. Pizza was fresh with an excellent crust and arrived at the table extremely hot. Veggies were unseasoned though and both the pies I had were kind of bland. I didn’t love or hate the experience, but I probably won’t be back.

Nice addition to Lawrence Township. Perfect for a family pizza night. Friendly staff — very attentive. Inside or outside seating. Conveniently located on 56th street. Pizza is freshly made and all I can say is «cheese louise» yum!

Top notch pizza in Fort Ben. I love the large open air patio. Perfect place to go after a stroll in the park. We also got carry out for Friday’s at the Fort, which is right outside. This is what Lawrence needed. I will be a regular now for sure. Lovvvvve the creamy Parmesan dip and healthwich. Oh and buffalo chicken pizza. Not to mention they have a large selection of craft beer with awesome local draft choices. Thinking about renting the banquet room for my son’s birthday!!!

I’ve never figured out why, but Irvington feels really far. I’m an Eastsider, but there’s something about driving down to East Washington Street that feels like I’m giving birth to an urban yuppie. While I’ve always enjoyed Jockamo, the thought of venturing down to Irvington has always given me pregnant pause. Sorry, couldn’t resist. So, when this third location opened on the grounds of what used to be Ft. Ben I was excited. It’s an area I frequent and while it’s not actually that much closer to my Glendale area home it feels less like work and more like a pleasant jaunt to go there. For Fort Bennies a wee bit tired of the Culver’s experience, the sight of Jockamo is sort of like an oasis in the sand. What yuppie doesn’t want to have their craft pizza served up by pierced and tattooed hipsters? Jockamo, especially the original Irvington locale, is known as one of Indy’s top spots for pizza. There are those who swear that Jockamo is Indy’s best, but if you’ve been to Irvington then you already know their sobriety is questionable. Jockamo does serve up high quality craft pizza, terrific customer service, decent prices, and a winning atmosphere. This Fort Ben location sort of had the Giordano experience — way more popular than anyone expected or planned for resulting in a few customer service and atmospheric snafus. I opted to give them a month to work out the bugs before visiting and I’m glad I did. I pulled in during the early evening hours on the Friday that the Supreme Court had decided everyone could get married(poor suckers!). I was on my way to perform a wedding and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. They were about half full with plenty of staff ready for the Friday night crowd that would likely start in the next 1 – 2 hours. I was escorted to a comfortable four-top in a building that I instantly liked MUCH more than their Irvington locale. The free-standing building is freshly built — thus, it doesn’t have the usual Fort Ben accessibility issues. That said, a couple of the parking spots are not ADA compliant and that always leaves me asking«Why?» There are a couple of truly ADA compliant spots and, in fact, I saw at least one other customer in a wheelchair arrive before I left. They serve up the usual selection at all three locations including a wide variety of pizza options easily customized, a variety of appetizers, beer/wine, salads, sandwiches, a lunch special menu, and more. Vegetarians can easily get by here — My sense is that Vegans can, but I won’t swear to it. I wanted to try the pizza and ordered their smallest pizza option — a 10″ sausage, six pieces, along with my usual unsweetened iced tea. The entire bill came in at just over $ 10. My server, Totts, according to the receipt, was friendly and attentive without hovering. There seemed to be a customer service tag team going on as another male who seemed to be roaming the dining room and providing some service assistance. It seemed a bit much given the place wasn’t yet packed, but the service was good. I prefer focusing on one server — it’s a lot easier to build a relationship with that individual — and it is a relationship that helps you decide if you’ll be back. The pizza was good with ample toppings that felt generous but not decadent. The crust had some variety to it — I despise cookie-cutter pizza. This felt and tasted more authentic. This certainly wasn’t one of their gourmet options, but it made me happy. The iced tea was great and I was given one for the road! «Totts» was friendly with that sort of hipster vibe — the service was friendly, but not in the«y’all come back now» way. I felt welcome, but not necessarily encouraged to return. They dealt with the wheelchair well — removing an appropriate chair and not acting like I was an alien. I did watch them interact with a visually impaired customer and thought they were a bit clueless with how to provide appropriate service. This translates to «Don’t just throw menus down on the table and walk away from someone with a cane — it’s disrespectful and can easily lead to a mishap. Overall, I was happy. I’m thrilled with the décor of the new location. The pizza was very good, but I still am not willing to call it Indy’s best. However, when you add in customer service, atmosphere, and vibe this remains one of Indy’s best options for craft pizza.

I have to say that I wasn’t blown away with my first experience at Jockamo’s. I can only speak for the food and the carry out service because we picked up our order and didn’t dine in. I did notice that for a Sunday evening they seemed really busy and people were pouring in as we were leaving. I was with some family in Mccordsville and my husband and his brother were excited that this location was open so close to them. We decided to order dinner out since it was the night before we left for vacation. We settled on the Lazyboy for the guys and the gals wanted something lighter so we got the So-Cal. We also ordered some of the bread sticks. Placing the order was easy and it was ready when we arrived so all gold stars so far for service. The So-Cal was good but I felt like the goat cheese was slightly overpowering so that was all I could really taste. I did try a small piece of the Lazyboy and enjoyed it a lot more. The bread sticks were nothing to write home about. They didn’t have a lot of flavor to them at all and that seemed to be the general review for them from everyone else. I would like to go back and dine in, perhaps choose some different pies because their menu has quite a few unique pizzas on it and see if my mind is changed. Right now it’s just ok.

So excited to have one nearby. Friendly staff, excellent pizza, and didn’t take too long at all. They support a ton of local businesses(breweries, bakeries, other restaurants) and have the most diverse pizza selection I’ve ever seen. Everything tasted amazing and it wasn’t too pricey at all. We’ll be back quite often!

The newest Jockamo location in historic Ft. Ben for a total of three now. We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2 and everything was spot on. The location is in a new large building with plenty of tables and a bar area with tvs, all on sports. We left around 5 and all of the tables were filled up at that point. Our server was friendly and quick. We had the Heidi Hernandez pizza and it was delicious! A 12 inch was enough for the two of us, along with the order of 5 breadsticks and a few local draft beers. They offer a nice local beer selection and I noticed an extensive wine list on the menu. You can get a 14 or 16 inch half and half pizza, at no extra charge. I only wished I had taken pics to share with this review but we were so excited for this location(and so hungry) that it escaped my mind. Thanks for the new location!
