Everytime I’ve been here there’s at least one rude staff person. This last time was exceedingly rude. We found a staff person to help us find a pattern we couldn’t for the life of us find. She glared at us and said, «I can’t help you find it. I don’t have time. Check in the patterns bin», as if we were dumb and didn’t look there, «we don’t get some brands in.»
Why bother having a book out if there’s no pattern according? Let alone, there was no need to be condescending and rude.

After finding my parking spot, and walking into the store, I found myself in awe of how many shelves and racks, and rows there were nestled into this building! So, I started my journey around this massive place soon to find my first purchase. Moments later, an item came to my mind and I did not know where to find it in the store.
Aimlessly I walked around aisle after aisle trying to find a sales person to help me with my predicament. To my dismay, there were no sales people on the floor to help me find My missing product. 15 minutes later and lots of searching complete I finally found my item (no thanks to the staff there).
When I was ready to check out, the cashier made up for my search. She was very polite, had a smile across her face and made me feel great to be shopping at Jo-​Ann Fabrics. If only they had more people like her on the sales floor to point customers in the correct direction, this store would be perfect.
Overall, very satisfied with my purchase and time spent wandering! :)

I love JoAnn Fabrics. They have a large selection of products. They have craft classes, etc. I gave them a 3 starts because I asked two people for help in store that work there and they were not very helpful or friendly.

I am pretty picky when it comes to patterns and designs on my fabric. I have yet to find a design that looks designer enough for curtains and throw pillows in my home. But I have completed all sorts of other projects with fabric selections. Thier fleece collection is great by the way. The people working there are very helpful too. The frequent coupons i get in the mail are great and if you download the JoAnn smart phone app you can always have the coupons with you as the coupons are posted on the app and scannable by the cashier.

After the remodel customers have mixed feelings. The store really did not shrink, it shifted to the west into the stock room. Very little inventory was lost. Mostly outdated items. There are more scrapbook, jewelry, and specialty fabrics then before. The class room is much nicer. Class projects are in the room but schedules are easy to find by the service desk. Bathrooms are checked more than once a day. It would surprise you what discussing people do in there especially the women’s room. You wouldn’t think hitting the toilet would be that difficult.
Due to the state of the economy they are being cut on hours so it is hard to find employees on the sales floor. The cutting counter is always busy. Don’t give the cutters a hard time… it is a thankless job sometimes working in retail.
The new expanded store will be open soon at 86^th and Ditch.

After the remodel the store doesn’t have some of the great features other locations have. Class projects are now posted in the classroom near the restrooms. If you are not aware of this, how do you know which classes you are interested in taking? The instructors are awesome, i have heard great things. The restrooms are terrible, it seems they are only cleaned and stocked once a day. The employees seem knowledgeable.

Unfortunately they have downsized and so has their fabric selection.
