Nice neighborhood, great patio, pool tables, free popcorn and plenty of televisions for sports watching. Fun people and staff.

Have it a second chance. …same thing happened. See sat outside for 15 minutes, never waited on again. Last time.

Stopped in for dinner and drinks, asked if I wanted a menu, I said sure and it never came. The bartender was obviously too busy with the regulars. I finished my beer and went to find some dinner. Short review, poor service, decent beer selection.

Late night bar hopping, was ok, nice, friendly service, clean. Free popcorn! That always helps when drinking! There looked to be a dance floor area with juke box for music venue. Doesn’t help some idiots wanted to start a fight with other idiots. Will try again some other time tho!

I might have ended up here a time or two. Seems to be a pleasant place to enjoy a beer, shoot some pool, enjoy the nice patio area. Haven’t had any milestone happenings here, but certainly haven’t had anything to complain about either.

Pros: plenty of Tvs, comfortable, free popcorn, 100 ounces of beer for $ 12 Cons: the bar counter smells like pennies

Jake’s is a typical neighborhood bar. I ventured in once in a while only because it’s conveniently located to my house. Inside, one will find things somewhat dark and smoky with some pool tables in the back. The food is typical American pub fare, but no dish is truly remarkable. The service is adequate, and the patrons are the usual working-man and friends catching a game on the TV. If the juke box is on, then it’s probably playing Nickelback or a country song. Parking can be an issue on the weekend and during sports games. Basically, if you’re in the area and don’t feel like going to Broad Ripple or downtown then stop by.

In a few words: Jake’s. A bar. Sports theme. Smoking allowed. Good daily beer specials. Decent pub grub. Exceptional pizza. Great wings. Nice employees. Spotty service. Pretty nice outdoor patio. And, close to my house.

Neighborhood bar, with lots of seating. They have patio seating in the summer. Can’t complain about anything here; cold beer and quick service. what more could you want?

Well, it’s…ok, I guess. It was packed when I was here, but I felt a bit young for the crowd. Most people looked more in the 40s range than the 20s. There was a somewhat generic band playing – nothing particularly memorable. I wasn’t too impressed with our jalapeño poppers, either. Our drinks were fine, but they were just Blue Moons or something. In short, there isn’t a whole lot to be said about this bar, but then again, there isn’t a whole lot to do on the South side, period. If you’re on the bottom end of town and feel like drinking out, I guess you could do worse than Jake’s.
