I craved a French Silk Blizzard from the Dairy Queen at the mall(Circle Centre), but the DQ/Orange Julius must have relocated or gone out of business, and I found this in its place(or in the same general location of the mall, at least) First impressions: Yet another self-serve frozen yogurt place. *sigh* When will this trend, like the tapas trend, the overpriced specialty cupcake trend, and the overrated local microbrewery trend, die? Like so many other«froyo» places, the décor is minimal/non-existent: Think harsh fluorescent lights, white walls, white flooring, some soft-serve machines, a condensed toppings bar, and a scale/register. There were also a couple of tables, but they blended into the blah whiteness of everything else. Very basic, sterile, and unwelcoming, like all froyo places tend to be. There was a decent variety of flavors(probably about four to five machines, meaning 8 – 10 different flavors, not including swirls) even though it was a relatively small storefront. The toppings bar had a decent variety of things given that it’s a small mall store, but nowhere near as much as the other area froyo places. Giving it three stars(«A-OK») because it was clean, the yogurt was the right temperature and consistency, and the pricing was on par with its competitors. My suggestions to the owner would be to expand the selection of toppings, and give the store a little more character and personality.
