The doctor was able to see me the same day I called! They have convenient hours and the doctor seems friendly and willing to work with you.
Most of the clients are walk-​in, which makes it convenient if you don’t know when you’ll have time to visit. I went in the afternoon around 4:00 and there were only two other patients who arrived during the 20 minutes I was there, so don’t let the walk-​in factor scare you away. The doctor recommended that the first visit be by appointment, but even that was not a necessity.
I LOVED that this place doesn’t try to talk you into a plan. Every other chiropractor I’ve been to has «strongly recommended» a (usually expensive) series of appointments over several weeks/​months… The doctor here did nothing of the sort, just let me know when his hours were and said to come back when I thought I needed another alignment.
The initial appointment cost $ 69 and consisted of some stretch tests, discussion of pain/​symptoms, an alignment, (done both on a drop-​table and standing up) and electrode therapy. No x-​rays were taken.
Note: this doctor is an old-​fashioned chiropractor and uses the «cracking» method for alignments. He was gentler than most other doctors I’ve been to who use the «cracking» method, but there was still some popping noises, accompanied by immediate pain relief in my case.
This clinic takes most insurances, but if you’re paying cash… after the first ($ 69) visit, each alignment and electrode therapy session is $ 30. They also offer massage. Overall, Helping Hands clinic is just what I need — a place that has no annoying sales tactics, provides quick pain relief, and is fairly inexpensive.

During a rough stay in a local hotel in an uncomfortable bed, I had an awful crick in my neck. I called in the evening around closing, but Dr. Scott said he could gladly get in the office early in the morning to take care of my neck issue. He arrived exactly when he said he would be there, and was pleased with the relief I had in the 20 minutes I was there, which allowed me to avoid delaying my work schedule throughout the day. Hopefully, I no longer have issues with junky hotel beds, but if I’m in Indy, I know I have a chiropractor I would return to without hesitation and would highly recommend.
