The food was the best the services HORRIBLE. Our waitress took a long time to take our order and she took at least 30 minutes to come back with our food. When she finally did come back she had forgot who had what. The food had no dipping sauce or anything we had to wait for her to come back which took another 15 minutes before we got any sauces. Not good!

Great find at the airport. I sat down and ordered the shrimp cocktail and the local IPA. I was was amazed by the shrimp. Cooked perfectly with a nasal clearing cocktail sauce that was more pink than red. Best I ever had. By the way, I grew up in New England and live in NY and the BEST shrimp cocktail is at the IND airport! I was in and out in 15 mins thanks to the great service. I will leave more time next time to try other items as well as another shrimp cocktail. It really is that great.

We were at the airport early and wanted to get some lunch before we got on our flights. We walked around and found Harry and Izzy’s. We had eaten at 1933, which is part of their restaurant group. So we figured it had to be good. I had a prime rib dip, and my wife had another sandwich. Both were excellent! David was our waiter, and was fantastic!

Had izzy’s steak. It was OK. Should have picked regular NY strip instead of their special. my mistake.I feel it’s a bit pricey. in my opinion.

If you don’t stop in and order a shrimp cocktail, you’re missing one of the best airport dining experiences in the U.S. Usually order the filet and green beans. Just wish the steak was seared with a nice herb butter to put it over the top. Service is always friendly, and don’t mind spending time at this stop.

I always have to have some food & a beverage before I leave the airport. The options here are too good. My most recent visit was no exception! I had the Indy(their version of the Cosmo, I believe) and a tenderloin. The tenderloin was really on point! I love my tenderloins, and I have to say that sometimes humongous, pounded out, paper thin versions have their place, but this one was normal sized. I can eat one with a ton of toppings or without, and this one happened to have a ton of toppings. It was thick and juicy. Oh so good. I sometimes will sit at the bar if there’s room(usually pretty full), but I like the view of the gates while sitting there. They seem to have removed some extra bar space that they had around the edges of the area, but I don’t know if that was temporary or if they just wanted the extra space. I would not hesitate to return next time I fly out!

Food — okay. The prime rib sandwich was delicious but a sloppy mess with juices. Not sure what the au jus sauce was for. Service — disappointing and terrible. First, the pictured receipts, which I’ll add, show that I wasn’t even charged for what I ordered! This’ll be fun trying to expense alcohol, which my company prohibits. And, no, I didn’t have time to carefully review the electronic receipt; I was going to be late for boarding after waiting 15 minutes to pay! I had to wait that long because, as my server noted, she and the other servers were swooning over the latest Bachelor that had just dropped in! Glad to know who’s important at this restaurant! I won’t be returning.

Not on point today. Sat at bar with an empty seat on each side. Was never acknowledged. A couple of guys walk in looking to sit together so I offer to move over. As soon as they sit down, they were greeted, offered menus and their drink order taken. Still not being seen, I get up and another guy sitting at the bar said, «I’d walk out too.» It was a good thing I ate at H&I Downtown earlier in the week. Great service and great food, go downtown to enjoy your meal.

I’m sorry, but my impression of this place is not even slightly positive. I just paid $ 43.00 for a tough piece of grainy, flavorless gristle they call a Ribeye. My wife suffered through a dry, overcooked piece of Salmon and a very ordinary $ 12.00 house salad. No thank you. I’ll stay home next time. Their«famous» shrimp cocktail in no way justifies the ridiculous $ 17.95 price tag.

I had a few extra hours to spend in the Indy airport after multiple flight delays for ‘maintenance issues’ and got in touch with a local friend who specifically recommended to spend some time at Harry and Izzy’s in the airport to eat. As someone who tries to ‘eat like the locals’, I had to check it out. I can’t compare to any brick and mortar location, but for an airport dining menu there were plenty of options to choose from. I was eating alone and wanted to try to famous Shrimp cocktail, so the Izzy plate gave me the opportunity to try the shrimp(AND sauce!) while still getting some other forms of sustenance. The shrimp cocktail alone is 5 jumbo shrimp and $ 18, while the Izzy combo plate has 3 shrimps, a small salad, and two sliders. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for one person. Definitely filling. The cocktail sauce was VERY good. It has fresh horseradish in it which gave it a fresh taste. Definitely burns and clears your sinus’. The salad and sliders came out together. The sliders are just that, smaller than the size of your palm, but constructed perfectly. The filet was very flavorful and to the perfect consistency, and the chicken was not too oily(even though it was fried). The service was awesome. My water never hit empty, the food came out hot and quick, and the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. There are enough TVs to sit and watch if you are alone and interested in watching the news or a game. Even if you had 30 – 40 minutes to eat you’d have enough time. I didn’t say I had to get out of there quick(because I was delayed :-/) but I was still in and out in less than 40 minutes. Perfect for an airport meal.

So. First time in Indy. First time in this airport Tried this place out because St Elmo’s in the city. No apps but I ordered the Prime Rib sandwich and it was great. I couldn’t tell you if I liked the au jus or the horseradish spread more. Serving size was really good. Had ordered the mixed veggies instead of the fries and they were quite tasty(not healthy by any means. Covered in oil) Highly recommend the sandwich. Only reason for 4 stars was because it’s in an airport with limited access. Also tried the steak burger sandwich. It could have been much better if it was cooked to order.(Looked like a hockey puck patty). Still well put together sandwich if prepared to order.

DUUUDE — they totally nail the fillet mignon sliders and the shrimp cocktails — other than that just ignore the rest of the menu. I don’t even understand what I was thinking when we ordered a pizza, it was like a Tostinos five buck«pizza». Food: fillet mignon sliders and shrimp cocktails 5⁄5. everything else DOESNOTMATTER Service: 4⁄5 Location; 4⁄5

Always get the Izzy Platter. Sliders are always great no bad choice, but the filet is the best of them all. Fast Serivce. Keep your drink filled if you are eating the legendary cocktail sauce as it has a kick like no other!

How can you beat great local restaurant food at the airport?! I walked by Harry & Izzy’s in downtown Indy yesterday, but didn’t have a chance to try; only to find out that the same food is served at the airport! Thank you, Lord! I sat at the bar by myself, the wonderful bartenders, Kathleen & Tanita, helped me with food and wine selection. Friendly and fast(important for airport restaurant). These ladies KNOW what they’re talking about! If you’re like me, who enjoys local cuisine but didn’t have a chance to try, this is your spot! Shrimp Cocktail is a must try(I CAN handle spicy food, but horseradish is a whoooole different ball game!). Kathleen(she’s AWESOME!) said it’s exactly the same as in the restaurant in downtown! This is probably the best airport food I’ve ever had(and I travel a lot!)

Best airport food ever! It’s a meal and not a crappy one. Staff on this visit was a little slow to get beverages out. You can get the full experience here if you can’t visit one of the main locations. It’s a perfect lunch on your way out of town. Filet/Meatball sliders at $ 5 each. Hits the spot.

The only place to eat at the Indianapolis airport. I love the filet sliders, rare, and a 3 piece shrimp cocktail. Gotta love that cocktail sauce. Servers tend to hate their lives and display their misery proudly… minus one friendly bartender that always has her hair styled in a funky way. Quick in and out and quality food which is a standard far above typical airport fare. Two very spicy cocktail sauce covered thumbs up!

There is no better food in the Indy Airport. None. When flying out I almost wish my flight has a last minute delay so I can get a glass of wine and eat filet sliders. They even have a breakfast menu now which includes the aforementioned filet slider with an egg on it. What more could you possible want in an airport? It’s located in the often less trafficked Terminal A(which is accessible via a long walk from Terminal B). If you have time to spare or feel your stomach rumbling treat yourself.

I had the Garbage Salad $ 14 Ok i really am starting to think that salad needs to be served cold and also on a chilled plate Take crisp romaine lettuce, a secret house dressing, artichokes, cheese strips, carrot slivers, capicollo chunks, salami chunks and some huge shrimps It was delicious and i cannot wait to try it again in June In the meantime i reverse engineered this so will be enjoying this rockstar salad at home This is my second best airport food dish The first is Salt Lick BBQ at Austin Airport

You are at the airport wondering what kind of crap food you will be able to find? Hello Harry and Izzy’s! This is a fantastic restaurant in the airport! The wine and beer list is great if you just have time for a drink. The best value… Yes, I said value in an airport restaurant is the Izzy plate. 3 shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, and 2 sliders. I of course have the filet sliders… All for $ 22! The filet is tender and flavorful. The shrimp will clear your sinuses as H & I believes in horseradish and A LOT of it! Now the wine of my choice is pretty close to the cost of the meal, but HEY a girl has gotta do what a girl must do! Lol! The salad menu is great! Caesar and the Wedge are my favs. The BBQ chicken pizza is also very tasty! Thank you for giving airport restaurants a good name!
