Hardee’s

Even for a Hardee’s, this one is pretty bad. The wait was really long despite the restaurant being pretty empty. The restaurant itself felt grungy and unclean. The employees are really nice, though!

This afternoon/​evening they were (still are) completely out of ice. No mention of when they might have some, nor was any accommodation offered to any customer. In fact as I readied to place my order at the counter, I asked «so, you’re out of ice ?» After she nodded her head (nothing more) and I gave her my order anyway she asked me if I wanted to upsize my drink. Politely, I replied no. And after being here 90 minutes their WiFi still is not working. Arrrrrgh.

This is my go-​to Hardee’s location nearest my apartment. It’s also the first location that I’ve gotten to try the Red Burrito portion of the franchise merger. The mixture is interesting, and might seem like it doesn’t fit well, but both kinds of food are delicious. If you’re adventurous, mix and match your burgers and burritos!
I’ve always thought Hardee’s burgers are one of the best fast food burgers. They are charbroiled and taste more flavorful than McDonald’s. I’m a disgustingly huge fan of their one-​dollar spicy chicken sandwiches. I could eat them all day. The Memphis BBQ thick burger is also very good, but a tad bit expensive for a fast food chain. Anything Frisco is a must, and will most likely not let you down. Red Burrito options are great, too. The tacos and burritos are wonderful and healthy priced, and are unique in the way that the shells are white and different from places like Taco Bell. I’d also recommend the big nacho platter as well as the fish tacos. Grab some delicious ice cream for dessert! Milkshakes and cones are wonderful.

Have tried multiple Red Burrito items from this location. So good, especially for the price. If you are looking for something better than Taco Bell, but not as expensive as Qdoba, this is the place!
