I went with my best friend and we had a great time making the glass fused jewelry. There were a lot of examples to get the creative juices flowing and great hands-​on instruction. I was really pleased with how the pendants that I made turned out.
The location was beautiful and clean and the staff was great.

I’ve been coming here for a few years, since it was on Broad Ripple Avenue. It’s so soothing and fun, and there are so many materials. Yesterday I tried a new technique, and the employee (maybe the owner? her name is Christen) gave me tips on how to do it well. We’ll see how it turns out once it’s glazed and fired, but I was pretty pleased with it for my first time.
There are a lot of families and small parties here, but it’s normal to come in alone or with just one friend. Everything is set up with lots of explanations and suggestions. I wish some of the pieces were a bit cheaper, but considering all the materials you can use to decorate them, it’s understandable. Definitely check it out. You might get into a new hobby.

Went here to take advantage of a Living Social deal to make glass fused jewelry — it’s a deal where you make five glass pendants and they fire them in the kiln and provide you with the final product two weeks later.
The place has a bunch of different items on display, including pottery and crafts ranging from the decorative (glass ornaments, jewelry, etc.) to the practical (plates and dishes, glassware, stoneware, etc.) There are a variety of crafting options and different deals and promotions available through their website.
I was helped directly by the owner, a local whose husband also owns a business in the area. Really friendly and helpful, especially for someone who’s never worked with glass before! The store used to be on Broad Ripple Ave, but now are located near Fire by the Monon. They have their own dedicated parking (four spots in front and more in back).

My daughter celebrated her birthday with a party at Half Baked. I brought in cupcakes for the party and everyone got to pick out something to paint and have fired. The kids enjoyed themselves and were able to pick up their creation to take home. I would highly recommend this as a fun alternative to a loud ‘party’ location.

For the first potter painter, the prices may seem a little expensive, but the employees there are really helpful! They have a sale section too for slightly dented or scratched goods so it makes the experience cheaper and really therapeutic: D

I have been here twice for glass fusing projects. Both times I have really enjoyed myself. They have lots of glass to choose from and you get your finished item in about two weeks. This place is not just for kids.

I always have an amazing time at Half Baled Pottery. Christen and the staff are very knowledgable and friendly. My whole family came today and painted coffee mugs, a wine glass and serving trays. Can’t wait to pick up the finished products!

I love this place!!! Always my go to for handmade gifts! There are great samples and wonderful, creative people to help! The new location is fantastic! Much better parking!

Are you a creative person? This is the place for you! Let your creative juices flow and create a one of a kind piece all your own. First, choose your canvas anything from a plain coffee cup to a unique dragon sculpture. Next, you will choose paint colors, stencils, stamps, sponges, etc. then on to the creation stations which are two well appointed tables for you to sit and create for as long as you wish. The lovely staff will check in with you from time to time to see if you need anything. Last but not least you leave your masterpiece in their capable hands to be fired you return in a week to pick it up.
Would be a fun girls night out, birthday party or tiny human creative outing.
