Food was awesome and the services was great. I had a club and my guest had the fish and both of us were extremely happy. We also started with the fried green tomatoes and they were some of the best I’ve ever had.

Nice sized menu, but food is just mediocre and service has been slow all three times we have been there. It’s the only sit down place in the immediate area which, I think, is the only reason it is still in business.

Awful customer service. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The place was fairly busy so I didn’t think much after the first few minutes of not being acknowledged. 10 minutes pass… nobody has even glanced our way or stopped by for a drink order. 15 minutes… nope, nothing. 20 minutes… not a single waitress or waiter has acknowledged us. We got up and left. The host stated«thanks for coming… have a good night». I chuckled and walked out. Will never be back.

This was my first time coming to this location but I have been to the other location in the speedway plaza a few times. I always order the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the breaded tenderloin as the entrée every single time because they both soooo good. However this particular time my review has nothing to do with the food. The service My family and I received from our waitress, TANEIKA was superb!!! She was excellent and very attentive us during our entire meal. The service we received from TANEIKA is very hard to come by and sadly doesn’t happen that often. She was awesome and needs to be commended.

We stopped by on a Sunday evening. There were only about 4 tables of people but it was the slowest service. Half the employees were sitting in booths not caring about customers at all. Bad experience. The food was so-so.

just stopped by for a drink and a quick snack… had the appetizer sampler, which was delicious… and a Grindstone Punch which did pack a punch.

Slow. And not worth the wait. The menu looks good but the food doesn’t come close to the descriptions. I ordered a turkey Reuben, which has to be one of the easiest sandwiches to get right, and it was dry and almost tasteless. I ordered the kids chicken tenders for my grandson and they served 2 chicken strips that looked like leftovers. He took one bite and refused to eat them. Too bad as the place looks cool. But it looks like they don’t care.

well we went here last night(friday April 25th) for the first time. We had gotten a magazine in the mail that had them in it as we had never heard of them before, so i checked out their website and they had several things that looked and sounded good so we decided to give them a try, we joined their email club and got a free appetizer up to $ 8 with the purchase of two entrees. So when we get there the guy seated us promptly and turned out he was our server too. The only negative thing i have to say about our dining experience would be the service. not so much the lack of service but the way it was presented. we were rushed through our entire meal, he was not friendly at all and seemed preoccupied and we were his only table so it wasnt like he was stresed or something. we told him it was our first time there and that was his opportunity to shine and really push his restaurant and items that he thought were great. well that never happened. i had to ask him what was good and what he recommended and then he still wasnt really engaged. I watched the other servers and they all seemed really bubbly and friendly so i guess it was just our lucky day. anyway back to the food, we ordered the potato skins and i can tell you i almost never do that because of the way places make them these days, i will NOT eat them if they are microwaved or they are yesterdays baked potatoes and trust me i can tell the first bite. these were really good and they had good flavor. I had the drunken chicken and i usually wont order grilled foods as i am a true southerner and fully enjoy all the goodness that fried foods bring. but i ordered this dish and i was not disappointed. its a large grilled chicken breast with their sauce on it that was pretty good then smothered with cheese, green onions and bacon. the bacon was really good. not your typical cheap kind that most places are serving these days so i liked that because i am a bacon fan! i was able to pick my two sides so i opted for mac n cheese, another item i just never order out because it is usually dry, flavorless and disappointing but again they did a great job and it was really creamy just how i like it. Chili was my other side, it was take it or leave it, not sure if i would order that again but anytime someone says they have something homemade im always up for trying it being a good southerner. the bed of rice the chicken came on was kinda dry but that was a garnish really so i did not eat it. they had SWEETTEA people and it was actually great. very few places up north can make sweet tea. not sure why its a no brainer but they cant. the other person in my party had the 3 cheese chicken pene pasta. he added extra sauce in which they charged 50 cents for no big deal, even though the server never mentioned that. he said it was really good as well. they have a really inexpensive lunch menu monday thru friday and we definitely plan on checking that out. make sure you sign up for their emails and get your free appetizer.

Me and my daughter ate here several times over the summer and me being a tenderloin lover the first two visits were great. Well I had a coupon from NUVO magazine for buy a tenderloin get one half off. Headed there this past Saturday ordered carry-out two sandwiches them this time were very fatty content you are unable to chew grizzle like(yuck) not as good as before and both were very salty. I could not even eat the sandwich took only two bites.

Me and 3 of my friends went here for lunch on saturday, we are visiting Indianapolis from Houston and we figured we’d give this place a try based on the Unilocal reviews… and they were right. I had the potato soup and their famous breaded pork sandwhich my friends had the fish sandwhich and liked it as well. The food as 4 stars but the service was 5 stars, we had a great server who recommended a local micro brew beer and went above and beyond for our service and was really nice(I think her name was Theresa). Not to mention she told us since we were staying at a hotel we get 15% off. Next time I come to Indianapolis I plan on coming back.

It’s okay. The food was mediocre, but the service was friendly. Best part of our dinner was the fried dill pickle appetizer. Probably wont be back.

We’ve been coming here since first week they opened. Food is consistent on average and service can be hit or miss but mostly hit lately. Love spinach patch salad, husband likes grilled tenderloin and prime rib and fried pickles are good. Sun king beer on tap. Negative, why get rid of the Reuben? Bar area is for over 21 crowd.

Best tenderloin sandwich. Wouldn’t suggest the slaw though. Good service
