One of the better goodwill stores I have gone too. Everything was organized and looked clean on the shelves. The man that cashed me out was very friendly and I always get s good deal. My favorite location.

This is one of the worst Goodwill’s around. Dirty. Not very nice items inside. I go to alot of Goodwill’s and this one I would not go back to.

If you’ve followed my reviews for any length of time, then you already know that I have this sort of love/hate relationship with the Goodwill stores. There are locations that I’ve been quite vocal about absolutely despising(I’m looking at you, Keystone), but then there are locations where you get the feeling that the Goodwill mission is alive and well. This Sunnyside location just off Pendleton Pike is one such location. Located in a free-standing building fairly adjacent to the Wal-Mart, this location tends to have friendlier staff, better, organization, and more accurate sizing than I’ve found in many of the Goodwill locations. Since my swearing off of the Keystone location, despite the fact it’s actually closer to my home, this location has become my «go to» location for Goodwill shopping. Today, Memorial Day, I just happened to have a $ 5 off $ 25 purchase coupon as one of their rewards members and headed out to pick up some clothing. Goodwill has several accessible and ADA compliant parking spots, a couple of nicely made curb cuts, and automatic doors. Once inside, the aisles are pretty decent for a wheelchair but can get pretty crowded during their monthly 50% off sale the first Saturday of the month. This location definitely has friendlier staff, but they also seem to get friendlier customers. While it can certainly get stressful during sale times, this one’s not so over the top stressful that you find yourself regretting the visit. I also find this location to be more wheelchair friendly than many Goodwills, which you would think would be a given considering the entire organization is wrapped around serving individuals with disabilities. However, trust me, there are some locations where you’re pretty sure the job coaches are less competent than the people who are working. That’s not the case here. Goodwill isn’t a flawless shopping experience. The stores still tend to be chaotic, clothing is frequently located in incorrect places, and getting help in a Goodwill is pretty much a shot in the dark. However, if we’re being honest very few«thrift store» shopping experiences are top of the line in terms of customer service. This store is clean, the staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the neighborhood feels safe. Yep. That’s enough.
