My company just moved to the Irvington area. My darling husband has also finally decided I’m worthy of getting flowers regularly, so it’s a win-​win. Also, co-​workers are SUPER jelly!
I’m not sure what prompted him to use George Thomas, but the arrangements are always interesting and gorgeous! Very creative and unique.
I should think to take more pictures of them and I will from now on. The last two arrangements I received have been the most breathtaking, but I didn’t take a picture. Unilocal fail.

They did my flowers for my wedding. They were so beautiful and perfect! They are reasonably priced and will take great care of you during the whole process. I would recommend them to everyone for day to day flowers or special occasions!

It had been many years since I used George Thomas Florist. My previous visit was at their old location at 10^th and Shadeland. My sister suddenly passed away recently and when we needed flowers, George Thomas came to mind immediately.
With all of the chaos and grief, I did not order my sister’s flowers until the day before her funeral, but George Thomas made it happen. I first looked at their website the night before I called and placed my order over the phone with Becca.
I chose the Fireside red and white roses arrangement. It could be upgraded, but I went with the standard and was not disappointed. Just as she described, it was very full and beautiful. I came in under budget and did not feel pressured at all to spend more than I was comfortable. Compared to some other places, I felt I received a very good price. I am not so sure I would have gotten as nice of an arrangement at some other places, even if it had cost more.
My order was taken in a prompt and professional manner. I almost couldn’t believe how effortless it was and was grateful that it was something I could check off my list. That gave me a big sigh of relief. I also received an email receipt right away, as well as a confirmation of my order and delivery. My sister’s flowers arrived when asked and were a beautiful tribute to her. I know she would love them. I would definitely use George Thomas again the next time I need flowers and I highly recommend this Irvington gem.

I had a wedding consultation at GTF yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by their awesome prices. The woman that I met with was very easy to talk to and I felt like she really understood my vision for the wedding. I am very much looking forward to working with them!

For our one year anniversary I wanted to recreate my wife’s bouquet from our wedding day as a gift. I went to George Thomas Florist a few weeks before the date and asked if they could make that happen. They were very friendly and helpful (as always), asked if I could send them a picture and that was it. When I went to pick them up they’d used the picture to not only match the flowers, but to arrange them as close to possible to the original bouquet down to flower positioning. My wife cried.
Also worth checking out is their happy hour. They do half priced stems every weekday starting at 4:30. I’ll stop by once a month or so and ask them to create a $ 20 bouquet for me and they always do a fantastic job (and they always stay under the price I set).
This is one of those stores that you go to and you’re happy to spend money there because everyone’s so pleasant and they all clearly care about doing a good job and making you happy.

George Thomas Florist is really easy and fun to work with. We had a specific budget to stick to for our June 2014 wedding, and GTF listened to our ideas and worked with us wonderfully!
We ordered 2 gorgeous altarpieces, boutineers, corsages, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, a cake topper, and baby’s breath for our reception. GTF let us rent their glass vases, and were relaxed about returning these items after the wedding.

I love George Thomas! I have been ordering flowers from them for years and have never been disappointed. My loved ones are always pleased with the beautiful arrangements. George Thomas handled the flowers for our wedding, and we were really pleased with the experience. I’m not very knowledgeable about flowers, and they did not get a very big portion of our wedding budget, but Melissa was able to create bouquets for my bridesmaids and me for a very reasonable price. I explained what colors I liked and that I wanted a blend of flowers and things that looked more like foliage, and I trusted her to choose what would look best. She showed me lots of choices and the end result was beautiful.
Then, closer to our wedding, we decided that we wanted some greenery near the altar for our wedding. They suggested peace lilies, which they rented to us for a lower price. One of the florists had been to our venue before, so he was able to make suggestions on how to arrange them (and they looked great).
All in all, this was a great experience, especially for someone like me who isn’t really into flowers. We live in Irvington, so we’re always happy to support a local business. We’ll be back for the loose stem happy hours!

I’m sentimental about George Thomas, since they’ve been around since I lived in Indianapolis over 25 years ago.
The flowers are always fresh and delivery is always as promised. My friends and relatives are never disappointed, which is saying something, since the nationwide services often make delivery mistakes or provide less than satisfactory flowers.
I was pleasantly surprised at the very low cost to get flowers to one of my dearest friends on Mother’s Day this year. Furthermore, they have my trust, because they admitted when I attempted to order for some more of my relatives that they are overwhelmed with orders and might not be able to deliver on time. I doubt that many florists would be candid about that. Because of this candor, they lost my business for one other order this week, but I will trust them just that much more.

My husband and I have had many positive experiences with George Thomas in Irvington. They supplied our wedding flowers in 2011, and my mom’s corsage stayed pretty for more than a month. Lately, my husband has been wooing me with fresh flowers from their shop every Wednesday, taking advantage of their Happy Hour from 4:30 — 5:30. The staff is helpful and accommodating, and I can’t say enough about the gorgeous flowers and their staying power. I’ve had some daisies in a vase for three weeks and sunflowers for two weeks. We love having such a great flower shop to dot our friendly Irvington downtown. If you’re looking for fresh flowers, look no further than George Thomas.

I’ve never bought flowers from here, but I stopped in during the Irvington Art Walk and they were really friendly… all smiles. They invited us to go back into the workshop area to view some of the arrangements they were working on, and their large glass walk-​in fridge is up front where you can see all the flowers. I’ve always thought florists were kind of secretive (one of the many ways I’m weird), and I appreciate the open-​ness here.
We left with a business card and were told about their happy hour: during the last hour they’re open each day (4:30−5:30pm), all stems are half-​off. I might have to stop and get some purple orchids for my dining table this week!

I really like this flower shop and need to get my butt over there more often — you should too! Their roses last forever — love it!

Somehow, in my studies of the Circle City, its history, and inhabitants, I missed out on the fact that George Thomas was running a floral empire from the east side of town. Having contracted over the years from multiple locations to one at 10^th & Shadeland, this summer GeoTom relocated to the heart of Irvington. The rehabbed interior of a vacant storefront is part flower shop, part warehouse chic, and these people know their petals. Make your own arrangements or trust their judgement, either way you’ll leave happy. They deliver all over central Indiana, too, so give them a call even if you can’t stop by in person.
