It was my first time here and I knew exactly what I wanted. So I didn’t waste a lot of time in this location. I will say that I was greeted and people seemed pretty friendly as far as library staff go. However, there eight staff people and five of them were all talking very loudly at the front counter. This talking even distracted me when I knew what I was looking for, so I could only imagine if your were trying to read, as you might be having a hard time. I as able to find what I came for and quickly left. There is a large computer lab here, so that’s nice. They are ok and I would only come here if I need to. I recommend going to Central or even Haughville branches if you are looking for something quiet.

This library is small and cozy. I really like it. If you have read my other reviews you know I’m a movie person. So, to talk about their movie section… It’s very very small. But still has a nice selection. I also read that you could order things(books, movies, etc.) if the library doesn’t have it. However it might just do you good to go to another branch since Indy has so many! But Garfield park is where I go often. I like :) it’s right by the park so there are places to sit and read outside. They inside has tables and chairs also. And the library assistance are ALWAYS nice. I commend them.

$ 2.50 to charge your electric car here! One of the smaller branches in the Indy library system, but it has a fantastic rain garden and is located in the midst of Garfield Park. I don’t believe there’s a community room here. However, the staff here is helpful! That’s what sets this branch apart from many of the other branches where the people behind all the desks are too busy to answer a question or help you, and instead send you to the(empty) help desk, or some other area of the library to seek out someone who may or may not be at their assigned area. So thanks, GPLibrary, for making my day easier and more pleasant!
