I was skeptical about his place from the reviews however I really wanted a nova lox sandwich and this seems like the only place downtown to get one. I was pleasantly surprised. My sandwich was good and it was out before I could fix my coffee. The coffee is good here as well. The lady behind the counter was «Midwestern» nice which is refreshing compared to the bagel places in the northeast.

Yes, I know it’s a chain, and it’s gotten a lot of mixed reviews, but my experience here was great. My mom and I wanted to grab some coffee after lunch, so we were happy to stumble upon Einstein.
We were practically the only customers, but it did take a few minutes for us to get our coffee and warmed up coffee cake. However, it wasn’t long enough for me to notice, and as soon as we sat down, the guy brought us over a free strudel for the wait! Free food makes everything better, and it was already good. And the strudel was even tastier than the coffee cake.
I’ve had bagels from Einstein before, just not in a store, and they are delish. My mom and I were marvelling over all the different choices and schmears and thinking we need to go back for brunch sometime. My theory is, if they call it «schmear», it’s a good bagel place.

The ice mocha was very crappy the service wasn’t bad the bagels were. mediocre and this place is overrrated badlyyyy

Very poor service on Saturday 10÷11÷14. And with a negative attitude.
I frequent my local store and that has great service.
Consistent quality of service is key in the chain experience.
I hope their administration is watching, listening and willing to take corrective action here.

I am an Einsteins fan… BUT this location has the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. I stopped by before work to grab a quick coffee. The coffee is self serve so you pay, grab a cup, and poor. Easy and quick right? WRONG!!! I was there for 45 minutes because of the man ringing items in who was struggling and then they had no coffee brewed of any kind. I told them twice they were out of coffee and finally the manager screamed at the poor confused employee ringing things in to make coffee for the lady who was in such a big hurry!!! I found this extremely offensive and unbelievable. They finally brewed coffee and it was full of coffee chunks. By this point I was late for work and asked for a refund which took them 15 minutes to do. This was one out of many horrible experiences at this Einsteins and after this I can no longer give them my time or business.

Terribly understaffed, waited 30 mins and still didn’t receive my sandwich while 3 other people ordered and left with their sandwiches. I will never come back to this location.

I have a couple of issues with Einstein Brothers, first of all is Value. I think for a plain bagel and an iced tea, 5 bucks is kind of steep. Today was very busy, and I waited for my food for 20 minutes and then I got the wrong kind of bagel. I manned up, I ate it, but was like, seriously? My other issue is how they have their workers positioned. You have 2 people taking orders/​collecting monies and one to make the food. No wonder the wait was horrible. Learn how to properly utilize the staff you have on hand.

Okay, maybe this is better during the week and I’ve always been in on off hours (Saturday and Sunday mornings) but they always seem confused. My order always comes out right and tastes good but it’s typically kind of a cluster getting everything.

Stopped for a jug of coffee otw to work and lost over 20 minutes of my life…
Staff moving slow, but cheerful except shift manager who seemed to wanna scream at one of the staff… tension moment I didnt need at 730 am when I just want coffee.
I love einsteins but this place was disappointing… Will go back to he one on illinois (?)…much better experiences there.

REALLLLLLLLLY BAD, I got here at 950am on a thurs, there were 3 ppl in line in front of me. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese, easy right? Wrong, 20 min later I got what I thought I ordered, only I didn’t. Wrong order, came back, and got the right. And after all that, it was just fair. I realize this isn’t Lenny’s on the upper west side where I would pop in, get the best bagel of your life for $ 2 ready in 1 min, but part of the appeal of grabbing a bagel is that it’s an on the go food, couplah minutes and you’re back on your way, but 25 min for a soggy bagel? Seriously? No.

This place looks like a wreck every time I go in there.
–It’s always messy and out of coffee.
–They always seem understaffed and running around even though there are not a lot of people in the store. Kind of like somebody just quit and the’re short staffed.
–Twice now I’ve tried to get a lox bagel and it ended up with crumbs and flavors on it from the other bagels that were on the servers gloves. Wear a fresh pair of gloves when you handle lox!
Indianapolis you deserve better bagel choices.

This is my go-​to place when I want to grab a coffee with lunch — all of the bagel sandwiches are great, not to mention the bagels themselves. The fact that they serve freshly brewed coffee throughout the day is a definite plus.
Service is friendly and today they won me over when I stopped by in the middle of the afternoon for a small coffee (a workday pick me up) and they just handed me a cup and told me to help myself free of charge.
I’ll be back!

I am a long time fan of Einsteins bagels. The bagels are fresh and there is a wide variety of *light* cream cheese. There is also a good selection of sandwiches for lunch as well.
Why 3 stars? This location seems to have an issue with listening to the orders. Every time I’ve come in and asked them NOT to toast my bagel they do. Coffee? I’m always handed the wrong size cup.

I really enjoy the new Einstein Bagel Co location on E Market street. This new location occupies the old Arbys space. They did a good job renovating the space to make more room for patrons. Lots of tables and spaces for people to meet up plus free WiFi. I think the bagels also taste a little better (from the 3 times i’ve been there) vs the old location. With that there are still some quirks that need to be worked out. Every time I go in there seems to be a minimal selection. The last time I asked and it seems that they get lots of last minute corporate orders that wipe out inventory (the last time I went in someone had ordered 4 buckets with half everything) which basically wiped everything out. I also ordered a blueberry strudel toasted last time for my wife and they managed to burn it in toasting (unfortunately it was the last one left). The staff just doesn’t seemed to really be on the ball yet but I imaging most people are new (given the time they were closed for so long) and this sort of thing will just work itself out over time. Keeping an ample and constant selection of bagels though is imperative.

Bagels fast and fresh plus you can have them toasted. Lots of nice things to go on the bagels. Plain or toasted with different flavors of cream cheese. They even make breakfast bagels with eggs an such stuff. Lunch bagel sandwiches are yummy too. My favs are a toasted sesame with plain cream cheese (I know — I am a predictable lad) or for lunch the incredible bagel dog (a hot dog with a bagle wrapped around it server piping hot.). They also have their own brand of coffee which is nice.
One other feature of this store are the cool benches at the windows made perfect for people watching.
