This review is based on the lunch buffet. I’m seeing a lot of divided reviews — people seem to either love this place or have a strong distaste. I’m happy to say that it was a winner! The lunch buffet is between 11−3pm. I’m not sure on weekends, so double check that before you plan. When the buffet is up, two people can eat all they can manage for under $ 20. You can also be in and out pretty quick. No complaints here. I’m going to keep this brief because i’m(unfortunately) very uneducated about the delicious food that I was eating. The colors were beautiful and unique — I love seeing so much variety on my plate. Vegetarian options are also provided! I loved the chicken tandoori and tikka masala. I could have eaten at least 10 bhatoora(deep fried, fluffy bread) but I decided that I should also have some protein. It’s hard to stop eating. It’s real easy to grab lunch at some familiar place — try something new. You can’t go wrong with some naan and curry, especially here. I’m glad that I tried this out for lunch. It’s definitely going to be a regular lunch option!

The food was not what we expected from all these reviews so not coming back for sure!

Was super surprised with food/service after reading the reviews. Ordered the chicken curry and got fatty pieces of chicken and one spice dominated the flavor of the sauce. Won’t be coming back. Service was also very slow!

A friend and I were in town from Chicago and wanted some good food. We found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. We definitely weren’t expecting it to be so nice on the inside for being in a strip mall. Very nice ambience. We were greeted by the owner, who was very nice and funny. Sat down and got the buffet, which only cost $ 8.99 a person! I had a taste of everything and had no complaints. The main dish I could stay away from was the chicken curry. It was very delicious and flavorful. Wouldn’t think twice about going back next time we’re in town.

I never knew this place existed. It’s a reasonably priced place to get authentic Indian food. If you ever wanted to try good food with curry, then this is the place. I love the lunch buffet here. You can sample all their best dishes for one low price. They have a nice salad bar with fresh fruit, and some desserts too. It’s kid friendly and they offer take out too

Great Indian food! Service is quick and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala. They also have an awesome lunch buffet that allows you to try a little of everything!

Good décor. Above average service. Their lunch buffet is solid. The chicken tikka masala is a staple of any indian buffet and the one here does not disappoint. The naan is good as well. The rice is good. They even have gulab jaman for desert, which is not very common for these buffets. Can’t go wrong with this selection and you will leave in a food coma

Do the lunch buffet! Food is great the naan is always hot and delicious. I really enjoy the vegetable dishes and the chicken masala is the best thing in the buffet. Tandoori chicken is another favorite and they usually have a couple curry dishes as well. Two complaints: the rice has been dry in my experiences and the servers are very cold and will try to take your plates as soon as it gets somewhat empty even if you aren’t finished. There are always plenty of plates at the start of the buffet so I don’t understand the rush.

Best dishes: vegetable pakora, veg manchurian, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, naan, gulab jamun Dishes better at other restaurants: tandoori chicken, samosas, kabobs, chili chicken Their lunch buffet is pricey but fresh and pretty good. Whenever we order food for takeout or dinner it isn’t as good as it is in the buffet for some reason.

Great place and great option for quick lunch. Helpful Hint: if you order for take-out, take note that one of the guys who sometimes answers the phone says yes to everything you say then gets the order wrong(he’s a non-native speaker). Just make sure to ask them to repeat it and you should be all set. Otherwise, can’t go wrong! Especially with shrimp tikka-masala.

Solid Lunch Buffet $ 8.99, 7 days a week from 11am-3pm! Not much to say as this is your average(yet amazing as always) Indian Buffet. Great variety of flavorful dishes, clean restaurant, attentive staff — overall impressed.

Simply some good stuff. Same owners as Shalimar in Broad Ripple and you can tell, quality and flavor is always good. I have only visited Delhi Palace to pick up take out for dinner. I ordered the chicken curry with mushrooms and was impressed with how quickly they got my order together and also how much food I got for the price. I had leftovers for two more meals. Three total. I am hoping to go back soon to experience the lunch buffet. That way I’ll be able to sample a variety of what they have to offer. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys Indian food. The best Indian in the downtown Indy area.

Plain and simple — it sucks ! Indians would save themselves some disappointments by staying away.

Being from Cincinnati and having your pick of great indian restaurants around the university heights area, I’m always a bit skeptical when I try indian food out of town. I’ve been told by out of towners that Cincinnati has the best around, and it’s pretty damn good. So after a long day of work, gym, and cleaning, I found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I got in a little before closing 9:30 on Thursday and the place was obviously empty. I expected the man working the register to be a little peeved that someone was coming in as they were closing, but he was quite friendly. I ordered the chicken vindaloo for 11.99 medium spicy to go, and my order was out in 5 minutes and I was on my way home to chow down. The interior of this place seemed very clean and well kept, and I noticed the empty buffet calling my name for another time. I got back to the apartment and noticed how much food you get, I could smell it in the elevator and my mouth already started to water. It was mounded up over the top of the plate and started to fall off onto the table! The first thing I noticed is that the sauce was greenish-brown which is usually indicative of being cooked without draining the yogurt,(which is how I like to make it) and heavily spiced, and very little cream. I also noticed that the chicken had tons of ginger, so much that you could actually crunch it. This didn’t bother me as I love ginger. Was quite spicy, and well seasoned. If you like chicken tikka masala with orange sauce you’re probably not going to like this dish, but it suited my tastes and the meat was very tender. Next time for a dine in experience!!. 5 on taste, and portions, 3 on price. Will be back!

An all round positive experience. The food was of fantastic quality though the service could have been a little more welcoming. I have eaten here a few times and I thoroughly enjoy the palak paneer. An overall good experience. Two thumbs up in my book.

First let me start by saying that my experience here has always been extremely positive. The waitstaff has always been extremely attentive and the cleanliness of the restaurant has always been on point. The food always seems hot and fresh for the lunch buffet and your drink is sure to be refilled promptly. If you enjoy the ambience and flavor of India this is certainly your go to place. For $ 9 per person this Indian buffet can’t be beat.

This was my first experience at an Indian restaurant and we visited for their lunch buffet. The atmosphere was steady, but not loud or overly busy — clean and organized. The buffet had some great entrees and I enjoyed everything I sampled, unfortunately I can’t recall the names. Would I return? Yes, just to invite others for the unique experience. However, I’d like to visit during dinner when it’s an evening crowd.

I went to Delhi Palace today with my coworkers. I must say the quality of the food was much better than when I went last time. Hopefully, that was just a bad day. Otherwise, I feel that this place is okay, and definitely a spot to hit up for some cheap indian buffet lunch, and I’ve upped my rating to 3 stars.

This is the first place I had Indian food in Indy. The food tastes good, and the owner owns Shilmar in Broad Ripple too. Their buffets are nice, and they have a great variety to choose from. They have a stamp card, you get stamped for each meal, and when you reach ten you get a free meal — this is what I recall, I might be wrong Get the chicken tikka masala. I think they can work better around their spices, its good but not that delicious.

This place is a hidden gem! Finally went here after moving to the downtown area. We went for the lunch buffet on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated by our waiter and was provided with a pitcher of water. And on the right of you is a self serve buffet area. It may look small but the 25 items or maybe less will fill you up! I never had indian food before and loved every single thing here. It must be all the spice and curry. Can’t get enough of it. Didn’t know half the stuff I ate, but it was all good. My favorite was the chicken tandoori. This place is perfect for vegetarians, they seem to have a good handful of vegetarians dish and it tasted good maybe cause it tasted like meat somehow. It’s best to go on a weekend the parking lot isn’t packed full like it is on a weekday so you will be sparing yourself of looking for a spot.
