I just had my wisdom teeth removed. Went to fill my scripts for pain meds and antinausea so that I can actually take the pain meds. I was told it would be 4 hours. So after waiting four hours while the pain meds from my surgery wore off… when I went to pick it up they still were not ready. When I was handed the pain meds I asked about the other medication. I am a licensed pharmacy tech so I asked about the drug using the brand name«zofran» the tech at the counter said I didn’t have a script for this. Apparently he did not know that ondansetron was the generic version. This is pretty concerning to me that this man who is in charge of making sure people get the right meds… Doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. Anyway once I informed him that they were they same drug he said it would take a day to get my insurance to pay for it!!! So i waited a day… called back and they said there was no reason I would have had to wait… it was there but wasn’t on my insurances formulary. So I would have to pay out of pocket for it… why couldn’t they have told me this days ago so that I could pay for it… rather than to just not do or say anything about it? To top it all off… as I am on the phone with another tech, trying to figure this mess out… this woman is smacking her chewing gum over the phone so loudly I couldn’t even understand her… and yet she was being rude to me because I just had dental surgery and she had a hard time hearing me. This place is a joke. I understand that retail pharmacy work can be difficult. .but isn’t that all the more reason to train your employees correctly?

I dropped off a prescription at 4:30. The lady said it would be ready at 6pm, to come back then, come in, they will update my insurance information at that time. Apparently, the pharmacists can’t multitask. I waited over 30 minutes to get the pharmacist to get it right. Incompetence at its finest. If you cannot multitask, please don’t attempt to do so. After all of that, I was unable to get my prescription.
