There is a reason why they went out of business, see other reviews. What else is there to say, they are the worst food truck in the city of Indy. I am very proud of our food truck culture, and they were holding us back. It’s survival of the fittest here.

The Cutie Pies Pizza Food Truck is a regular at the Indiana Government Center’s Farmer’s Market that takes place each week throughout the Summer months. As a lover of both cuties and pizza, it would seem to be a perfect combination and I’ve ventured their direction on more than one occasion including for today’s lunch. I tend to keep things pretty simple and ordered their pizza slice/breadstick special that serves up a slice of pizza with one breadstick(w/cheese dipping sauce). I chose a slice of pepperoni pizza and forked over $ 6.00. I think it’s generally accepted that you’re going to pay a bit more for the food truck and/or farmer’s market experience. That said, every time I find myself paying $ 5 – 6 for food truck pizza I have to chuckle because I nearly always cringe at the thought of paying the same price for mall pizza. Admittedly, most of the food trucks serve up a better product. The selling point with Cutie Pies for me is the customer service. No, not just because they’re cute(but they are) but because they’re actually friendly and helpful. The pizza itself is a middle-of-the-road experience — it’s neither bad enough to make you feel like you’re getting ripped off nor good enough that you want to tell everyone about the place. The pepperoni distribution is a bit on the slight side and the crust itself is decent enough but not really memorable. The breadstick was light and fluffy with cheese sauce that reminded me a lot of that I used to get from Noble Romans. For $ 6.00, I’d expect a bit more of a spark. Overall, Cutie Pies Pizza is a decent enough option but with the Indy food truck scene growing there’s no doubt there are better dining experiences to be found among the area’s food trucks.

As a pizza lover, I’m always up to try new pizza So, when I was hanging out with the family in Zionsville and Cutie Pies Pizza was at the event we were attending, I voted yes to get some. My dad decided to get a 16″ pepperoni and a cheese at the one size lower(14″ or 12″). Only the 16″ and 7.5″ personal are listed on the website, but there were a couple other options that night at the truck. I did not order the pizza, so I can’t comment on the service. After he ordered, I noticed the price was $ 23 for the 16″ 1-topping and $ 16 for the cheese. Are you serious? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen prices even come close to these anywhere even at high end places for comparable sized pizzas w similar toppings. I eat at A LOT of pizza places and I was pretty much dumbfounded. I always thought food trucks had some financial advantages over storefront restaurants… I must be wrong. We took the pizzas home and I grabbed a slice of pepperoni. This better be awesome. Took a bite. This pizza is not awesome. It wasn’t terrible, but it was bland. The dough is soft and somewhat dense… my family described it as doughy. Everyone was pretty underwhelmed. The pepperoni… cheese…sauce…absolutely nothing special. If the pizza was priced reasonably, I probably would’ve shrugged it off and said«eh, not real special, but not bad». I have no idea how this truck stays in business… they must price the slices better or have lunch deals or something, as this was a complete ripoff.

Not the worst food truck pizza in town, but I was not impressed. The pizza tasted very generic. There was nothing memorable about the sauce or cheese, and the crust was very bland. Each slice comes with a breadstick and cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was obviously canned, and the breadstick was very bland and generic. It tasted like store-bought and was not very warm. It was not awful, but with so many other tasty truck options, I doubt I would get it again.

As far as food truck pizza goes, Cutie Pies falls pretty much in the middle. Nothing particularly memorable about it, but not bad.

Had a slice of the Cutie – sausage, pepperoni, black olive. Sausage was good – touch of spicy. Very little sauce. Thick crust similar to Pizza Hut.
