Who doesn’t want a nearby home décor store to casually amble through on a lazy Sunday afternoon? It’s a place to dream, a place to mentally pin to your wish list, a place to find furnishings or furniture you aren’t going to find at IKEA. Got our beloved dining table from here – repurposed teak from old cricket stadiums. You can buy your stuff at any chain, but here, you buy it from a local, from one of your neighbors, and maybe you get a story with it, like our table. Friendly, fun, and in an historic building. Love all of it!

I feel this place is going through a bit of an identity crisis. Scattered among the pricey pieces of wood furniture are cheap knick-knacks such as Ball jar and solo cup ‘wine glasses’, wine related gift wrapping, funky women’s necklaces and even glittery Halloween decorations. It’s a bit confusing. Are they trying to be a furniture store? Silver in the City? Party City? I will say I love the candle selection from Paddywax and Vance Kittira. I own three of the Vance timber tapers in odd colors such as grey, sea glass green and black. I love the interior of the old building that Chatham Home resides in. Lovely hardwoods and beautiful staircase to the second floor. Service is always consistent in this manner: I walk in to see two ladies working the register that greet me, and that’s it! No ‘is there anything I can help you with?’. There’s no effort there. Honestly I usually like being left alone, but I at least like a bit of a chase. :) Overall this place is nice to browse in… once. It has really changed much since it opened. Just sort of the same stuff as always, but with more knick-knacky things. P. S. All candles are decently priced though.

Great merchandise, WAY out of my budget. I went here today for the first time looking to potentially buy furniture for my new apartment. They had a lot of really cool stuff in there in many varieties and everything seemed to be of very high quality. I really liked the look, ambiance, and layout of the store. However, I’m not sure if it is a combination of the convenience of being downtown on Mass Ave and the high quality, but the prices were through the roof(on everything, not just furniture)! If money were no object to me, I’m certain that I would have found everything I needed from there and would have been very happy with my purchases. However, that is not the case for me. I ended up going to Audrey’s Place just down the road a bit and got everything I needed for about 1⁄3 the price of what I would have spent at Chatham Home.

I can’t believe I hadn’t been here sooner! This shop is a great place for gifts, décor and furniture for your home. They have a good mix of contemporary, vintage-y and modern pieces for everyone. Staff can’t be beat. While chatting up one of the workers I discovered we both have Scottie dogs and he immediately showed me all of the«scottie themed» pieces in the store. Being a weird dog person I bought them all and encouraged him to call me if they ever get more stuff in! I felt like I could have browsed this place for an hour and still not get to everything. They also offer a Unilocal discount, so I got $ 10 off my purchase of $ 50 or more which made my pocketbook happy!

Hidden treasure!!! Stumbled across this gem on a quiet Sunday and discovered a beautifully restored old building filled with amazing items just our taste. And priced right. Loved the mix of local artists and reclaimed furnishings. Left with two full shopping bags and plans to return soon. Don’t miss this one the next time you visit Mass Ave!!!

One of my favorite places to shop for birthday/Christmas gifts for my sister. From expensive furniture to affordable knick-knacks, Chatham Home’s merchandise has a style that you can’t find anywhere else in Indy. It’s a family-run business and the family is very nice. They’re friendly without pushing you to buy anything. They don’t have to be aggressive. They know they have great stuff! I love the adult alternative music they play in the store. My compliments to the«DJ!» Chatham Home is a short walk northwest of Mass Ave., a bit off the beaten path.

I love it when I have some free time on a Saturday morning and can spend some time at Chatham Home. Every time I pop in and walk through the shop, I find a piece of furniture or a home decoration that I can’t live without. Chatham Home is a local home furnishing store right off Mass Ave and its two floors filled with reclaimed wood tables and dressers, artwork, elephants, hot air balloons, beds etc. Pricing I think is sometimes a bit high, but this isn’t the low-quality stuff you find at the chain-type home furnishing stores. No sir, this stuff is built to last and is worth the investment. If I’m looking for a gift for someone, downstairs they have a lot of great items for gift-giving. On a recent visit, a friend scored a cute little birdhouse decoration that she’s giving as a gift. Chatham Home currently has a special for Unilocalers who check in at their store, so make sure you check in on the app while you’re there. Who knows, maybe you’ll save some dough!

Lots of cool and unique furniture and household knick-knacks, great place to find a gift. Things are on the pricey side, but they have a lot of solid wood pieces that are heavy and good quality. They also have some locally made jewelry, custom upholstery, and wine-themed implements. I live just around the corner and wish I could afford to furnish my whole place by them. But once we did ask them about a dining set and said we were very interested in buying – they said it was actually going on sale soon and they’d email us, since we just bought a big wood sideboard piece and they had our email, but they never contacted us and the next time we were in the store it was gone :(Doesn’t mean I’ll stop going in

Chatham Home offers a unique blend of home furnishings from the dining room table to the bedroom posters. Their offerings are quite unique in many cases, and I’ve been fortunate enough to purchase some home accessories. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The only drawback: even with the money to burn, they’re a bit pricey for a bit too long. I can understand the up-charge on the front end, with them being a new business. Yet, some of the items which have been in the store for 6 – 9 months only have a 25% reduction on them at current. Still, I will continue to buy from Chatham Home due to the uniqueness and quality of their selections.

Been in here a few times to shop around and look for some cool eccentric home décor items. They have a lot to offer from trinkets to furniture to cool wall decorations and stylish gifts for yourself or a friend. I bought one of the Indy neighborhood posters here and they were great to work with me getting it mounted properly and calling me when it was ready. My husband loved it since it was a big surprise for him :) I will say it is a little pricey but if you have the moola go for it. But some of the decorations and trinkets aren’t too shabby if you’re looking for something unique for yourself or giving a housewarming gift.

This store is such a breath of fresh air. I was cruising around the area with my boyfriend and we happen to stumble upon this little gem. This is a nice boutique furniture and gift store that I plan to frequent often. Each piece of furniture appears to be hand selected and one of a kind. The fabric options if you choose one of their darling upholstered chairs or couches are trendy and homey all at the same time. This is also a store that you can run in and pick up a quick and very reasonably priced gift for a hostess, birthday, housewarming, etc. The mother and daughter who are the owners are incredibly friendly and I am sure the rest of the staff is as well. This is a must see if you are ever in the area!

Great trendy home décor shop… Excellent style and trends… But bring your credit card with a high limit — these pieces are no joke when it comes to price.

I really, really want this store to succeed, because the staff is friendly, the store is beautiful, and their selection is stuff you don’t see just anywhere. Prices, too, are quite reasonable compared to the high-end furniture retailers. The furniture does seem to fall into a certain category — maybe antique-rustic? — but they have tons of fabrics to choose from. Please visit — and buy something!

I really liked my visit — a variety of styles that blend well. The eclectic rustic contemporary furniture and accessories are offered in a range of appropriate prices.

I want to live in this store! Love the contemporary rustic style. Many unique culturally influenced pieces make you feel like you are in the home of a world traveler. They have genuine antique pieces, as well as new made-to-look-antique pieces that I will never buy because I tell myself I can make it myself– so basically will never have because one because I will never actually get around to making it myself. Along with furniture they also have quirky cool décor accessories, like giant bean pods(trust me) and giant balls made out of driftwood or something… I forget exactly what… Go see for yourself, it is worth stopping by even if you are not in the market for home décor. If you are in the market for home décor, expect things to be on the pricey side. But this is coming from a girl whose furniture all came from craig’s list, Ikea, or my childhood home, so I’m not the best judge. I’m sure their prices are competitive when compared with non-chain, grown-up furniture stores. So I’ll save my pennies and hope to shop there someday.
Until then, just excited to have them in the neighborhood so I can stop by and pretend.
