Carolyn Shay is a fantastic vet. She is very thorough and extremely trustworthy and caring. I always feel that our pets are in the best hands possible when they are with Carolyn. Her assistant Liz, is also wonderful with the animals.

Carolyn Shay is –such– a good vet! She has helped us take care of our cats and dogs for 30 years, and some of them have been «challenging» cases. Our 16-​year-​old cat was an hours-​old foundling that has always had health issues. Our Irish setter had the Bloat. Our Chow was as ornery as they get. Our Aussie pushed out a screen and jumped out a 2^nd-​story window. No, we’re not terrible pet owners, but we’ve had some weird issues, and Carolyn has been wonderful in helping us through them. Trust her!

Dr. Shay has been practicing for many many years. She is extremely versed and knowledgeable about both cats and dogs. I’ve been taking my animals here for many years and I would not take them anywhere else. The only reason why I don’t give them five stars is because the hours are sometimes limited. The office location is right in the heart of Castleton, the pricing is extremely competitive and service and attention to the animals is second to none. I even had a rescue dog that got extremely sick, to the point where I couldn’t take care of her anymore and I was about to put her down. The vet adopted her and kept her life for a little bit longer than I probably could’ve been able to. They did this out of the goodness of their heart and not charge me a dime to do so. Wonderful caring vets ! I love my animals and trust dr shay !
