I really wasn’t impressed with the staff. I walked in, and no one greeted me. Honestly, I’m completely fine with that if they don’t do it to anyone else. But it feels really unfair to not get greeted when every single person through the door after me got some form of greeting. If they didn’t greet them at the door, they walked up to them and asked if they needed help finding anything shortly after. I was in there for 45 minutes without a peep from the two members of staff. I went to pay for my items. It took a while because the two staff members were required to ring up one person, and they were all having a lovely conversation. The cashier asked if I was a member of the rewards program. I’ll actually sign up if I think I’m coming back, but I’m not coming back. I replied with«No thank you» which is supposed to be a polite way of declining what someone’s offering. Instead, she asked if I wanted to sign up. I just reiterated«No thank you». I pulled out my reusable bag because I don’t need to throw away another giant plastic bag that’s way too big for the amount I purchased. All of a sudden, it was like everything I owned became toxic to the cashier. She didn’t want to touch my purchase or bag, so I had to bag my own items. Maybe it was her style of petty revenge? Regardless, that’s not how you treat customers. Actually, I think I will be back, but it will be to return all the items I purchased.

It’s Carters. It’s ridiculously cute, and ridiculously overpriced children’s clothing at the ridiculously pretentious Keystone Crossing. Really, this is Indiana. We’re blue collar, and I realize we like gold swagger, but, c’mon, really! They have Carter’s at Target and Wal-Mart for crying out loud for a lot cheaper. «But they have coupon deals at the Carter’s store.» Yeah, and they have a clearance section a Target too! You’ll still pay more. I mean, yeah, it is a good place to go if you need a SPECIFIC item, for example, baby socks. Yet, it is completely impractical to put socks on an infant up to pre-toddler. Why, because they kick them off and they get lost in the most random places. My kid(and the one on the way will presumably) hate things on their feet anyway and would much rather stick their toes in their mouth. However, the socks here are completely adorbs! How can you pass up six pairs for $ 12? Wait! What? Did my cheap fingers just type that??? Ahem! Anyways… don’t walk in here with any money that you plan to keep. But your kid will look cute while you’re broke.

Carters Outlet is a-maaay-zing. It has a large selection of boys and girls clothes and is VERY reasonably priced. The quality is great, holds up well in the wash and is in a variety of colors. For a new mom, with a very quickly growing boy, it’s nice to have a place that will easily exchange for larger sizes with no issue(b/c your child never had a chance to wear it in the smaller size) and that has a lot of selection for both sexes. As a parent of a boy, it sucks going into a department store or the likes of Target only to be sorely disappointed b/c there are only two racks of boys clothes amongst the 25 racks of girls’ choices. I know girls clothes are cuter, but give me a break! We have to clothe our boys too! Carters Outlet solves all my problems with one whole HALF of the store all about boy… in lots of browns, greens, blues, oranges, greys and black… love the choices! Also, they are super affordable! For growing kids, this is a must! For kids who only wear their stuff for a few weeks or months, it’s nice to not break the bank on adorable clothes. Annnd, if you sign up on their website, there are always coupons being emailed. Not only that, but usually the store is boasting 40−50% off sales especially around the holidays. The one thing I do wish they would do more of are the zipper sleepers, but I’m not really complaining — just suggesting :). It’s a great place. Good for children from Newborn to 5T. It’s a must go!
