I moved here from a house 3 times the size of my apartment with a lawn the size of the courtyard, and I could not be happier! Yes, there are imperfections — just as there are in any place you will ever live. I appreciate the fact that the apartments are off the beaten path, have lots of green space, old trees, and the highways are a safe distance away. Location is a matter of choice, but things that make a difference are well attended at Brockton. Staff is very friendly! Maintenance issues are dealt with quickly. For example, last night I posted a maintenance request online, and it was fixed within hours — during the evening, not daytime! I love the real hardwood floors, ample storage/closet space, and carport/garage options. The community offers lots of options for sizes and floor plans and has a good deal of diversity. If you don’t want to live in a cookie cutter filing cabinet of human lives beside a major highway — Brockton is a place worth visiting. I’ll be here as long as I live in Indy~ Cheryl

I have lived here for almost three years, and if I were staying in Indianapolis– I wouldn’t leave! Here are some reasons why: Any maintenance issue I’ve had has been attended to within twenty-four hours, even the after hours maintenance issues. Also, it has been a crazy winter. Their snow removal is on point! It is so nice to be able to get into my car and drive to work without having to worry about snow. The staff is friendly, helpful, and happy to answer any questions I have. The neighborhood is safe, and the location is convenient. I know that no location is perfect, apartment living can be stressful, but Brockton definitely contributes to a positive experience!

I’ve lived here for approximately six months now. I work downtown, moved here from Fountain Square. It was definitely an adjustment moving from being downtown always to back up in Broad Ripple. With that being said, Brockton has definitely aided in the adjustment. I have an apt with an updated kitchen– a must! The apts were built in the 60s so they can be a bit drafty, especially in the winter. My room gets a bit cold at night and the rest of the apt is warm. I had quite a few maintenance issues when I first moved in, but they were taken care of within 24 hrs each and every time. The amenities are nice: a pool, a workout center, a recycling center and lots of green space for being located in an urban atmosphere. I walk outside frequently and can’t hear traffic or people or city noise, which is amazing. I do have a complaint when the state fair is in full swing: the train runs constantly and its horn goes off even more often. That and the drafty apts. Other than that, if you don’t mind living in the glendale /Broad Ripple area and away from downtown, it’s a great apt complex. The staff are nice and helpful, even when you see them out in public. It’s a nice, diverse mixture of tenants(old and young, different races and ethnicities, etc). The rent is affordable for what you get; however, only gas and trash is included in utilities. Overall, 4 stars cause of its location and other items mentioned above. Would recommend living here to someone looking for something out of downtown.

You know that incessant beeping noise that large construction equipment makes when it backs up? Or the sound of a dump truck’s tailgate hitting the back of its truck bed when it’s emptying dirt? Or how about the screeching of old equipment that probably should have been oiled months ago? Well, move in at Brockton and you’ll learn to love all of these sounds. From the 7am beeping and grinding to the 2am dump truck emptying, your dreams will be riddled with beeps and bangs as long as you live here. Oh, not to mention the sounds of the state fair train whose tracks are conveniently located within walking distance… which means during state fair week expect to hear a train roll by and toot it’s horn(which is a sound probably pretty close the sound of the gates of hell opening) as it passes your building. The reason I give this place three stars is because my apartment is nice, the location is awesome, the neighborhood is safe and calm, and the management is nice enough. So there’s that.
