A supermarket that’s part of a giant chain, but yet feels like a mom and pop grocery store because of the friendliness of the staff. While you can’t get absolutely everything you might want(it’s a very small branch) they manage to get an amazing amount on to their limited shelf space.

I recently moved within walking distance to this Kroger so have checked it out a handful of times. I have been panhandled in the store, asked for rides, etc. the workers seem to accept this as the norm bc one of them offered a ride. I want to shop without feeling uncomfortable by this that seems to be a common occurrence here. I have since heard other people say this has also happened to them at this store. There is no fresh seafood counter which is disappointing. Each time I have been there they have been out of very simple items such as one time yellow onions, another time heavy cream and the last time strawberries. The cashier had an entire conversation with another employee while checking me out the last time, not the customer service level of places like whole foods and trader joes by far. It will do in a pinch but will still make the drive to other places for my full shopping.

This grocery store is great! Perfect size for the broad ripple neighborhood. There are organic options, and the workers are very friendly.

I go here from time to time because it’s only an 8 minute walk from my house, but it’s cramped and a bit dilapidated. Selection is alright for its size, but I wouldn’t make this my regular grocery store.

Did you know there’s a Kroger tucked away off the main drag in Broad Ripple? Me neither! It’s an old school Kroger that feels like it’s stuck in the 1980s, but it gets the job done if you’re looking for something basic. The layout is a bit odd, and it feels more like a glorified CVS than an actual grocery store. But, it’s convenient if you’re cruising through Broad Ripple. Find it back by the new Three Sisters location!

Nice store, small quiet right in heart of broad ripple. Only downside is traffic from broadripple but a nice little store to grab a few things.

This Kroger has been hanging on by a thread for the last twenty years or more. The head office is always trying to kill it from inside, but it survives. Like they say, it is what it is. Don’t expect everything to be stocked in this small store. They have most things one needs or wants. I like it because it is just a short walk for me. The produce is fresh. So is the dairy. And, hey, they fixed the doors and put the«in» on the right now.

Very handy. Has all you could want. Great prices. Friendly staff. Even some free food samples now and then.

I’m a fan of this teeny-tiny Kroger because I love being able to walk to the grocery store with my little reusable bags. Okay, this Kroger does not have the greatest selection, but they do have staples and some pretty nice high-end items, cheeses included. The tuna steaks I purchased are beautiful, and at a really good price. The wine selection is awesome for such a small space! I really wish they carried Athenos Greek yogurt, because they carry all kinds of Athenos products. I also really wish the cashiers were nicer. Some just act like it’s a huge hassle to check you out and scan your coupons. Get stoked that there’s a grocery store so close to your house!

While it does carry a decent variety of Quorn products, it also has peeling, stained, chipped floor tiles & is looking run down. Last time I was here, the odor of urine assaulted me upon entering. It reminds me of the Double 8 down the road from me, if Double 8 carried gruyère. If you need bread, milk, some celery, sure, you can run in here, but in looks alone, it’s kind of sketchy.

I totally agree with Sarah A.‘s review… and bumping it up an extra star. I love that I live in an area that has so many places that I can walk to without ever venturing out on a busy street like Keystone. Yes, I own a car! But what better way to reduce my carbon footprint then by hoofing it to the grocery when I just need a few items… with my own bag(s) of course :-) I’ve only lived in the neighborhood for about 4 weeks, so when someone told me we had a Krogers in Broad Ripple, I said: «Really? Where?» I only knew of the one on Keystone. I finally stumbled upon it the other day when driving down Guilford Avenue to avoid Broad Ripple Avenue during rush hour… or is that more accurately… happy hour… not that I am one to EVER disparage Happy Hour! So today, during my lunch break(I work from home)…I walked over to Kroger to pick up a few things that couldn’t wait until my next Trader Joe’s run. Prices were a little higher than Marsh’s, but that is to be expected for the size of the store and area it serves. While I wouldn’t do all of my shopping here, I certainly appreciate its existence.

This Kroger seems to be universally hated on by Broad Ripple-ites. Some even go so far as to call it the«cold war Kroger»(which, I might add, is extremely unjust, as anyone who’s ever lived in a post-Soviet state can you tell you!) I understand why people feel this way – it’s true that it doesn’t have as good of a selection as other chain grocery stores. But I certainly prefer its humble bearing to, say, the recently opened Fresh Market. Talk about yup-dom! I can provide my own classical music for myself, thanks. I don’t need it in a freaking GROCERY store. Anyway, this review’s not about the Fresh Market. While«cold war Kroger»(I really need to stop calling it that, ’cause it isn’t) may not be the place to find braised eels, sun-dried dates or – oh, fine – sometimes even chicken breasts(they do run out of staples now and then), it’ll usually do for your daily shopping. And it’s within walking distance for those of us who live by the Strip, which is important to me. Why waste the gas? Furthermore, while it may technically be a Kroger, it kinda feels like a community grocery store, and I like that. So, basically: yeah, it’s nothing spectacular. But it’s what we have, ok? Don’t hate. And believe me, it’s definitely better than Russian grocery stores circa the Cold War.
