Saturday morning breakfast, 9 am. Only good thing here was food quality. Service was slow and unfriendly even though they were not busy. Tables were left with dirty dishes the entire time we were there, even though servers & the manager walked by empty handed. I know that Bob Evans has very consistent requirements for many protocols and they are clearly not being met here.

Not a bad place to eat if you aren’t in a hurry. They were not busy… 5 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes to get acknowledged and order drinks. Another 10 to get drinks, the food came out shortly after the drinks. It was pretty good and hot. The waiter was very friendly and did offer my son a free sundae and sent him on his way with 2 free pieces of pumpkin and banana nut bread, I’m thinking because we waited so long.

Bob Evans provides a consistently good breakfast. The ‘special’ ingredients make the sausage gravy unbeatable. Omelettes are nicely prepared and served with choice of home fries or hash browns. If you ask for them to be crisped, they come crisped. Very good service kept coffee poured with frequent check-ins.

The quick chief makes up for the not so good service during breakfast at the counter. After 10 minutes of sitting the waitress asked me what I wanted; how about a menu and hello??? Food came out less than five minutes after I ordered. Food often kept piling up because 2 of the 3 waitress I saw kept disappearing(including one who took a personal call, then hit the restroom right after). Only Sarah was working hard, and taking orders out to customers for other waitresses. Bob Evans outside of Ohio is a huge step down in quality. The food the cook made was good, but the pre-made pumpkin bread tastes dry and days old. Also the bathrooms are nice, but not clean. You can tell they only clean the main areas– hint: if you see dirt on top of a urinal, clean it.

Much like my review of TGI Friday’s, I try not to review chain restaurants – they don’t need the publicity, either good or bad. But here? Well, I ate here three times, so something must be okay. Overall, the food was decent, the service was middling(with the welcome and pleasant exception of the cute gamer girl working the hostess stand who wanted to talk GenCon with me), and the restaurant itself was fairly well kept. I opted for the Pot Roast Hash on the first day – the cheese was a little much, and wasn’t quite as melty as I’d like, but the beef was savory and the eggs were done well. My chicken sandwich on the second day would have been better had I not seen it sitting in the window for a solid 10 minutes. Had I gotten it as it came out? Probably much better. Not much else to say here, really. Avoid the church crowds, and find somewhere that’s actually home-grown before settling on Bob Evans.

I stopped for breakfast. It was great. My service was good too. I was seated immediately. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

I’m gonna hook them up with a good review. I didn’t want to eat here but there was nothing else around. I walked in and was greeted and seated. Food came out hot and fresh. Props to the kitchen. My guess is they read all of the other reviews and made some adjustments.

Eh! It was okay, I had the roasted chicken. It was nothing to brag about, the sides were good. The biscuits were big and buttery and even better with apple butter. It’s all a matter of taste. People must go elsewhere because the place was empty.

Stopped in this morning. Lot was fairly empty, tables were empty inside, yet there were still 12 people waiting to be seated with no greeter(or any employee for that matter) to be found. Will not be returning to this Bob E.

Today was my first time at Bob Evans and let me tell you, I’m not going back. I’m a server and I was just disappointed with the timing, it took 40 minutes to get my food out then my hashbrowns were only don’t on the very top. It was just a bad experience and won’t come back.

Hey, it’s a quick lunch spot close to work. Breakfast is always the best bet at a Bob Evans. It’s kinda hard to mess with the first meal of the day, no matter when you eat it. Soup, salad, ½ sammie for $ 6.99 is a good pick. Comfie food, just not ‘homemade’.

Every wait staff in this place had a look on their face that screamed«i hate my job.» The food was good, but the service was sub-par. From a far you can hear the waiters complain about tips and how they were not making good money on tips; perhaps their attitude are the reason for this? either way, i don’t see myself going back.

I eat here for breakfast when I visit that part of town since it’s so close to my brother’s house. The food always tastes great, and the people who work there are polite and always give me a to go cup. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because their healthy selections are still very limited. We need to keep after American restaurants to continue to offer mostly healthy food, or at least standard food that doesn’t have as much processing involved. They are trying with their Be Fit breakfast and have some lower calorie selections though. Thank you, M. Dunette

It’s Bob Evans for goodness sake. You go there to eat comfort food and get on with your day. You’re not there to sip wine and enjoy the ambiance. The wait staff is crazy and yes they’re yelling at each other. I don’t care, I’m there to eat some pancakes.

I’ve been a Bob Evans fan for years(okay decades) and yikes this location has issues. So many times that I’ve been a customer at this location — its been a chaotic scene at the restaurant. I’ve had enough issues at the restaurant to actually go to Bob Evans website and submit a customer comment re: perhaps corporate needs to pay a visit and review the status of the this location. Again this weekend(glutton for punishment?) for breakfast I headed to Bob Evans — and as soon as I walked in I heard two women complaining at cashier. Bad sign. Frequently there are long delays in getting food and sometimes service is lacking due to understaffed? Once the food does arrive its always great. Order hot chocolate — probably the best ‘quick’ hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Summary: Understaffed perhaps? Food is great.

Man I wish we had a Bob Evans Restaurant in Chicago! This is the kind of restaurant that I would love to bring the kids to, well if we had kids of course. Very family-friendly atmosphere with a country feel to it, the shades of red and brown décor gave me a warm feeling. I also like that the majority of the seating is booths, more comfy than sitting at a table and chairs. Both the hostess that seated us and our waitress were extremely nice and sweet and made us feel at home right away. Our waitress was also very attentive and made sure that our drinks were refilled when needed. Food is delicious here, the menu is made up of homestyle comfort food favorites. I had the Chicken Pot Pie, which came with a garden salad for only $ 6.99 and the mister enjoyed their new Deep Dish Pot Roast Stew dinner with a yummy cheddar-potato soup. We were too full for dessert but they do offer a yummy assortment of homemade pies and cobblers which you can buy either by the slice or whole. Bob Evans — down on the farm!!!
