If you’re ok without the glitz and glamor of say… Target, then Big Lots may be just for you — at least occasionally. Big Lots carries a wide variety of seconds — meaning products that are overstock or possibly slightly defective. This isn’t a negative comment. What you see at Big Lots is what you get. And, you can expect at least 20% lower prices than similar or the same product anywhere else(like Bed, Bath and Beyond). Household products, some food staples, furniture, small appliances, etc. Now is the perfect time to stock up on festive seasonal paper plates and napkins! It’s worth stopping in from time to time.

Big Lots, already reviewed one Big Lots which means I have reviewed them all. You’re not sure if you should go? You should. It’s good. You will find something you need. Here is my original review if you want more reading material. I can’t believe I am reviewing Big Lots. If you don’t know what a Big Lots is you are missing out. Cheap stuff, nuff said. There is a ton of random stuff, name brand stuff, but random. It’s like a thrift store only everything is still packaged and unused. I like hitting the candy aisle first and snacking on twizzlers while I browse the store. I pay for the half eaten bag of twizzlers when I’m done, wrestle down people. They have electronics, food stuffs, health and beauty, home décor, toys(great a x-mas), and some questionable clothing. Some have furniture too, I haven’t inspected for quality, but if you need a bookshelf in a pinch might check it out. Mmmm… twizzlers

If you’re on a really tight budget, this is a great first-stop for things like picture frames, scrubs, and DVDs. I think I bought 4 – 5 documentaries or indie films here, as well as some awesome Thai noodle soup mixes and nice looking picture frames. Through the years I’ve definitely saved some money here on things like curtains, towels, kitchen utensils, and flower pots. Some of the stuff is really crappy, but a lot of it ended up there due to a packaging error… like the«Alarm Cock» or simply overstock from another store. This chain does buy-outs of other stores, so sometimes you can even find clearance stuff from Pier 1, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Michaels Crafts.
