Ben Davis High School

I went to BD on a work visit and the thing I was most impressed by was their commitment to safety. Every parent wants to send their child to school knowing they will be safe. When I drove in, there was a security officer checking me in. I had to show let them know exactly why I was there. Once they cleared me, I was able to park.
When I walked into the building, the doors were locked. I had the option to go to admissions or guidance. Once I entered the guidence department, I was prompted to take a picture and wear a visitors badge. I was then escourted by the counselor to where I needed to go and was not left unattended. Some would say this is a hassle. I say 4 stars for keeping the children of Indianapolis safe!
The school was pretty clean (including bathrooms) which is impressive for a high school. It seems they value safety and cleanliness!
