A good haircut is best discerned not immediately following the cut but in the weeks that follow and on the consistency of service and cut on subsequent visits. Bamboo has met these criteria with great success.
Amanda, who is my regular barber, takes her time and really provides a great experience and a superior cut that still looks fresh 3 weeks later. By far the best haircut I’ve had in a very, very long time.
I was surprised that so many places downtown have «stylist» from the burbs who cut hair like they were working at great clips and charging 30 plus dollars like they knew what they were doing. The price at Bamboo is very reasonable (actually a great deal) for the quality of cut. Go there for your next cut.

I’ve been a client at Bamboo for over a year now and am more than happy to pay the $ 20 – 25 price. Rich always does a great job with my hair, has great conversation, and is willing to get any product you might use. He doesn’t stock many products, but like I said, he will get them for you.
The space is nice; very open and airy with lots of color. Rich also does photography, so there are some really nice prints on the walls. It’s nice to watch the pedestrian traffic when you are in the chair.
Hint: go on Monday or Thursday. Haircuts are $ 5 off.

I second the reviewer above.
I have been to salon’s all over Indy and others across the country and Rich is my favorite barber. I always have him razor my hair and he does a wonderful job. This is the same building as the former Thairapy Salon. Rich bought Thairhapy, changed the name and took over as the sole barber.
The price is not ultra cheap at ~$ 20-​$ 25, but the cut is much better than you will get at anywhere that charges in the $ 10-​$ 19 range.

I like Bamboo. Rich, the owner is real nice and he gives a great haircut at a great price. Stop by and check it out. You will not be disappointed.
