I wrote a review for Bailey & Wright Dentistry years ago on another site that is now defunct so giving them a Unilocal review is long overdue. I have been a patient of Dr. David Bailey for several years through a recommendation given to my dad by my oral surgeon that has been a family friend since before my dad was in kindergarten. Though not ALL of them have been bad, most other dentists I’ve had in my life have been awful. I have many a tale I could tell about all of my bad experiences. Dr. Bailey completely puts me at ease though and makes all the bad experiences of the past a distant memory. I needed three small fillings several years back & realized I was seeing stars. I have seen weird things in a dentist chair since I was a child, but was always so uncomfortable and scared that it never occurred to me to mention it to the others. Dr. Bailey explained that it meant I was allergic to the local anesthesia. It was shrinking my capillaries from adrenaline, I believe it was. He made a note in my chart and told me they would use a different injection on me from then on. Getting fillings done by him was a breeze. I have joked that I almost wish I had cavities just so I could go see him again. ALMOST. Haha! My most recent visit was this afternoon for a cleaning. Debbie, the hygienist I usually request was out on vacation, but Tammy was great as well and took excellent care of me. I don’t fear being at the dentist anymore, but have a lot of trouble with anxiety in general. I was up-front about it and she was very understanding. The good music playing(Fleetwood Mac«Rhiannon,» etc.) and the comfortable chair helped a lot, too. Tammy took cheek x-rays right at my seat and did a thorough cleaning & polishing of my teeth. As always, Dr. Bailey came in afterwards to look at the x-rays and inspect my mouth and teeth for any problems. I was good to go and got the usual neat little goody bag they send home. The bag has a new toothbrush in your choice of color, floss and toothpaste. Sometimes you even get coupons for tooth brushes, etc. It’s the little things, you know, that make a nice touch, like Dr. Bailey’s name and phone number on the tooth brush handles. And the appointment reminder cards that have a little sticker on them you can put on your calendar so you don’t forget your next appointment. This is a family-run business by Dr. David Bailey, his brother, son-in-law and I believe another dentist in their family. Last year I broke a filling, but thought I broke my tooth. It was really painful to eat. I called and left a message that night and was able to get an appointment the next day. My Dr. Bailey wasn’t available, but the other Dr. Bailey took care of it for me. I don’t know him as well, but he was wonderful, too. I panicked a bit, but didn’t know until afterwards that the anesthesia I need now to avoid an allergic reaction takes effect faster. He told me the bonus was that it wears off faster, too so your face won’t be numb all day after you go home, just a couple hours. My new filling looks great, too! All white porcelain. Looks so much nicer than that old metal one and will last a lot longer, too. I am not being overly generous with the stars here. They deserve all five and then some, including the ladies at the desk that were very thorough and helpful today, especially Tiffany. I seriously HIGHLY recommend this dentist office. I don’t know that Dr. David Bailey is taking new patients, but you will be in good hands with any of them, even if you aren’t lucky enough to have him. I am looking forward to my next appointment. The building is across the street from the K of C Hall and right next to the Dairy Queen at 10th& Post Road where I have seen a sign in the past that said something like«Have a treat here and then go see Dr. Bailey.» He must have fans all over town and rightly so.
