6 Lounge

I was there this past Wednesday (March 25) for an after party. It was for the «Food Meets Fashion» event for Midwest fashion week here in Indianapolis. This was my first time here, so I was on a first impression bases. I was pleased with everything I saw in there. It was clean, decent amount of space good colorful lighting, nice dance floor, and great drink selections. We were in the VIP area and it was great. Plenty of seating and the white couches were very comfortable. TVs mounted everywhere which I love. I never mention bathrooms very often in my other reviews (because normally they are terrible), but the bathrooms here are very clean. The glass doors to the bathroom fog up when you lock them as well. Very stylish I thought. But these are not the things that made my night there. It was there servers working that night, Jessica and Rachael. I have to give a shout out to them because these two lovely ladies we very good to me and the guest in the after party. If you are lucky enough to run into either of them tip them well. They’ve earned it, and they certainly represent the place well. Overall I was pleased. So check it out!

By far the worst nightclub in Indy. Check out Bartinis, Blu, or Revel before stepping foot in 6. All three if the other mentioned nightclubs put 6 to shame. Idiotic owner, terrible customer service, boring atmosphere besides having the thrill of the potential of getting stabbed in your mind, and expensive yet poor quality drinks. It was cool in 2006, I’m guessing bankrupt by 2016.

don’t go here if you’re in town you might as well go to strake n shake. they have better customer service. legit.

When I got there it was a little early the dance floor was empty, but half hour later about midnight it lite up this young generation give this older gentleman a lot of energy and I haven’t dance that hard in 23 years I will come back and visit again I hear Saturdays are the more mature crowd the youbg one could’t keep up .lol

Fun bar! All the bartenders a beautiful and very friendly. The owner makes everyone feel welcome regardless whether you are a celebrity or a random person off the street. The new DJ is the best in the city. The bar had a ghetto reputation a year ago but has turned around into a fun lounge for everyone.

The owner and staff were beyond friendly! We are from out of town and we stopped in here at 7:30 on a Sat. The crowd doesn’t pick up until later but we chose to stay awhile and then come back after checking out a few other places because the staff was great. If you like music and enjoy dancing, 6 is the place to go! To the budget conscious: Tip, if you get there ‘early’ you might skip out on paying cover. I would recommend calling and asking what time they start charging cover.

Totally love this bar have been going there for so many years. Ravi the owner is a great person ad he is fun. The bar has two bar areas in it. Eight areas where you can rent for the night to have bottle services or a little chill spot for your friends and you. The music is hot and they have an awesome DJ to spin the hottest music. The baths they have are always clean. Got to love the bath room doors, they fog up when you lock them so no one can see in. I was just there a few nights ago and had a blast. I love 6 Lounge and always go there for hot music, cold drinks and great people to meet and hang out with. Plan on throwing my Birthday Party there this year!

Went for a friends birthday and got VIP in the area with a stripper pole. Too fun and funny. After we finished our bottles everyone was joking around on the pole. Reasonable drink prices.

To say this place is trendy no it is upscale. To say its expensive no your cheap
6 Lounge started the Trend in Indy This is an A list club. I’ve been to some of the hottest clubs around the world. My wife and I walk in late one night not knowing any one in town and walked out of 6 Lounge 2 days later with a whole new family. Ravi your the best and thank you for your kindness and hospitality. World Class Club. Locals and celebrities all mingling in one place very cool.

Suck. In a word.
I used to go here when it first opened. Yeah, $ 10 Jagerbombs and $ 5 beers are steep for Indy. The owner, Ravi, is a woman-​hitting dick. Over time, 6 has quickly became a primarily African-​American bar. Its not ghetto… people dress up to go there… its just not my cup of tea.

6 Lounge only gets 2 stars to balance the other ratings, plus automatic point deduction because it allows smoking. It is a very trendy lounge, for Indianapolis, but overly pretentious. The black & white décor, which others have described as «sexy», reminds me of trendy club in Vegas or South Beach circa 1998. We went here for a birthday party, and had reservations «upstairs» in the white section. I don’t know that there are many lounges in Indy that have bottle service, so it serves its purpose if you want to go all out with a group of friends. The music is great, and the staff is friendly and attentive, so we had a great time. I just think they need to take it down a notch.

Well I have to start off with it was a Tuesday night & I guess no one goes out in downtown on Tuesdays but… this place was soo cute! The music was great & it was soo nice on the inside.
Next time I am in town & its the prime night to go out I will go back!

I enjoy the sexiness of this bar… the staff is friendly and helpful… the VIP is gorgeous and always a place to be seen in Indy! Ravi always makes sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves.
Yes, I know Indy isn’t exactly the ‘Big City’ but this club along with a few others in the downtown area make it seem a little bit larger.
It’s a great place for a night out with the girls… or guys for that matter… whatever you’re in to. =)
As another reviewer said… the bathrooms do ROCK! It’s the little things that matter most sometimes… and the doors are really cool!

I must agree with another reviewer on this one … it’s still Indy, people. You can only be so sexy. There might be a handful of truly «local celebs» here on a given weekend night, but other than that, it’s a bunch of Hoosiers who spent an entire paycheck on their outfit to wear out that night, hoping to fit in to a scene they are truly never going to be included in.
I’ve been to this bar for an Indy car driver’s 21^st birthday party and I’ve seen the meat market that it is. I’m not pointing fingers at just this place. Honestly, I feel like any bar is a meat market. This one just seems to be more phony than most. The milk bar is a bit obnoxious, actually, and even though the party was mostly behind a bouncer at the steps, I lingered down to the main bar for most of the night.
Sorry. Just not my scene.

It’s certainly the trendiest and chicest clubs in Indy, that is for sure, but all that really means is that it draws a lot of people trying to be trendy and chic. I know who you are guys and girls. You’re the ones that sit snidely in the corner and sneer at my jeans and polo shirt. You’re the ones that are way over dressed and whisper frantically to each other when someone locally famous walks in the door. I know who you are and I think you’re insane for being this way.
I always feel judged when I go to this bar, the problem with that is not that I care about being judged, its that I care that these people think that because they got dressed up to come downtown it means they can be snobby pratts.
The place it nice, no doubt, the bathroom doors are probably the coolest part. The bar is expansive and the bartenders are usually on top of it. The VIP area is nice, but it really is just a place to be seen, and it isn’t any different than the main bar, except that white room in the back, that’s pretty nice.
I do like coming here on the less busy nights, I usually judge a good night to go as one where the owner, Ravi isn’t around. Not that I don’t like him, we’ve met on a few occasions and he is a decent guy, he has no idea who I am, but that’s ok, I’m not trying to be known, and I don’t really care to be the «In-​Scene» guy.
