Any time I’ve gone, the service has been ok. Drinks are always decently priced, but certainly not the cheapest or best specials. As for the craft beer it’s expensive and you’re better off going to brunzies and getting craft beer during their happy hour, which always has better selection too. My biggest complaint with twisted is their arrogance. I’ve went a few times for giveaways or drawings, most recently a PS4. On Twitter all you had to do was retweet their tweet and be present when they announced the winner. I even called to confirm. The manager or whoever it was I talked to also said after you have to be present said«there’s no where else to be». Right. Aside from the multiple other bars along philly street. Anyway me or none of my friends win, only to find out the next day you had to buy yuengiling beer and then fill out an entry form. Nobody told us this, none of the bouncers or bartenders even mentioned a contest was going on. It’s like they were trying to keep it under wraps and get a friend to win it. There has been a couple other times where a bouncer or server says something arrogant about them being the best, and I find it extremely annoying.

Probably the best sports bar in Indiana. They are non-smoking which is nice, have good bar food and the best beer selection in town. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend going for a Pens or Steelers game they run great game specials.

My favorite place to get a drink and watch the game. It’s clean and there’s no smoking in the bar!

Went downhill really quickly. When they first opened, the staff was the best in town. The place was run well and the prices were great. This place got cocky really quick. There’s a new bartender every time I’m there, so either the are fired quickly or the owners have trouble keeping good workers. Either way it doesn’t make for a good experience. They have ridiculous amounts of meat head bouncers, I’d understand if it was actually needed. But there’s no more than 20 people there at anytime unless it’s a pens game. Creates a really bad vibe, especially when the first thing I see is some guy looking at me like he wants a fight. I see the one owner all over town drunk and acting like a fool often. Prices in food have gone up very much so. I wouldn’t mind if they hadn’t also gotten very skimpy. Their sammiches used to blow primantis away, not so much anymore. It’s a shame. This bar really had the potential to be an indiana keystone. Sadly that potential is lost.

Great location and not full of college kids(at least not at 9pm on a saturday). Loved that they had listed next to the draft if it was gluten free. Bonus, they had pumpkin cider on tap! Large bar, and friendly bartender.

Twisted Jimmy’s is a new sports bar in Indiana. Well, not brand new, but for this town, any additions to the downtown bar scene is a big deal. Having lived here during college and for a number of years later on, I always ended up at the same few places, so TJ’s is a welcome addition. The first two positives I noted were the location and the space. Seventh Street is in the dead center of town, so getting to and fro is a cinch(minus the current construction, which will eliminate some prime parking). Plus, it’s right next to Steel City Samiches, which caters a majority, if not all of the bar’s menu, including their famous ‘non-Primanti’s’ large sandwiches. Also, TJ’s space is huge with one bar inside the front door and one large square bar in the back, perfect for watching the Steelers, Penguins or Pirates. I was surprised is was so dead for a Friday Happy Hour, but then again, it is summer and the IUP students are still enjoying summer away from the small town. If you have decent taste in beer, they have one of the most better craft brew selections in the area. But don’t fret; they also have the typical domestic brews if you’re the average local beer drinker or poor, college student. If Jimmy’s would’ve been around back in the day, I probably would’ve added it to the top of my regular list.
