I upon first visiting this vision center I was quite happy. The exam seemed thorough, the selection of frames they had were varied in style and price and the employees seemed polite and helpful. I would have recommended this business to anyone and in fact did. Unfortunately, this opinion has now changed. Several months after my daughter got her glasses they began peeling and the color was coming off. We took them in but we’re told we were wrong but that they would replace the frames anyway. This seemed weird that they would replace something they claimed was not damaged or defective but we’re glad they did. 2 months ago my lenses began falling out of the frames. I took them in to be fixed and was told that they needed replaced as the frames were cut wrong for the frames. I explained that I could not recall go the 10 days they said it would take to replace them so they tried fixing them with lense tape. This held for about a month at which time I also lost a screw from the frame. At this pointi gave them my glasses and they were supposed to have them fixed. When I got my glasses back to my surprise they had given me glasses with completely different colored frames and the frames did not properly fit my face. I had brown frames now I had black frames. The differences in color and size were obvious. I told them this and was immediately told I was wrong they were exactly the same. I again said the color and size were wrong and was again called a liar. I was told these frames only come in one size and 3 colors and the colors are gun metal grey and black. Yes that’s only 2 colors, I said the same thing. I left and went home and with a friend we began looking online at glasses. Within 5 minutes my friend found the exact same glasses as I originally had, larger size and the correct color. I went back with my friend to this business to show these things and after more arguing finally Dr. Heckert herself spoke with me. She also began giving me reasons why I was wrong about everything I was saying. I even held a picture on my phone up to her and said u can clearly see the difference in color and the way they fit on my face, both are different between the pic and what’s on my face. Her response, «yea they look a bit different but I can’t really tell from that angle.» Now anyone who deals with the same thing on a daily basis like she does with glasses should be able to see the differences when I’m standing with the pic next to my head and my head in the same position as in the pic. She deals with glasses every day she should know. Would u trust a mechanic that can’t tell by looking at 2 parts wether they r the same? How about a Dr. That can’t tell if your hands are matching set or a carpenter that can’t see a difference between ¼ in and ¾ in plywood? I even offered the possibility several times to 2 different ppl there including the Dr. That maybe the fault was with the manufacturer not with her office and she still said no I was wrong. I will never ever walk through the doors of this establishment. I also suggest that others look for an eye Dr. That knows the different between black and brown before she makes your brown eyes blue too.

Pros: They are very friendly and very thorough. After an eye exam, they will not pressure you into buying from them. They provide prescriptions on a convenient, plastic covered card to take to a glasses place of your choice if you do not get your glasses or contacts from them. Their prices are good. Cons: Their selection of glasses frames is very limited. I had a great experience getting my eyes checked. Dr. Heckert was nice to talk to and took her time with me so that I didn’t feel at all like a number. She was genuinely personable and helpful with all my questions. I ended up getting my glasses somewhere else because I could not find frames that I liked, but in the future I will return here for my eye exam and contacts. As a contacts wearer, I would have given them five stars. Since I also wanted glasses, I have to give them four stars.
