I was very disappointed to dine here with my co-workers on our last night in the area. There were 6 of us so we got a variety of dishes, most of which were subpar, including the half chicken, salmon, scallops, asparagus, and baked potato. Someone said the bacon wrapped dates were actually good. The pears in my salad looked like they were out of a can, and they use blue cheese instead of Gorgonzola(which was what the menu said). The mixed drinks were surprisingly bad, which is unfortunate. Not sure how you can screw up martinis and margaritas but they did. Usually some good drinks can offset other shortcomings. The people at the piano bar looked like they were having fun; I guess it would be «safe» to do that and have some wine.

Great entertainment with John Stanley King that’s not to be missed, but the food and ambiance in the restaurant were both tired and dated. With so many good places around, it would be hard to justify going there for the food alone. The steak was overcooked and expensive for what it WAS and the menu choices were pedestrian at best. Go for Happy Hour and listen to the great sounds of JSK and you’ll be fine.

Started with the tomato and onion salad — huge chunk of both, but very disappointing(oil and vinegar dressing). Sweet potato fries good, and beet salad nicely presented. Had the ribs and chicken entrée — a large dark mass of meat plopped on a white dish. I would never order this again. Chicken was over cooked and nothing about my meal was memorable nor repeatable. Others in my party ordered the fish special while others had the salmon. Think they liked their choices.

Mixed experience. Happy hour food bland. No good beers. Service good, lounge singers fun. All-in-all, won’t go back.

We experienced Vicky’s of Santa Fe for the first time on Christmas Eve and the experience was far from stellar. Besides being a rather costly prix fixe for the evening, the food portions were pitiful…3 tablespoons of soup in a crock bowl, kale and sweet potato side… you needed a microscope to look for the sweet potato. All in all, it was very deceiving. When we expressed our concerns as a customer to the maitre d, he was incredibly rude to us and told us that we should have gone to the Cliff House. We were dumbfounded at his attitude. I can never give this restaurant a second chance.

This is all you need to know. Our steak was overcooked and unevenly at that — after asking for medium rare. They took the steak back and had the overcooked section cut off and returned the steak. Is that unbelievable? Absolutely abhorrent and I’ve never seen anything like it. Shocking. When the manager was confronted, he acted as if that was appropriate and was confused why I had an issue. He also was confused by my math — same steak minus half equals half a steak. He didn’t seem to think that was a problem. Unapologetic. Unprofessional. Beyond comprehension. And he’s been in this business forever? This place will go under. It will take a while but it will go under. Millennials will not tolerate this. The manager/owner Marc should be ashamed and so too would his family, but his arrogance, in my opinion, is overwhelming and clearly blinding. I get personal because food and money is personal. And I don’t like to be treated like an amateur. Shame on you. You know how to deal with a pissed off client, even one like me, and the fact that you chose to let us remain pissed and didn’t suck it up to apologize and rather decided to hide is unfortunate. Good luck. Trust me. It will end. It’s inevitable.

All night happy hour on Sunday evening. John Stanley King combo was very good, and very real unlike a lot of other«tribute» performers in the area. Inexpensive cocktails, attentive easy going staff and the Crispy Artichoke hearts are incredibly tasty. My wife & I danced, laughed and talked through the night.

My favorite desert spot for entertainment! Love The Carmen’s who perform every Saturday night. Tony and Cynthia are terrific singers and Tony is an amazing guitarist. Great rock and roll and blues music, and a sweet little dance floor. The Carmen’s encourage dancing«dancing is free!» and will play requests. Nice bar food menu with good portion sizes reasonably priced. Service is variable but majority of the time it is spot on. Cozy, classy bar/lounge area with two fireplaces, come, dance eat drink and enjoy!

We have been coming to the Palm Springs area for years and I have wanted to stop into Vicky’s for quite some time. We made it in one evening for dinner and drinks and were honestly pretty underwhelmed with the quality of the food and service. We ended up leaving before the live music started, but I’m sure that would make it a little more lively and fun.

Whenever there is an occasion to celebrate, we do it by going out to dinner at Vicky’s of Santa Fe! I almost always have a hot juicy steak where as my wife can’t turn down the jumbo seafood scallops! To die for! We know that we are always getting top rate service because we always request Melanie to serve us! After dinner we head over to the lounge where we listen to the toe tapping, finger snapping tunes from the one and only John Stanley King! This is always a great night!

Restaurant week is the perfect opportunity to try new places in the Valley that you’ve never tried before. We decided to give Vicky’s a try. We arrived early Sunday evening at about 5:30pm. You walk in the front doors to a large bar. No one to greet you and everyone who walks in seems to be a little lost unless they have been here before. They really could use a greeter to open door and give directions. There was a grand piano and band setting up in the lounge area in a large room to the left of the bar and a dining area on the opposite side of the bar. We looked around at the lounge area and then the dining area and still no one greeted us so we decided to just sit at the bar. The bartender«Faye» cheerfully greeted us and asked for our drink order. We said we hadn’t been here before and she said oh well you’re here for the first time and we have restaurant week. She handed us restaurant week menu, along with a wine list of specials for restaurant week. What a pleasant surprise to have the wine selections that complimented the menu choices. We ordered drinks and contemplated our entrée choices, so many yummy sounding entrees. We ordered and the food was really quick, entrees almost to quick, but it was ok and they were nice and hot. So we had the most amazing poached pear salad & a roasted beet salad, notice we cleaned our plates they were so good. The entrees was the Penne Fulvio with sausage and vodka cream sauce, could have used a little more sauce. And the Salmon Alla Calabrese was perfect and a large portion, I took half of it home, wanted to leave room for dessert. The brioche bread pudding served ala mode, a little dry, maybe a drizzle of bourbon sauce would have done the trick. And the New York cheese cake was divine; I can’t believe I ate the whole thing. YUM! We were in the perfect spot to hear the music, singer was really good although I’m surprised at such a nice place he wore a plain white tee? The rest of the band looked appropriate, even a black Tee would have been better. Maybe he hadn’t picked up his laundry? The only other thing was as mentioned above, people arriving who had obviously never been here to dine like us, had no idea where to go. They all walked in aimlessly trying to figure out where to go. A door greeter would be a perfect addition. And Faye got pretty busy behind the bar by herself, but did an outstanding job. We will be back!

We are here tonight on the bar side of the restaurant at Vicky’s with the Heatwave Jazz & Show Band. The staff is so awesome! Attentive, friendly, and so efficient. I don’t know how they keep it all straight! We are eating off of the bar menu, everything was so good. We had the sliders, ginger shrimp and chicken, spinach dip and shrimp cocktail. I saw some chocolate cake go by, but I just don’t think I’ve got the room! With live music almost every night, you couldn’t ask for a better night out!

Vickys is a great option in the desert, as long as you know go in with the appropriate expectations and order the right items! The menu is very simple. Starters, sides to share, and entrees. You are not going to get any crafty, unique dishes. You get exactly what you order and that’s part of the charm. Order a artichoke for the table, it’s not going to come with bread crumbs or drizzle, it’s going to come as a plain simple artichoke. The same goes for all of the dishes. Plain salmon, plain steak, plain white fish, plain chicken. And you know what? Sometimes that’s nice! I am a big fan of the steak filet and the salmon. For the sides, I recommend the brussels, asparagus and spinach. You really can’t go wrong with any of the veggies. As for potatoes… Now we are talking! Their baked potatoes are huge, and their twice baked potato is incredible. The inside is creamy and flavorful and the outside is crispy and seasoned beautifully! I ate all of the skin off of my potato it was so good! The gratin potatoes are also a delicious addition. All the potato options are more than big enough for 2 – 4 to share. My family is a fan of the apple pie dessert(a la mode of course) and one is big enough for a table of 6! The décor is simple. The service is nothing special. However the food is consultant, straight forward and most importantly tasty. I am a fan!

zzzzzzzz what’s the point? Had the rotisserie chicken and no question it had been cooked a day or two before and reheated. You could see that the rotisserie ovens — next to the microwave — were not even turned on. Bland, chewy and boring. The romaine salad drizzled with store bought balsamic and cheap blue cheese crumbles was fair. Dining room is a tired southwest theme and the carpet was dotted with stains. There was a jazz trio playing to an empty lounge that was kind of embarrassing to watch. Our waitress was charming and efficient. The drinks were strong and the food was bland. It wasn’t that bad except the chicken was pretty tired — just like the entire concept. I can’t see a reason to return.

It pains us say«Give Vicky’s a pass» as it used to be one of our favorite places. It was a special occasion place so there are memories here. We had hoped that the revamped menu would give us a reason to love Vicky’s again, but, we were sadly disappointed. We ordered the seafood specials, which you would think would be fresh and exciting. My halibut($ 36) was good, but not great. The macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi with Thai chili sauce($ 36) was fishy, whatever nut was used was not macadamia nut, and the Thai chili sauce seemed to be missing. We tried the«new» chili lime corn. Seriously, for $ 8 we were served canned corn with a little lime juice. And again, the chili seemed to be missing. Boxed potatoes au gratin are as good as what we were served. And finally, the bread pudding was good, but it was not great, and for $ 8 we got a sliver of pudding and a ½ of a scoop of ice cream. Bread pudding is an inexpensive dessert(it’s mostly stale bread). How much would it cost to be a little more generous? The whole experience felt like a restaurant cutting corners and ripping off the customer to make a few bucks! The building is lovely and they do make a good drink, so we may go to the bar and listen to the music … but I’m afraid we’ve eaten our last dinner at Vicky’s.
