The Arbors Seaside Cottages

When I first saw the photos of this location online, I thought it might be too fancy for our beach cottage wedding. The cottage interiors looked very well appointed, and we just didn’t know what to expect. We called Deanna Dye on the spur of the moment, as we drove by another property she manages in Madeira Beach. She happened to be at Arbors, so we drove over. When she came out to greet us, her hair was tied back, and she was a bundle of energy. We loved her instantly. She was so proud of the property, showing us around the cottages, the lovely garden path lined with tables, and the spacious backyard. Both she and her husband were maintaining the property, re-​staining the deck, re-​covering the couches and pillows, painting walls in the 2-​story house by the road. Though we looked at other properties, some of which were more used to throwing weddings, in the end we decided to go with Arbors, as it seemed both intimate and spacious, exactly what we needed. Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous — all of our guests loved the property, and there was plenty of space for everyone (about 90 guests). We and our friends who stayed on the property with us absolutely loved the warmth that the property evoked, the proximity to the beach (literally ON the beach, but the sand dunes/​seawall give a little privacy to the property). Our friends can’t wait to come back with us and are already talking about saving up for next year. It’s an amazing property and we wished we could be there forever.

The cottages are adorable and right next to a lovely beach but the owner Deanna was extremely rude, insulting and even threatened us. We were shocked at her behavior and will not return.
