Called to warn the manager she has an abusing male working for her that abused my sister who is the bar back there name Jake. A raging alcoholic that hits women and she said «who’s gives a shit». Real nice place paying employees under the table illegally. Don’t ever go here. DISGUSTING people

After a nice, relaxing day at the beach, me, my girlfriend (Megan), my best friend (Chris), and his girlfriend (Michelle), were looking for a place to eat some dinner. A quick search on Unilocal found us Sandbar.
It’s stereotypical of a joint off of the beach: small and definitely local. The people that were there all seemed to know each other. I would have loved a view of the beach, but due to where we were seated (inside, vs. the patio), we didn’t really get that. Oh well.
We were a bit surprised to hear that the bar was out of simple syrup, which kept Michelle from ordering a mojito. Point off for that, as simple syrup is a key bar ingredient, and it’s something that’s very easily made up in the kitchen. That said, our server was highly attentive and friendly, which helps make up for that.
Food-​wise, we each ordered something different. Chris had a Tampa-​Style Cuban, Michelle had a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Megan had a Low Tide Burger, and I had a Buffalo Surfside Chicken. We all had fries with our meals. The only slip-​up was that Megan got a rather measly portion of fries, though this was quickly remedied by our server, who brought out an extra side of fries free of charge.
Portions were huge, and the perfect solution to out hunger. Too bad I don’t live out there, Sandbar would be a favorite place of mine.

Met a local friend here and it was very good. Nice atmosphere. We sat in front of the open front windows. Had small plates and drinks. Nachos and fried goat cheese were both very good.

I had the Buffalo Shrimp (mild) & Cold Beer. My Bartender greeted me as soon as I found a spot at the bar & she was very nice. She recommended a few appetizers for me, which was great. I was there to watch the Cubs vs Mets game & she put on the game for me at my request. The Bartender repeatedly come over to my table to check in on me & bring me my cold beers. I would give this 5 stars but I was a little put off by the women customer smoking inside at this sports bar. All night there was nobody smoking, until the 9^th inning at 1040pm. I am a non smoker & I favor non smoking places. Just my two cents. My tab was under $ 20(not including tip) so prices are very reasonable.

This is a locals divey bar place with a nice patio (although smokers use it.) They have some good deals on food. And most of it was surprisingly tasty.
The siracha decoration on the plates is kind of cool although it doesn’t go with all the foods it is used with. The Baja sauce was EXCELLENT.
Some of the greens we were served were wilted and even rotten black. And the fries, seasoned with garlic salt, were oppresively disgustingly over saltesld to the point where I had to shake it off and get as much on my hands in repeated tries and brush out off numerous times to render it even edible. And it takes some doing to render fries inedible!!! But the fish tacos, grouper sandwich, and $ 5 Cuban we had were all very good. We enjoyed our visit.
This was also one of the few places we could find that allowed dogs (in their patio). Not on the beach but a decent spot for some grub and drinks. Their blender were out of service when we were there unfortunately. I wanted a kale smoothie ;) ;) ;)

Good drink specials, nice staff… Food was just ok. I love animals, but I don’t think they belong in food establishments. There were two dogs running around in the business. Kinda unsanitary.
I must say, this has been my first Unilocal fail.

Dive bar atmosphere and prices but gourmet style food and delicious drinks :) we expected bar food, messy greasy but still delicious lol… And we are so impressed. The burger was huge! And the jalapeño poppers and boneless wings were some of the best I’ve had :) will definitely be making this place one of our regular spots ;)

Arrived with 7 people at the Sandbar at noon on Sunday for lunch. we were told they didn’t know if there would be lunch because the cook did not show up and they could to reach him by phone. Then they said «he’s on his way». so a car pulls up and a woman gets out — we all say «yeah!» and we are totally ignored — turns out it’s the friendly owner!
we had a coupon for appetizers but we were told we had to send a could to get verification — I did and today almost a day later — no code!
The appetizer was good but we decided to have lunch elsewhere — especially after the bartender/​server told us they could not put an orange in the Blue Moon because they were a bar — not a fruit bar!
So our rating is based on all the above — take a chance and see if you like it — but we would not recommend it with all the really good places in the area!
Oh — and whoever posted drink specials — not true — they a $ 3.00 not 41.50
Don’t think it’s going to make it!

The bartenders are awesome (shout out to Scott) and the food was surprisingly great! This place is hard to see from the street, but it’s right next to the surf shop. There’s great specials on drinks and the food is so delicious, especially considering this is a divey bar. Lots of locals so I felt like a regular while I was here. The boneless wings were the best I’ve ever had (and we have some tough critics!) and there were no complaints about anything else! Fab food and fab people!

Great little neighborhood bar. $ 1.50 drafts and $ 5 sandwich specials. Amy the bartender was awesome and knew her beer! 6 of us popped on for a quick lunch and had no complaints at all. Try the lamb gyros and the Sweetwater 420 extra pale ale. Food was freshly prepared, hot and so good. Will definitely be back.

Stopped into Sandbar IRB as an old patron of the predecessor at this location which was Coasters. Coasters had some good Burger Baskets for lunch and the staff was always friendly.
I must say that the great and consistent marketing that the new ownership is doing on Facebook is what brought me back — kudos!
First off, to be honest, the old Coasters always had a feel of being not quite right… A shoestring budget for the basics it appeared, and some standards in the Bathrooms (cleaning etc) that were kinda well, somewhat divey… Some say that adds charm, obviously as an admittedly former regular customer, I must agree.
Now to the new and improved Sandbar IRB.
The remodel and upgrades to the bar and seating I would say are a big success! I came in on a Sunday mid-​day and did not find a huge crowd, but regulars were in and out and the place has the feeling of «Where everyone knows your name» if you are a local and frequent here on a regular basis.
I believe the bartender/​servers name was Leslie and she did a great job keeping up with everyone. I sipped a cold cold draft, enjoyed the much improved air conditioning system, (compared to Coasters) and watched NASCAR on one of the nice flat screen TV’s.
There are daily specials offered here but upon the advice of Leslie I tried the Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and a beer. Seemed like good choice for Sunday Afternoon fare at the beach, and it was.
The food arrived promptly and the Sandwich obviously was freshly prepared. At first glance I thought the size of the Po-​Boy was small as it is not served in the standard New Orleans style Po-​Boy roll, but the meal itself was more than satisfying. If I were to suggest any changes, I might look into a softer more Po-​Boy style roll for this offering but to be honest the succulent shrimp inside., along with the nice remoulade sauce made me forget any nit picking in my mind about the roll fairly quickly.
One thing I want to mention, and I think this is a carry over from the previous establishment… The french fries are, and always have been awesome here! Not limp and chewy, but crisp on the outside with genuine potato goodness on the inside. Come to think of it, this may have been why I kept coming back here before it was the Sandbar, and those fries will bring me back again! (Why is it no one knows how to do this anymore? Old fashioned well cook crispy fries — it’s a mystery, but not at Sandbar IRB.)
I was on my own this day, and as such I enjoyed my simple meal, and a beer or two until my NASCAR race was rained out at Daytona. Leslie bid me adieu as if I were a local, after my settlement of a very reasonable check, knowing that I most likely would be back to see her and enjoy the food and atmosphere at a place that really has improved upon both with new ownership. — Congrats and keep up the great work!

I have been here a few times and always found great music. Bands covered Sublime, The Doors, live entertainment every time I’ve stopped by! They had beer specials Craft beer on tap for $ 3.50 nice selection on tap. I was amazed by the menu, great food for a bar! I love greek food and the grape leaves were amazing! Steak salad, hummus it was all very good. Will be a regular spot for me! One thing would be nice if the music could be outside as well. I suspect a sound ordinance.

Service and food were wonderful. Our waitress made the experience very enjoyable. She was friendly, accommodating and attentive. Food was very good. Fish was fresh and flavorful.

Heather, the owner, & Leslie, the best waitress, invited us to an Easter lunch pitch in. What a great day! They’re the best!

What I expected from this little neighborhood bar on IRB is the usual bar food, nothing special. The food was far better than I expected. I have tried most of their menu items and they are all fantastic. They offer Daily specials and a very friendly staff. The only rub is the place is very «rustic» and they need to have their bathroom remodeled. Give them a shot if you are driving up Gulf Blvd. They offer the NFL ticket and that is how I found them.
