Visiting the area and went here based on Unilocal reviews. The place is like a Chipotle, but way better. Food was unreal and the price was dirt cheap. Will definitely be back.

Lots of food for a great price, and daily specials. The food was made fresh to order, will all fresh and authentic ingredients. Since it was Tuesday we had two for one burritos, which came with homemade chips and salsa. We had a large order of really great guacamole, substantial amount for five adults, for only five dollars. The servers were helpful in explaining the menu, and the food was prepared quickly. If your looking for a fun, fresh, casual meal this is the place.

We LOVED this place! We were skeptical at first because of the way it looked– but we are soooo glad we tried it! It is cheap, delicious, and the people serving it were very nice! We are on vacation but we will definitely go back! There was a little ice cream shop next door too which I highly recommend!

Food quality was average. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was geared for small groups, and young adults. Parking was tight.

Delicious!!! Not super authentic but just right!!! The nachos were huge! We should have just shared. I got the burrito with shredded beef it was also delicious. We came in our swim suits with cover up and it was fine it is kinda like chipotle where you order and they make it and you pick a table to sit at! Very good!

So incredible. My husband and I decided to spend a day by the beach and came across this little gem. Seriously incredible fresh food. It reminded me of an incredible version of chipotle with options of what u want to create your ideal meal, only it’s even fresher and the taste is explosive. You can get mild or super spicy and it definitely doesn’t disappoint Oh and did I mention Wednesday’s are bogo with burritos?

Wet burrito was awesome and a great deal at $ 8. My baby daughter had an off the menu mini-quesadilla for $ 2.50. Fair prices and good food if you like tex-mex, burritos, tacos, nachos. It was good enough that I came back the next day for more. Small dining room, but good for kids and families.

This is a fantastic place to get fresh, homemade Mexican food! The portions are huge and everything is very flavorful! The folks working are friendly and helpful even if you don’t know what you want. This is a must stop if you are at Indian Rocks Beach or close by.

we chose to go to Jake’s for dinner based on its high recommendation on Unilocal and were not disappointed! Jake’s food is made-as-you order, paying at the counter; they have dine-in or take-out options. I ordered a burrito bowl with mahi– they have a huge variety of fresh topping options as well– I went with pico de gallo, onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce, and chipotle ranch. Our group got a large side of guac to split with freshly made chips. The staff at Jake’s are super friendly and accommodating– they told us if we ran out of chips to come on back and they’d give us some more. All the food was fairly priced and the portions were large– we all left stuffed. We were all very impressed with how fresh and delicious our meals were! Definitely will stop by Jake’s again before we leave Indian Rocks.

A very simple looking restaurant hat serves the BEST Mexican food(burritos, salads, tamales, etc). Come over, have a beer and eat great food! And then go next door for ice cream for dessert.

I have to confess, out of the 10+ times I’ve eaten here, I’ve never gotten anything besides tacos. And why would I? They are delicious! The meat is always juicy and flavorful, and they are very generous with the toppings. And to top it all off, on Saturdays they have $ 2 tacos. The atmosphere is very laid back and casual, which is exactly what I would expect from a taco joint near the beach. When you walk in the door, get in line at the counter, and order a taco(or 2 or 3…). You can pick from soft shell or hard. Then pick your meat(the chicken is my favorite). And then pick your toppings. It is kind of like a sub/burrito place in that you get to watch them making it and you see all the toppings to pick from. In addition to toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onions, salsa, etc, they also have a bunch of sauces. I highly recommend trying the cilantro sauce. Yum! Then pay and take your tacos to the next room over and enjoy! If you’re ever in the area, Jake’s should be a must-stop for some very fresh tacos in a laid-back atmosphere.

Yummy food, unpretentious but cheerful place. You won’t leave hungry! You can customize your toppings and make your selection as spicy or mild as you wish. We chose the naked burritos and were very happy with the flavor and freshness. They sell beer by the bottle too.

Where on earth did the tofu go? I liked it blackened. Also please make guacamole fresh. It would really elate the dining experience and provide better, healthier, tasty options for all especially vegetarians.

You know one of those restaurants that you keep going to over and over again for its fresh and yummy food that’s made quickly and is cheap? Well, Jake’s Cantina makes my list of «those» restaurants. Jake’s Cantina is tucked at the corner of Gulf and Walsingham and is not only next to Crabby Bill’s but is in fact owned by them. This is apparent as soon as you realize that the folks behind the counter are wearing Crabby Bill’s t-shirt. This is probably a very clever idea on their part as when the clock hits midnight, the drunks from Crabby Bill’s will come floating in to the smells of Mexican food. We usually go on Saturday when it’s $ 2 taco ala carte(no free chips anymore). On any other day, the tacos are $ 6 and come with chips. The best thing about getting tacos is all the customizing that you can do to them. I ordered 1 each of chicken and pork tacos and got the following toppings: tomatoes, onions, cilantro, fresh jalapenos, spicy verde, lime, and cilantro cream sauce. Jake’s does not skimp on the meat or the toppings and the 2 tacos were more than enough for a nice lunch. One sad thing about the $ 2 ala carte tacos is that Jake’s used to provide free chips but whatever reason they got greedy and stopped serving free chips :(. I hope they don’t start increasing their prices or get rid of specials since this is the main draw of this place.

Place is awesome. If you like Mexican… Burritos are made to order, so if you don’t like it you picked he wrong stuff. Only downside is this is a take-out place or quick serve. No table service and the AC can be a little spotty.

This is our third visit here and we are always impressed! The food is fresh and well prepared. The portions are huge and everyone leaves satisfied! The staff is friendly and courteous. This is becoming one of our families favorite places. Check out the weekly specials they help a family on a budget! Friday’s nachos are the best!

Jake’s has become a taco tradition for us. Its location, a little stretch south of Clearwater Beach, makes it feel like you stumbled on a hidden treasure when you walk in the door– and you have! The food is all so fresh! We haven’t ventured out to try anything but the tacos yet but when you find something you love it’s hard to get anything else. The mahi mahi & garlic shrimp are two of our favorites. Once you choose the meat you are able to choose from an assortment of(fresh and delicious) toppings. The sauces and salsas are all very yummy as well. Anyway, top it all of with a Corona and head back to the beach. Don’t miss Jake’s the next time you’re in the area!

Awesome! This is by far our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The wait is sometimes a little long but it’s well worth the wait. The quality and quantity of food you get for the price is amazing! I have had the chicken quesadilla both times we came here and it is so yummy! Brandon had the wet burrito the first time and a quesadilla the next time, both with the fresh fish which he really enjoyed. There are plenty of topping options and their salsa and queso are amazing! Highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back.
