Doubles Beachside

I have been a doubles fan since I was a child. Now I bring my kids here. I would give this place 5 stars just because I’ve been coming here for 20 something years but, someone is getting sloppy. My hoagie was fine but my daughter ordered the nachos with chili and cheese.
The chips were super stale and literally in crumbs. Is this how they come or did I just pay $ 6 for the bottom of the bag? It really ticks me off. You have bunch of teenagers working there who probably just don’t care. And if your employees don’t care, the food is going to get bad and people will stop coming. I hope someone who does care actually reads this and looks at the picture I’m attaching. Detail is important, quality if important. What happened to Doubles?

This is a local favorite and it’s apparent by the clientele inside. I had heard many good things about this place and a friend got me a salad from here once, so I felt like it was time to give it a try.
First and foremost the parking isn’t great. Parking lot is full of potholes and I was worried about popping a tire before I even got into the place. The inside is huge as there were at least two bars, a gaming area and a giant condiment station in the middle of the place. The place looks a little dated and reminds me of a cafeteria a tad. Still not bad, but could definitely be improved.

Ordering was pretty simple. Give your order, get a number, then get your food. Here is where most of my issues with Doubles began. As I said before, this place is fairly popular which means there actually weren’t many places to sit. When we did find one, it was pretty apparent that no one had wiped ot down in awhile. I looked for other tables with the same exact result. So, I wasn’t overly excited about that. The Burrito I purchased, the name escapes me, was basic. Nothing fantastic about it at all, it was bland and lacked anything special about it. The onion rings seemed like they were just frozen onion rings, but there’s no way for me to know.

I won’t go on. For all the positive things I’ve heard about this place, I actually think that it’s only a favorite because it’s been around. If it were anywhere else, people might call it glorified cafeteria food in a similar environment and leave it at that.
If you have a bunch of hungry kids or are in a rush like on lunch break from work, or are simply passing by I can see Doubles being a good idea. However, you won’t catch me trying to go here again.

Classic Brevard county food, its been around for a long time and will stay around for a long time. Their wraps are the best as well as most everything they serve here. Service is timely and food is always in quality condition. There are tons of cool arcade games to boot at this awesome sports pub. Make sure to stop by after the beach!

I grew up with this place in the early to mid 90’s and was the go to spot and it was so good. I get back to town once a year and always make sure to get back here and it’s as good as I remember. See you in February Doubles!

I have been here multiple times, and all I can say is BEST CHICKEN TENDERS EVER. I cannot speak on behalf of any other menu item because I cannot separate from the juicy chicken and perfectly seasoned waffle fries. Great place to stop after a long day at the beach, or just a casual meal. I always leave full and satisfied. Worth the wait at lunch hour.

Went there for lunch with my daughter the food and service was excellent. The girl who took our order Kailey was very nice, friendly, funny and courteous. If you haven’t tried it yet you must absolutely delicious.

Someone needs to train these kids how to listen.
Someone also needs to train these kids how to prepare chicken wings so that they are not DRIED OUT when you get them. The worst ever!!!

I was introduced to Doubles about 15 years ago and whenever I visit my hometown, I make sure to get a ham and provolone sub on white bread. This is the ONLY place where I will order a ham sub. For some reason, the ham that other sub-​making-​restaurants use is not appealing to me. Also, Doubles somehow tucks the other ingredients inside the ham slices and use a great, herbed oil on top of their subs. Besides subs, Doubles had great «Raquet (waffle)» fries, soups, salads, etc. It’s a great family and friend hangout and they have pool tables and plenty of flat screen TV’s to watch whatever sports game is on at the moment. For a more adult experience, Doubles has an adjoining tiki bar that has a relaxed, beachy atmosphere and live music.

This place is a small breakfast joint that my s. o & I frequent… it’s kind of our thing!

Very disappointing salads. Got the greek salads, large which were far from a meal portion. The salad was supposed to be greek but it had iceburg lettuce chopped, no sprouts as stated on the menu and the greek olives were black olives, not kalamata. Spent $ 15.00 and was worst salad ever. Will not be back. And I had to ask for the table to be cleaned. Every table had been eaten at and never wiped.

Great sandwiches, fresh and tasty. Seems family friendly too, tons of families here. Also a cool spot for a drink, with a bar inside and a tiki-​ish bar outside (live music on weekends)

Simple lunch spot down the road from my office. It tends to be frequented by the locals a lot.
They have lunch specials every day and I feel they vary in value. Monday’s chicken tenders are a bit small for the price, I waited a long time for it, and the sauces were no different than fast food. Tuesday’s burger special is their most popular special, and is really good. You can also get double meat with it for just a bit more! I feel Wednesday’s cheesesteak special is a bit overpriced for what you’re getting — they aren’t really true Philly cheesesteaks, but rather more like pizza steaks of basic hoagie rolls. Thursday’s half Ace (italian) hoagie is pretty good. The Friday BBQ special is a bit underwhelming as it’s just pork simmered in sauce on a bun, but still good for the price.
They also have a full bar with plenty of TVs. Overall a good lunch place with (mostly) reasonable prices.

Very good food at a good price. Little louder atmosphere w. Kids in the area w a few video games and pool tables. Good spot to watch sports. Spinach salad w grilled Mahi is excellent. Give the kids a handful of quarters to play games grab a beer and a great sub or wings and watch the games on Sunday.

Love this place! 2 pool tables, TVs two bars one side only for adults with live entertainment. Food is always very good.

Doubles is one of my go to places for lunch. Its nothing special yet I enjoy spending my lunch break here. Simply put its inexpensive and usually pretty quick. They have a lunch special for each day of the week along with some sandwich and salad options. I don’t think there is anything on the menu that costs more than $ 8. After you place your order at the counter find a seat and they will call your name when your food is ready. Be patient as it can get very busy at lunch

This is a favorite spot for a casual meal. There’s a good menu and the prices are more than fair. I usually grab a burger and fries or a grilled fish (mahi) sandwich, but the salads and sandwiches are options. It’s got a sports bar and family vibe, and in the evening there’s happy hour and live entertainment.

I went a few months ago on a friday for the BBQ special. It was ok. Place is quite dated… the springs were busted in the seat of the booth. Self serve place. Fries were good. BBQ was ok. Great price for the meal If u want a real BBQ sandwich, spend $ 1 more and go to Duke’s. on a scale of 1 to 10. Doubles sandwich was a 6. Duke’s a 10. Doubt I will go back to Doubles. Too many other options in the area.

Great family place. Awesome, stuffed cold cut sandwiches. Delicious, home-​grilled tasting burgers, and killer waffle fries.
Wish we lived closer but we make the drive from north Merritt Island quite frequently

Love this place! Great food and customer service! The grilled chicken salad is awesome! Lots of different choices. The burger and fries are a great deal!

Casual, laid-​back atmosphere and good food. I have only been here for lunch, and only on Tuesdays due to that day’s special. The special is a cheeseburger, waffle fries, and a drink, all for nice and tidy $ 5 even. Tell me where you can get that nowadays? I’ll tell you, here at Doubles!
If you want to play pool or pinball, and NOT smell like an ash tray, this is the place to come. You don’t even have to feel weird if you decide to drag your small brood along, it’s family friendly. They also have an outdoor «tiki bar» which is a full bar (21+ & up), with live music on certain evenings, definitely worth the time to check out.
