Clean city & beach but public bathrooms on Boardwalk were unsanitary & disgusting, otherwise would have been 4 – 5 stars. Good pizza & icecream places nearby with better bathrooms. No driving on the beach, metered parking lot.

There is nothing like starting the day off by walking along these beautiful beaches. This community has friendly residents that often greet you with a smile during their morning runs, rides or as they relax watching sunrises.

Choice spot. Would be better with a bigger boardwalk, more restaurants, shopping, more like Vero, i.e., less condos, it is really quaint and nice though.

I prefer coming to the Melbourne Beach-Indialantic Boardwalk since it is less crowded than the other popular beaches in the Atlantic coastal regions of Central Florida. It’s a pretty clean beach, their some restaurants on the location of the boardwalk if you need a bite to eat or need to use the bathroom facility. They are coin taking parking meters on the boardwalk too, so make sure you set your personal timer to prevent getting a ticket from local law enforcement officers. The waves are rough, but acceptable for surfers or boogie boarders.

Spent $ 2,000 for my vacation and could not enjoy the beach. The sand was as hot as fire! It was also hard to walk in as the only hard packed sand was right at the water. The ocean is very deep immediately with no shallow area to walk out into. The waves were rough and crashing right onto shore instead of lapping. There had been a recent tropical storm way off but that sent tons of seaweed into shore. There is a great area of seaweed that is off shore about 100 miles and when there is any disturbance tons of seaweed is sent in to shore. Fishing was a mess for my husband due to the seaweed. I won’t go back to Indiatlantic Beach. I could have spent less on the west coast and had a beautiful, cool sand beach with no seaweed.

No shirt, no shoes, no problems. There is nothing like a few days at the beach to set the world right. I can’t understand how anyone can complain about a beach this beautiful. No calls, no computer, no meetings. Sand on your feet, sun on your head, nothing on your mind except … nothing. The biggest decision involves what to do this afternoon: Read? Walk on the beach? Swim in the ocean? Nap? All of the above? People come here for the beach in its most basic sense – that wonderful place where the land meets the sea and the sea reaches out to the sky. The approach is simple: Sit down and enjoy it. This town’s name is a portmanteau derived from the town’s location between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. Indialantic offers many recreational opportunities for everyone. On any given day you’ll see surfers, swimmers, sun bathers, runners, walkers and bicyclists enjoying this recreational resource.

This is one of the few beaches beachside that has a parking lot open past sunset. You do have to keep feeding the meters, but parking here is open until 1:30am. I like to dub this place lover’s lane, since that’s pretty much the crowd you see here past 9pm, but everyone still keeps it clean. There are some eating establishments nearby, like Wendy’s or Bizarro’s Pizza, and parking is fairly decent during the off-months.

It’s a nice beach, but we got onto the beach about noon and there was trash and blankets left over from the evening before, which is yukky. I would think the city would at least have someone in by noon to clean up the trash. Oh, well. It was a nice day anyway. More of a local beach. Parking meters are coin-operated and it’s $ 1/hr.

Best leave before 3 to 4 pm, or get caught in the rain. Typical Florida. I grew up on the Gulf coast of Florida, so all the beaches I visit are compared to that standard. During the hot summer months, the Atlantic feels great, but as you get closer to the«winter» months of Florida, I’d rather just soak my feet on the beach, but only if I feel like feeling cold. The sand is dirty IMO. I’m use to white sandy beaches. My friends all love it, but they’re from the New England and they don’t really have any beaches. I guess it’s a matter of perspective, but for me, it’s alright. Good, cheap place to clear my thoughts.

Although I’m not a Florida native, I love Florida beaches, just not too fond of this one. I’m used to clear and warm water. Unfortunately, the water here was dirty and I wasn’t even trying to go in. Besides, my boyfriend isn’t much of a beach person anyway. We just walked along the shore watching the seagulls bob for treats swept up by the tide. Overall, it was a nice way to spend a quick hour on a lazy Saturday.

If you like any or all of the following, this beach is for you: –Cockroaches –Stray cats –Metered parking –Mean homeless people –Crowds –Tourist trap surf shops –Smelly seaweed –Trash everywhere I literally have no idea why anyone goes there, other than sheer convenience. Brevard County has some beautiful beaches. This ain’t one of them.

This may be the last beach around here that gives you that chilled out«beach bum» feeling. Thankfully, the beach and boardwalk area has survived the condo boom that inflicted other beaches north of here, nicely retaining its true boardwalk feel. Tons of parking is available and a variety of restaurants(from Wendy’s to local eateries) are just steps away as well.

In my opinion Indialantic offers the best beaches in Brevard County. They are uncrowded with nice sand and cooling sea breezes most afternoons. The mornings at sunrise are especially lovely and special(if you are a morning person) allowing one to reflect on the days ahead. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Chasin’ Indialantic Rainbows As I ambled along the sands of Indialantic-by-the-Sea the winter sun slowly warmed my thoughts to a gentle simmer patiently I awaited the revelation destined for me if I could bide its time … Yes, there it emerges now, a wondrous sight … a rainbow arched over my track beautifully and symmetrically formed breath taking in its parabolic perfection I jogged steadily towards the illusion being very careful to not change my pace as I knew that a touch too fast with impatience or a bit too slow with feigned indifference would shatter the image ahead … What lies beyond my rainbow I muse… I cautiously approached the spectrally coloured bands nearly close enough to caress the misty phenomena to soak my soul within its secret knowledge … I cautiously await the unknowns to be revealed then just as I perceived approval to break on through Poof! Out of my grasp again the silent wispy bands dissolved into their own space just close enough to tease me with an undiscovered insight … I sighed my daily sigh then turned my back on the meaning of life …
