Super friendly cashier at this store that has an impressive stock of Non-GMO, organic, gluten free, etc products! Prices seem fair. The ready to eat section looked appetizing, though the fresh produce area I was smaller than I expected, However that encourages me to frequent the farmers markets, so perhaps it’s not as problematic as it could be. A nice surprise: I scored some good clearance items with plenty of shelf life, and they have the largest variety of my favorite organic ice cream(Alden’s) that I’ve ever seen. Whoohoo! Trust me: the Alden’s blackberry is Amazing!!! Their calendar of events is interesting and I intend to return often. I’m so happy to see this store near me.

So I’ve been there three times in two years… and don’t get me wrong, it is a nice shop with nice organic and natural products. It is clean, bright, has quite a nice bit of variety on pretty much everything. It reminds me a lot of the small shops and supermarkets in CA. Which is nice… but it is SOEXPENSIVE! Everything is a buck or two more than other places(Same products in the HyVee organic aisles, or Green Acres Market). I would much rather shop at Green Acres than go to NP for everyday groceries… but if it is something they do not have, then yes, Natures Pantry will do. If you have the money, go for it! It’s def. nice! But if you are in some sort of budget and want to eat more consciously, skip it, go other places, and shop here just for the hard to find products.

We need more health food grocers and in the Lee’s Summit/Independence Missouri area, there’s none better than Nature’s Pantry. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly – and there is no shortage of help. One of their biggest assets is their bulk section, which contains a wide array of spices, herbs, teas, nuts/seeds, etc.(larger than other health food stores in the area). If I could change a couple of things, I would change the size and layout of the produce section, increase the offerings of affordable organic meats and I would encourage them to build other locations throughout the area. Still, their recent annex prepared food section is absent anywhere else in the area and a great addition. Highly recommend!

Nature’s Pantry opened up a café with panini’s, a salad bar and breakfast. All organic goodness. The café offers different kinds of breads, gluten free bread options. I ordered a Thai sweet chile tofu panini. I didn’t want vegetarian, but it caught my eye. I ordered it gluten free. There are drinks to choose from, and gluten free snacks as well. The salad bar has organic vegetables, some fruits, nuts, salads they make in the store, and soups. You could also buy something in the store, and buy a sandwich from the deli. There is indoor seating, with a t.v. and a fireplace. There is outdoor seating, as well. They have chicken, turkey and vegetarian choices. I think there’s about 8 or 9 choices on the menu. The breakfast menu is plentiful as well. This is the best thing for this area. Gluten free panini’s? Subway and Qujizno’s can’t beat that.

LOVEIT! Nature’s Pantry is the best place a «selection» of quality products. I’m glad so many of the big grocery stores are starting to carry more natural and organic but they have so limited selection and they are missing SO many things. With there wide selection you are able to get what you need and even«shop» around the store instead of being forced into one product! They have monthly sales that make the pricing much more competitive too! Nature’s Pantry has everything you need to prepare whole meals… even down the cleaning of the kitchen afterwards. The only complete health food store in my opinion! This is where we send all of our clients to shop. Better for the environment, the animals, the farmer, and the now you!

First of all, whoever left the«zero» star is ridiculous. You are talking about the supplements, not Natures Pantry. Talk dirty to the supplement manufacturers. Second of all, I know all the employees and know 100% sure that nobody would ever disrespect someone by calling them fat and not eating right!

If the«Health Food» section at your neighborhood grocery store is only twenty square feet of vitamins and Kashi products or even, only one paltry shelf tucked back in a lonesome corner with a few granola bars and prune juice, may I introduce you to Nature’s Pantry in Independence, MO. While it is not truly huge, it is about as close to a real supermarket as I have found in the area that offers a much wider selection of alternative brands for people who have certain specific food needs. A close family member has long had allergies to corn, soy, peanuts and wheat. When I had to cook for them several years ago, I found out that corn was used to coat the insides of tin cans and paper milk cartons in many of our regularly purchased brands. At that time, the only alternative was to shop at expensive Health Food stores. Although some of this has changed over the years, it can still be a challenge to find certain products available in a lot of regular grocery stores. Now days, I have family members who must avoid gluten. Nature’s Pantry has one of the very best selections of gluten-free products in our area including cake and brownie mixes, ready to eat snacks, baking mix for making bread, frozen food items and the list goes on. There are whole sections in the store set aside for bulk food items such as grains, dried fruits, spices. A great selection of different brands of vitamin and mineral supplements and holistic and alternative medicine remedies and well as alternative cleaning products and cosmetics and beauty products without harmful additives. My reasons for going to Nature’s Pantry include getting Almond and Cashew Butter and picking up a package of Jack’s(vegan) Tamales in the frozen food case and dried fruit such as candied ginger and Turkish apricots. But I almost always find a few other things to tempt me while I am there.

Great for Gluten-Free. I live way on the other side of the State Line. I’m about an hour drive from Nature’s Pantry and it’s worth the drive for what they offer. They have a fantastic selection of Gluten-Free products I cannot find anywhere else. They also have great sales. I’m able to try products I would not buy at another store because they are cheaper at Nature’s Pantry. The selection is amazing, even if the store is not as big as a Whole Foods. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. The fresh fruit and vegetable selection is slim, but unique. The deli has gluten-free options and I was able to purchase a sandwich. I highly recommend Nature’s Pantry if you are tired of the same old selection at your local Health Food Store. It’s fun to explore here.

I love walking into Nature’s Panty. The smell relaxes me and I love to just browse the store no matter how many times I’ve been there. I started shopping there for good vitamins and homeopathics — which they have a terrific selection. Many brands and their staff is informed and can help find what you need. I’ve been a member for several years so that you get a bit of a break at the check out and a flyer each month. I have favorite items that I do pick up there regularly that you cant get in the health food sections at other local groceries(though Hyvee is expanding that section quickly). They also offer seminars that I have not taken advantage of but always look well attending. Their vege selection is pretty expensive and I’ll hit Bad Seed or even Hyvee instead of purchasing here. Great helpful staff, good variety! Lots of gluten free options. Looking for an alternate food option — try it.

I am in love with Nature’s Pantry. And this is saying a LOT since I absolutely despise grocery shopping. But this place is phenomenal. Consider the shopper(a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, pretty much intolerant of multiple foods person)…and know that if you have ANY special food needs, they will be met at this store. I live no where NEAR Nature’s Pantry. But I am willing to make the drive. They have products that I cannot find anywhere else in town. I have found things I only knew about online via British food bloggers, or at an awesome grocery store in Portland. The staff is incredibly nice & helpful. And the prices are even good. I can find things here that I have bought in the past elsewhere for a lower price. It just amazes me. I have driven out to the store specifically to listen to speakers. Last week I attended both a Celiac seminar, AND got to try some delicious food samples, as well as eat & learn from Hilary of Local Burger(who also was a speaker). Every customer experience I have had at this store has been above average. I always walk out of there HAPPY, which is the complete opposite of a normal grocery store experience(normally stress & frustrating are present). They offer a Pantry shopper card, & mail out a lovely monthly sale calendar, too. And every single month I find that I want to buy at least 80% of what is on sale.

As a vegetarian, gluten-free and raw foods enthusiast, I’m in love with this place. Now, I need to be honest here, I just discovered Nature’s Pantry a couple of months ago, as up until then I refused to drive all the way to Independence for groceries(I live on the Plaza). However, after realizing they were the only store in the KC area that carried Sea Tangle(kelp noodle) products, I decided to make the drive. Holy Batman! I was so impressed with not only the selection, but the sales and specials! Even their bulk prices were a couple dollars under Whole Foods and/or Green Acres. I also was impressed with the frozen gluten-free selection — It absolutely blows Whole Foods away — How great is that?! Since I do live far away, I also like that I’m able to log onto their website and download their specials for the month(I like monthly specials as opposed to weekly). This way, I can map out what I need ahead of time. And, I’m able to send it to my grandma, since I do a lot of her grocery shopping as well. I can’t comment on the produce section, as I get most/all of my produce from a co-op. Basically, it has become my new favorite grocery store in the KC area — But, I still hate trekking all the way out to Independence :(

This place is like a local Whole Foods heaven. I will gladly support this location over the chain any day, as they really do have everything I would ever get from Whole Foods but don’t contribute to «THEMAN» … at least the Whole Foods Man. Anyway, this place is huge with a huge parking lot and lots to offer… about a third of the store is gluten-free, most of the rest of the place is is either organic or vegetarian. They also have TONS of vitamins and supplements, in addition to a good selection of seeds and greeting cards. Though you can find a good deal of what this store carries at any local Hy Vee, the breadth of the selection at Nature’s Pantry far exceeds any regular grocery chain. My favorites: Tofurkey products(including Tofurkey pizza!); Annie’s dry-goods, frozen tofu burritos; and the sale section in the back :)

Nature’s Pantry has a surprisingly decent selection of dry goods, frozen goods, natural care items, and more! They carry almost everything I need to get me through my huge dry-goods stock up trips to Whole Foods. I am consistently impressed by their knowledgeable staff, selection of vegan goods, and selection of sprouted breads. I only wish they had a better produce selection, cuz frankly it’s pretty disappointing. HyVee has nearly the same size organic area, so this is a disappointment. They have a discount card which is a great investment if you planning on shopping often at all! I highly recommend this place, and love that it’s not a huge chain.

I love this place. Faves: organic everything, including chocolate, skincare products, veggies and fruits, snack foods, drinks, cleaning products, etc., large selection of vegetarian/vegan stuff, yummy all-natural versions of products you use all the time anyway, only without the junk(instant noodles, bottled ice tea, etc.). Every time I’m there I find some new fun thing, whether it’s some neato concoction(like the Adina Lavender Lemonade I found last time) or a handy convenience(like the Amy’s vegetarian frozen dinners — my freezer is always stocked with the Indian ones and the pesto tortellini!). And every time I go, I pick up a Chocolove chocolate bar — they’re my favourites and are wrapped in love poems. :)

Wow, I hate to do this and review a place without even going there, but from the web site, it looks like an amazing place. It reminds me of a coop, but it’s in missouri? The place looks huge, and they have tons of bulk items, even dried herbs. Check out their selection and prices at
