My husband and I stopped in yesterday and bought one of the cakes she had in the cooler. We had never been there are it was our anniversary. Very cute place and very friendly staff, but we cut a piece when we got home and the cake was very dry. I thought maybe it was because it had been refrigerated so we put it in one of my Tupperware cake holders and left it out for several hours and still very dry and tastes like it was frozen. I really wanted to love it, but for $ 20, I won’t be going back. I was really disappointed :(

Definitely will not be going back. The atmosphere is nice and feels«homey.» This bakery is in a cute cottage and as you walk in the door, are greeted immediately. My fiancé and I are expecting our first baby, and had an idea to do a gender reveal to our families via cupcakes. Long story short, the cupcakes needed to look identical from the outside, but one being pink and one being blue on the inside. The owner told us that it wouldn’t be a problem. The day prior to our reveal we went to pick up our order. One was chocolate iced and one was vanilla on the outside and on top of that, she had marked on the cupcake wrappers which ones were which. This completely defeated the purpose of our reveal and left us in a time crunch to figure out a new reveal, and went against our plan that we had discussed initially. Had we known that our simple request could not be met we wouldn’t have even bothered and gotten generic, much cheaper cupcakes elsewhere for our families.

Home-cooked gooey pies and cakes, perfectly baked spritz cookes, the usual and unusual flavors — - all at a price cheaper than to make it yourself. Need more motivation to visit? How about scones, sticky buns, orange rolls, Hawaiian bread, pumpkin rolls, biscuit and gravy breakfast, or home made soups? YUM! Call ahead if you set on one thing as the menu changes constantly. Owner/baker is lovely and provides excellent service. Wish she were closer to DC
