Every time I have been in the service is friendly and helpful and the cupcakes are really good, nice to have a dessert option after going to T’s

I really wanted to love this place. I like to support a locally based business, but once again I brought home stale cupcakes. $ 7.50 for two cupcakes that are inedible. This was my 3rd and final visit. I’m done.

Very friendly staff. Cupcakes tasted fresh and delicious. Batch is kid friendly too. There is a big chalkboard wall where children can draw and the tables are chalkboard tops also. They serve organic cookies, coffee and have a selection of gluten free and paleo cupcakes in addition to their incredible flavors.

I’ve gone here too many times to be proud of. Their service tanked about a month into operations. One time I went in, one of two people in the store, and wasn’t even acknowledged. After 2 – 3 awkward minutes I left without any treats because I had food waiting in the car. Another time I went in an one girl was hula hooping in the middle of the store. She quickly got out of the way and sat in the corner while I approached the counter. The girl sitting crosslegged on the stool at the counter was busy coloring. Yes, she had crayons/pencils and was coloring. She looked up, smiled and said«hi» then resumed coloring. I swear to God I am not making this up. She didn’t ask me if she could help, if I knew what I wanted, if I wanted to color too, nothing. I was prepared to buy 15 cupcakes to celebrate my own birthday at work, but again I left empty handed. I finally ventured back in for a colleagues birthday, and bought a dozen cupcakes for a good $ 30+ Everyone in the office stated the cupcakes were stale, and the frosting too sweet. I saw at least 3 – 4 partially eaten pastries in the garbage later. Pretty sad that people wished I bought a cake from Raley’s instead. Not surprised their Squaw store closed, and I wonder what will go in this space next. Can’t imagine they will build a big fan base with repeat customers.

Open for just about a month, Batch is still trying to get its foot in the door in this small town. As a local, I appreciate new options for anything to eat and try. What was here before and didn’t survive was a small Mexican panaderia and bakery. Before that was a little antiques shop(in which I never ever saw a single customer). I’d just had lunch at T’s and was craving something a bit sweet, so I popped in here and picked up 2 organic chocolate chip cookies @ $ 2 each. I just finished one and it was delish. Yay yay yay. Everything is made to order, so you won’t find a huge selection but what they probably have looked really tasty. They offer vegan and paleo items too. Make sure you start using one of their cards where you’ll get stamped for purchases towards earning a free cupcake. They have a few tables set up but half the shop looks like wasted space. Here’s what I would suggest. Offer free wifi, get a coffee bar going, a used comfy sofa and sofa chairs, and make it a place where people will spend a bit of time and money to eat and drink and chat and relax. I wish them luck!
