The food was so-so. I did enjoy the pork fried rice. Nothing special here, but there is a lot of food to choose from on the menu, so come if you’re hungry. Also, I believe that prices could be cheaper for the quality. My order was messed up(I called over the phone) and I had to go back to pick up the correct items — for pick up or whatnot — mistakes can happen In your orders.

After finally calling to confirm that this is the same place that used to be called Asian Noodles Too, I went in and ordered to-go! Quick and friendly service! Sri Lankan? Not so much. My husband had the chicken noodle phở and enjoyed it. I had the curry chicken and was satisfied as well! The salad rolls were just ok but too much lettuce to shrimp ratio! Looking for a little something more but ok overall.

Ok I already have low standards for Asian food in the Tahoe area and I hafta say, they just got a little lower. First off, location has changed it’s now in the Christmas Village Shopping Center. Secondly, this place should not be billed as a Sri Lankan restaurant seeing as nothing on the menu was Sri Lankan, this place is all Chinese and Vietnamese food. Now where the Chinese food is concerned, stay far, far away! The Vietnamese fare is actually pretty good. We ordered the Wor won ton soup, beef chow fun, and flame broiled pork with imperial rolls. The Wor won ton soup was clearly made with the same broth they use for phở, and the won tons were few and very small. Next came the pork and imperial rolls over noodles and those were good, the imperial rolls were crispy and tasty and the pork was incredibly flavorful, it was definitely the dish that made me give this place two stars instead of one. Lastly came the beef chow fun… when I took a single scoop and the smell of garlic hit me in the face, I knew it was gonna suck. Who fucking dumps shit loads of garlic into beef chow fun, give me a fucking break! Just thinking about it makes me want to give this place one star… but I’m being generous as there are so few Asian restaurants and I’d like to believe if I had ordered more on the Vietnamese side it woulda been better. I would be persuaded to try this place again but definitely no Chinese!

Indu makes a killer red velvet cake and apple pie. I went in there for the first time today looking for a key-lime pie, unfortunately the ingredients were out of season so I decided to go with a few other of Indu’s recommendations. She can really bake. The pie crust was light and flaky and the filling was perfectly tart. The red velvet cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting was stellar. I think I’m going back tomorrow to try the sri lankan entrees

What are the values of these stars? * = Eeh! Methinks not.(As in You & I should skip this place) ** = Meh! I’ve experienced better.(For the money and time invested, they could do better) *** = Yay! I’m a fan.(The place is great, and I would hope others can appreciate it as well) *****= Woohoo! As good as it gets.(Hands down the top choice in what they do. You must try it out) I chose 4 stars for Indu’s because the place does not look like much from the outside and we would never have known to stop while circumferencing the lake on a lazy Tuesday. Hunger git a hold of us around Incline Village and we wanted to try something different. Low & behold, Indu’s was in a strip mall and we both had never tried Sri Lankan food. The flavors were magnificent and the portions plentiful. There seemed to be this effusive pepper in my noodle dish that I could not get enough of. The«empanada» like appetizer was also a treat and the pocket dough was so soft and tasty. Better than all the food, was Indu. Her accent is unfamiliar but her manner is so gracious. She has the natural abilities of a hostess and a fun flavor of sass and excitement while being truly concerned in your enjoyment of Sri Lankan food. We had a great time and I believe most of that was simply due to Indu.
