I love walking the port with my dogs. And there’s a nice bookstore to browse, some cute places to eat, a seafood market, boat charters and touristy type shops. I have to say it was kind of sad this time as so many of the shops are closed or restaurants out of business. I hope it turns around, Ilwaco is such a nice community.

I’m PRETTY sure this is where I was! Easy parking. Lots of little shops and eateries, as well as snack stops, like a doughnut hole stand! Wooh! There are also a lot of small business vendors here, selling organic soap bars, chimes, knitted items, artwork, and more. My sad story: I’m allergic to a lot of chapsticks, even all natural ones. This gentlemen had a booth set up, selling soaps and chapsticks. I bought a rasberry chapstick that was 100% natural from him. I WISH I BOUGHT100. I am not allergic to this one, and because it was a homemade label, the business name had been rubbed off in my pocket long before I discovered my appreciation for his product. I’ve even googled«chapstick guy Ilwaco?» with no results of course. Sad right? Lets cry together.
