I’m visiting my parents from San Diego and we decided to have some pizza last night. Being from San Diego with its many pizza places I’ve had my fair share of pizza. I was pretty impressed with this little place. The pizza was great. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a bacon and artichoke pizza with olive oil on gluten free crust. It was great, cooked perfectly. The service was awesome, the man at the counter than took my order was pleasant and patient with us considering we had 3 children one of which is my spunky and sassy four year old daughter. I will def be visiting them again!

Got a large supreme and 10 hot wings. I asked for the wings extra crispy cause I saw someone posted that they were soggy/chewy. They guy at the counter did confirm that they are baked and not fried. Hot wings were really tiny. One the size of my thumb and they were still chewy/soggy. Won’t be getting those again. The pizza was good but a little salty. I like all the tv’s and the atmosphere was nice.

The pizza here was stellar. We got the veggie and added sausage to it. Perfect. Great beer on tap. Absurdly excellent service. And a discount for PCT Hikers! Loved this place.

I was not expecting much. The pizza was delicious and fresh. The business has a huge diverse menu. I tried the portobello mushrooms also. A bit pricey for pizza

My wife and I ordered a small pizza from this place. Unfortunately, the bottom of the pizza was black because it was burned so badly but they went ahead served it to us. We were in a hurry and didn’t have time to complain. Now I’m home and thought about the pizza and decided to complain through Unilocal

It’s pricy… pizza is alright. Lines are long, so best to order first. What I’ve heard from business owners is that.“It’s Idyllwild, that’s why everything is so expensive.” They cater to tourists. and those that have cabins there only get 10% off. what’s interesting is the ambiance. It gives that cabin/wilderness feel to it, with rustic wooden tables and countertop. Lacking in customer service. not too many friendly smiles. and very busy and loud. there is a cool Lil section in the back where kids could go play video games. a few arcade games. restrooms are clean. great spot to go with family or friends. if you like busy and loud.

(reviewed by ‘a local.’) Pizzas are tasty. They make great calzones also. We usually have the ‘Tahquitz Supreme’ without the olives. I’m a big fan of ‘the Blind Date’ too! Salads are on the weak side… iceberg lettuce, barely ripe tomatoes and a handful of olives. We usually pick up a nicer salad for the same price at another restaurant on the way to picking up the pizza. Would be nice to have a salad with field greens as is becoming more common at restaurants. We hadn’t had the wings until last week and were disappointed in the size(see photo.) My husband took a look at them when he picked up the order and requested they be sent thru the oven again. So if you like your wings«crispy» ask to have them run thru twice. The dining area is usually very clean but when they get busy it might be a challenge to find a table. They have good tv coverage of most sport events with their 3 tvs. Never had bad service in the 8 years on The Hill.

Went camping with some friends and on our way home we stopped here. The food was GREAT! We got a large pizza with 3 drinks one beer and bread sticks and it was $ 40. It was expensive but the food was very good and service was Awesome. The guy at the register was very patient and chill, our order was complicated but he walked us through it. Would definitely go back

They are a little pricey but deliver on the product. Best take-out on the mountain.

The pizza was good, i would rate it overall higher but, the service poeple were a bit grumpy. The interior is typical pizza parlor, not comfortable seat, more like«eat & clear out». Pitcher beer available, our 805 on tap was a nice add. The no soda pitchers for the kids for our 8 kids @ almost $ 3 ea, drinks where more than the large pie they ate. Just say’n.

They have VEGANPIZZA! The dough is vegan as well as several sauces including the red sauce and olive oil. They say the pesto is also vegan but since pesto usually contains cheese I’m a little skeptical. Ask them to leave off the cheese and load it up with veggies and BAM — VEGANPIZZA in IDYLLWILD! You will not be missing out on flavor either because their dough and sauce is really, really good. Employees are nice enough but nothing special, as you would expect from a small town pizzeria.

Pizza was pretty good. I ordered a salad and spaghetti and meatballs paid close to 50 dls with 3 drinks. I was hoping the service would have been better. I dont know how we as customers would tip them… We get our own food when they call ur name. Plus u have to try to get through everyone every time you need to get something. Since i had three dishes i had to go back and forth 3 seperate times and had to squeeze through the line. We drove up to eat pizza… It was ok.

This place has amazing food! I went here with some friends after hiking and we each ordered a pizza and we got a side of wings for the group. All the pizzas were terrific, but the one I got, the sausage and basil pizza was the best sausage pizza I have ever eaten. Everything about each pizza was good the crust was not dry but not too doughy either and the cheese used on each was great tasting and not too chew chewy. The wings were also excellent in taste and texture. My only complaint is that the menu is slightly confusing for first-timers.

Everyone has a twist on their own pizza and despite my reputation in making a great pizza, my son and I really enjoyed this one too. It’s different but that’s what we both enjoy, a good difference. Thin crust, light sauce, feta mushrooms and olive was enjoyable. My beer was not icy cold and I couldn’t taste or see much mushroom for the price is the reason for the less than perfect rating. Plus the chalkboard menu is a little faded and hard to read. This is however, the place for family, children and sports fans who enjoy watching sports in a pizza party.

My wife and I went for a leisurely day trip to Idyllwild and stopped at the Idyllwild Pizza Co. for lunch. The staff at the counter were friendly and took the time to explain the menu since it was our first time there. Everything looked great. We ordered a salad and a meatball, mushroom and onion pizza. You could tell the salad was fresh as were the pizza toppings, and the crust was somehow both crispy and doughy. Could not have been better!

Was in town yesterday on business, I came to this pizza place many years ago… and I just so happen to be in the mood for pizza! It was 20 $ for a personal size pizza a little much then I remember… but well worth it! I had mushrooms, spinach, pepperoni, and yummy cheese! Wish I could of ordered another Togo :) I will definitely recommend and be back for more!

I can’t believe some of the reviews I’ve read here, so much so that I decided to write my first review ever! First & foremost, they make a great pizza. i’m a transplanted New York Pizza snob and while this is not a New York Pizza it’s as good as I’ve had and if you ask for it «thin» style, well done it’s as close to New York style as you’re gonna get. They have an AMAZING menu and incredible variety of pizza’s. You won’t go wrong with any of the pizza’s. They make an absolutely great Bruschetta & Baked Ziti and have a wide assortment of sandwiches with the best being the Meatball and Knockout sandwiches where they make their own meatballs. I would keep away from the wings as they are not deep fried, but go for the Portobello, which is incredible. The staff is Very helpful & friendly and have never seen them be rude even when the customers were rude to them, The guy working the front has the patience of Jobe, always having a smile and friendly word, making everyone feel special and always trying to make people laugh. Most importantly he has great suggestions for food, just ask him, he loves letting you know whats best on the menu!!! AND I’ve come to find out he is a big Sports fan and there is always some sporting event on all the TV’s. I’ve also come in when the owner was here do not for one second believe the couple reviews saying she was anything but wonderfully friendly and nice. Usually these bad reviews are personal and a lot of times done by ex employees! I have read some complaints regarding the time it takes to get your food. Being a full blown Foodie, one of the first things you do is is find out where the locals go to and where the people are. The reason there is a wait at times is that everyone knows this is the best restaurant on the hill. This is not fast food, if you want fast food stay away from Idyllwild as the town does not allow any fast food restaurants. They make everything fresh and made to order with any kind of request. Remember, the reason their may be lines is that the food is FANTASTIC and the bottom line is that, this is a pizza place, get the pizza, it’s great and one of the best pizza places anywhere!!!
